Leisurely Life in the Beast World - Chapter 212
“Ji Nuan, thank you so much for last time. The powder you gave me cured my mother’s worm disease, and she’s doing much better now,” Bo Sen said gratefully.
Ji Nuan waved her hand dismissively. “It was nothing. No need to thank me. I heard from brother Xiu Yan that your tribesmen are injured, so I came to check on them.”
Bo Sen nodded with appreciation and led Ji Nuan into the house. “Their arms were bitten by the Hyena Beastmen. If you can, please help treat them. They all have families back in the tribe. If they can’t hunt anymore…”
Though Bo Sen didn’t finish his sentence, Ji Nuan understood perfectly. In this world, injured male beastmen who couldn’t hunt were often abandoned by their mates, and their cubs would become wards of the tribe.
Ji Nuan looked up at Bo Sen, her pale face radiating confidence. “Don’t worry. I’ll make sure they’re healed. They won’t be left disabled.”
Reassured by her words, Bo Sen nodded and stepped outside.
Na Wei and the other injured beasts braced themselves for intense pain during the treatment. To their surprise, the little female simply sprinkled some powder on their wounds, numbing the pain instantly.
They watched in amazement as Ji Nuan used her strange methods to treat their injuries. Two of the beastmen were so relaxed that they even fell asleep and started snoring.
Bo Sen, pacing anxiously outside, rushed to Ji Nuan as she stepped out, looking relaxed. “How are they?”
Ji Nuan smiled. “Don’t worry. It’s all taken care of. Na Wei’s injury is more severe, so he’ll need to rest in bed for a few days. The others should be able to move around the day after tomorrow.”
“All healed?” Bo Sen asked, astonished.
Ji Nuan nodded firmly. “Yes, all healed.”
A wide smile spread across Bo Sen’s face as he hurried back into the house.
Ji Nuan, preparing to head home and change her clothes, encountered a curious young female at the door. “Are you a female from Bo Sen’s tribe?” Ji Nuan’s soft voice immediately calmed the energetic Xiao Pipi.
“I’m here to find my sister,” Xiao Pipi explained. “Her name is Qi Mo. Di Feng said she’s in your tribe. Do you know her?”
Ji Nuan looked at the little female in surprise. So this is Qi Mo’s younger sister? These two siblings must be incredibly tough to have both left their tribe during the cold season. Amazing!
Ji Nuan nodded. “Yes, I know her. She’s at my house. Do you want to come with me?”
Xiao Pipi eagerly nodded, grabbing Ji Nuan’s things and following her enthusiastically.
After changing her clothes, Ji Nuan returned to find the two sisters still crying and hugging each other. She rolled her eyes in exasperation. Are they water reservoirs or something? I’ve bathed, changed, and come back, and they’re still crying!
“If you two keep crying, your tears are going to flood my house!” Ji Nuan quipped.
Qi Mo finally let go of Xiao Pipi, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment.
Pulling up her still-sniffling younger sister, she introduced her to Ji Nuan. “Ah Nuan, this is my little sister, Xiao Pipi!”
Ji Nuan froze, her towel still in hand, and stared. “Xiao Pipi?”
Qi Mo patted her little sister’s head and nodded. “Yes, our mother gave her that name. We’ve just gotten used to calling her that.”
