Leisurely Life in the Beast World - Chapter 211
Lei Er’s comment landed like a bombshell among Bo Sen and his group. Bo Sen looked at him in disbelief. “Broken bones can really be healed?”
Seeing their dumbfounded faces, Lei Er couldn’t hide his pride, puffing up as he replied, “Of course! You see Xiu Yan over there? Amazing, right? Let me tell you, all three of his legs were once broken—completely shattered and covered in blood. Ji Nuan treated him, and now look at him! He’s even stronger than beasts who’ve never had broken legs.”
“Smack!” A sharp pain hit the back of Lei Er’s head, snapping him out of his bragging. A cold voice sounded from behind him, “If you’ve got nothing better to do, carry some of the injured beasts and help them back.”
Lei Er chuckled awkwardly, scurrying over to lift two injured beastmen onto his back. “Alright, alright, we’re going now.”
Bo Sen, Is this really the same golden lion beastman who just tore through the Hyena Beastmen like a whirlwind? It must be a fake.
Xiao Pipi was equally stunned by Lei Er’s antics. It’s rare to see such a shameless beastman these days. I’d better savor the moment and broaden my horizons.
By the time they arrived at the Watson Tribe, it was already afternoon. The towering city walls left Bo Sen and his companions utterly speechless. They stood at the base of the wall, mouths agape, unable to utter a word.
Only when the heavy sound of the gates lowering reached their ears did they snap out of their shock. The sight of the massive gate descending, and the deep thud as it settled into place, left a profound impression on them.
What kind of tribe is this? Bo Sen thought. Living in a place like this, no wild beast could possibly break in to harm the tribe. There’d be no need to worry about females and cubs being attacked during beast tides.
Following Xiu Yan and the others through the massive, solid gates, Bo Sen stopped mid-step to look back. The enormous gate rose steadily, sealing the entire tribe within its protective walls.
He realized that the impact of the Watson Tribe’s strength would stay with him for a lifetime.
“What are you staring at? Hurry up and catch up! Everyone’s already ahead,” Xiao Pipi called out as she bounced back toward him, noticing he was still standing there, lost in thought.
Bo Sen smiled. “The Watson Tribe is truly a powerful tribe.”
Xiao Pipi nodded, admiration shining in her eyes. “Our tribe had to migrate because of wild beast attacks, but the Watson Tribe doesn’t need to worry about that at all. They’re amazing.”
The two of them chatted as they quickened their pace to catch up with the others.
The injured beasts were taken directly to the shaman’s hut, where someone had already gone to fetch Ji Nuan. After the walls and the gates, the warmth of the houses and heated beds struck Bo Sen and his companions with yet another wave of amazement. These strange “warm caves” and cozy sleeping places—could this be where the Beast God himself lived?
“Bo Sen?” A familiar voice called from the doorway. Bo Sen turned to see a small, fair-skinned female standing there, smiling brightly. It was none other than Ji Nuan, the one they had captured from the forest before!
Seeing a familiar face, Bo Sen felt a wave of relief wash over him. He remembered the powder Ji Nuan had given him to treat the worm disease—it had saved his mother’s life. She’s a good beast!
