Immortal Martial Academy - Chapter 50
Upon receiving Lan Haoyue’s message, Wu Xianyao was somewhat surprised, not expecting the Human Race to have spies among these alien factions.
Through their communication, he sent over coordinates. Within half an hour, a Rabbit-Eared Girl stealthily approached Wu Xianyao.
“Sir, please follow me.” Wu Xianyao felt puzzled, a Rabbit-Eared Girl?
Wu Xianyao trailed behind her to the outskirts of the city, where the Alien Race’s slums were located.
Indeed, even within the Alien Races, there existed those with exceptionally poor innate talents, living under harsh conditions. The Rabbit-Eared Clan exemplified this, possessing remarkably weak abilities.
While other alien races typically developed at least 1st or 2nd Rank strength upon maturity, members of the Rabbit-Eared Clan never reached even 1st Rank as adults. Deemed “useless” by the Aliens, they risked being consumed.
However, even for the Aliens, consuming members of the Rabbit-Eared Clan held little benefit, leading to general indifference towards them.
As Wu Xianyao observed the Rabbit-Eared Girl, her shimmering seven-star Martial Dao talent caught his attention, stirring some thoughts within him.
Inside a dilapidated house, the Rabbit-Eared Girl glanced around before closing the door. “Sir, the influential figure who recently arrived from the rear is the Young Lord of the Heaven Raising Python Clan, but I heard it’s actually a female. She resides near the edge of the Inner City; the exact location matches where I found you earlier. Unfortunately, that’s all the information we have.”
“The Heaven Raising Python Clan, that complicates matters,” Wu Xianyao thought to himself.
The Heaven Raising Python Clan is a subordinate race of the Yamata Clan, and within it, there are many further subordinate races, including the snake race.
Recalling the powerful snake race member he encountered earlier, Wu Xianyao surmised she must be the Dao Protector.
Wu Xianyao nodded and looked at the Rabbit-Eared Girl, “Take this; it should help change your clan’s situation somewhat.” He handed her the Foundation Technique.
It remained uncertain whether the Rabbit-Eared Clan could cultivate it, but the Foundation Technique was simple enough for most bipedal races to attempt, with varying degrees of success depending on their aptitude.
After giving the technique, Wu Xianyao left the room, unconcerned about whether the Rabbit-Eared Girl would indeed cultivate it or not.
Returning to the same attic, Wu Xianyao observed from a distance until the next morning when two figures emerged. As they spoke, their forked tongues flickered like snakes’.
“Young Lord, we must be cautious this time. We’ve received word from the bat clan that the Human Race has set its sights on us,” said the woman whom Wu Xianyao had seen the previous day.
“Aunt Qing, don’t worry. The Berserk Lion and Flame Rat Clans both need our assistance. Our leader has struck deals with them to ensure my inheritance of his power, along with having hidden experts guarding us.”
The Snake Maiden expressed great confidence in her upcoming promotion, believing that with such formidable protection, success was assured.
“It’s still best to be cautious. Let’s head immediately to the Human Race battlefield. With armies from the Rat Clan and Berserk Lion Clan there, it will be much safer. At least under their protection, our safety is guaranteed.”
After this exchange, Aunt Qing, the snake woman, summoned a treasure ship. Both she and the maiden boarded, setting course for the human front lines.
Wu Xianyao swiftly ascended, activated his Stealth Bracelet, and soared into the sky. Once clear of the city, he entered the Little Panda Express.
Sending a message to Lan Haoyue, he commanded, “Initiate!”
Six armored Human warriors, all 5th Rank experts, suddenly charged forward. Wu Xianyao wondered where these elite fighters had come from.
Around the treasure ship, skilled snake race members emerged, engaging the human warriors fiercely. The treasure ship accelerated, attempting to escape the battle zone.
Simultaneously, nine Flame Rat strongholds were infiltrated by human squads, igniting fierce battles between the Seed Divine Guard’s Flame Rats and the Human Battle Teams.
The Berserk Lion and Blood Wolf clans faced off against the Human Race’s battleships, which had their Protomagnetic Crystal Arrows at the ready. Any move from these two clans would prompt immediate retaliation from the humans.
Lan Haoyue stood opposite the Blood Wolf clan as Wolf 7 stepped forward. Despite being only a 6th Rank, Wolf 7 showed no fear facing Lan Haoyue.
“Lan Haoyue, you seem quite confident about this battle,” sneered Wolf 7, appearing disdainful.
Hovering in the sky, Lan Haoyue chuckled, “Actually, we’re not here to fight. We simply need your powerful beings to refrain from providing support elsewhere. Besides, that particular beast isn’t even of your Blood Wolf lineage. Our actions could potentially benefit you, don’t you think?”
Wolf 7 understood what Lan Haoyue implied, realizing it indeed wasn’t unfavorable for the Blood Wolf clan. With this thought, his tension eased slightly.
“You can observe our forces now, but once the beast tide gathers fully, I wonder if you’ll be able to withstand it,” Wolf 7 said with a somewhat arrogant smile.
Lan Haoyue waved her hand dismissively, “We’ll discuss it when the time comes. If your single race ventures into Human territory, just see if we can’t eliminate you.
Moreover, provoke us Humans too far, and imagine what would happen if we collectively target one specific race. Do you think their larger clans would intervene then?”
Wolf 7 fell silent, acknowledging the truth in Lan Haoyue’s words. No single race could withstand the might of the Human Race alone. This was precisely why various races chose to form alliances over millennia, recognizing the Human Race as a formidable major power among them.
While no immediate action took place here, chaos erupted within the Rat Clan strongholds. Nine squads infiltrated each stronghold, engaging with Seed Divine Guards. The mere aftershocks from these battles resulted in the deaths of over a thousand Black Rats and Flame Rats.
The nine squads wreaked havoc across the Rat Clan strongholds. Some managed to temporarily hold out by activating Space Altars, but under relentless bombardment from the battleships’ missiles, casualties remained heavy.
These nine squads aimed to kill whenever possible, otherwise entangling their opponents, all while stalling for time.
On the battlefield, the Human Race had consistently been on the defensive, not merely against individual races, but particularly against the combined forces of allied races.
Each defensive line typically consisted of three clans, so ten lines meant thirty clans combined. For the Human Race to withstand such a joint assault for this long was truly remarkable, especially considering they faced targeted attacks from some powerful Alien Races, which exacerbated their challenges.
Individually, the Human Race could easily overpower each clan on its own.
The Berserk Lion Clan’s territory was also in chaos, with numerous 4th Rank squads and even some 5th Rank squads engaging them, temporarily suppressing the Lions’ advance. However, the commanding officer overseeing this battlefield knew it wouldn’t last long.
Intense firepower rained down, causing the Berserk Lion Clan to scatter chaotically. After approximately five to six minutes, the Lions began their counterattack, deploying various large-scale artifacts to retaliate against the battleships.
Lion Warriors clashed with Heavy Soldiers, while assassination squads unleashed deadly surprise moves one after another.
Meanwhile, Wu Xianyao, unaware of these developments, issued orders from his side, “Little Panda, lock onto that treasure ship and use Protomagnetic Crystal Arrows to take it down.”
“Locking on… Lock acquired…”
“Fire!”
A swift blue crystal arrow launched, piercing through the treasure ship’s protective shield effortlessly before detonating the vessel. Aunt Qing, clutching the Snake Maiden, swiftly darted away.
“Little Panda, give chase!”
The engines of Little Panda roared to life, swiftly catching up with the fleeing snake race members.
Wielding his World Illuminating Spear, Wu Xianyao spread his wings and flew out from the battleship, directly charging towards the Young Lord of the Heaven Raising Python Clan.
