The large square instantly fell into silence, only to erupt moments later in an explosion of noise. Beastmen shouted and cheered in envy, while the females’ laughter and blessings echoed joyfully over the Watson Tribe.

Na Wei, chewing on roasted meat fed to him by a little female, Fu Yi rolling lazily in Qi Mo’s arms showing off his belly, and Xiu Yan waiting for Ji Nuan to lovingly feed him—all of them were left dumbfounded by the announcement.

They turned their expressions—ranging from bewildered to inscrutable—toward Bo Sen, who was sitting by the bonfire, his face red with a silly grin.

Oh, so Bo Sen is a schemer! Clearly, he’d discovered an effective and quick way to secure a mate, and he hadn’t shared it with anyone.

Xiao Pipi held her sister’s hand and replied, “Bo Sen said he’s going to be part of the Watson Tribe from now on. We’ll live here together, and I like him, so of course, we’re going to become mates.”

Qi Mo chuckled, genuinely happy for her younger sister.

Xiao Pipi glanced at the limp form of Fu Yi in Qi Mo’s arms. Poking at his droopy paw, she asked curiously, “Sister, what’s wrong with Fu Yi? Did you accidentally squeeze him too hard?”

Alarmed, Qi Mo quickly looked down.

Fu Yi, however, sprang up indignantly, chittering furiously, “Chit chit chit… chit chit… chit!” He waved his tiny paw—barely the size of a female’s finger—looking as if he was scolding Xiao Pipi for her nonsense.

Xiao Pipi giggled, utterly unfazed by Fu Yi’s tantrum.

Suddenly, her eyes sparkled with an idea. Suppressing her excitement, she said, “Sister, how about this? Let’s become mates together—you with Fu Yi, and me with Bo Sen. What do you think?”

Fu Yi’s flailing paw froze midair, as if someone had pressed pause. His small, shiny eyes darted nervously, betraying the inner turmoil of his tiny heart. He stared at Qi Mo, his eyes brimming with both tension and anticipation.

After a moment of thought, Qi Mo smiled and nodded. “Alright, let’s do it together.”

“Chiii~” Before anyone could react, the little mink in Qi Mo’s arms dramatically stiffened and fainted in a flourish.

Bo Sen covered his eyes, unable to watch any longer. Isn’t Fu Yi supposed to be part of the ferocious beast tribe? How is he such an embarrassment?

Taking advantage of Fu Yi’s fainting spell, Xiao Pipi cheekily poked his round little butt. Giggling, she turned to her sister and said, “Could this be what Nuan Nuan calls ‘fainting from happiness’?”

Qi Mo stifled her laughter behind her hand, her amusement evident.

Watching Bo Sen grinning like a fool and Fu Yi passed out in Qi Mo’s arms, Na Wei felt his beast heart take a thousand points of damage. He buried his head into the arms of his little female and whined, “Awwooo~”
