In room 101, Wu Xianyao opened his eyes, concluding his cultivation session.

His Divine Sense now extended to eleven meters, with the minimum requirement for acupoint breakthrough being one kilometer; he still had some way to go.

After tidying up, Wu Xianyao descended the stairs and approached the reception desk. He noticed the young woman there seemed dispirited, occasionally glancing towards the door as if waiting for someone.

“Xiao Die, I’m here. You can head home now.”

It was the same receptionist from the previous night.

The girl called Xiao Die hastily ran out, looking somewhat disappointed.

Wu Xianyao retrieved a pack of cigarettes from his space ring and handed it to the receptionist.

Without hesitation, the receptionist accepted, opened the pack, took out a cigarette, lit it, and deeply inhaled.

“That’s Yun Die, a local here. Her sister went missing last month and was brought back yesterday, but unfortunately, she lost her lower body,” he explained. “Her sister’s body is now at the administrative department. They were only two sisters living together, and over these past months, Yun Die has been seeking help to find news about her sister. No one could have predicted that her sister fell victim to a hidden member of the Alien Race who abducted her.”

“This city is a crucial border defense, so how could the Alien Race infiltrate without being detected?” Wu Xianyao wondered aloud, puzzled by how the aliens managed both entry and exit undetected.

The young man exhaled a puff of smoke, “Some Aliens possess unique abilities; they can change their forms, appearing as small as mice when young, blending in like ordinary animals. Unless they use their powers, no one would suspect them.

Their true nature is revealed only when they employ these abilities. Both we and the Alien Race have access to Space Gates, making it difficult to fully defend against such infiltrations despite the military’s vigilance.”

Wu Xianyao acknowledged that the Alien Race had diverse and often unpredictable capabilities, realizing his previous understanding was limited.

“Thank you.” Wu Xianyao prepared to leave. Yesterday, he visited the Flame Rat territory, and today he planned to check on the Blood Wolf and Berserk Lion Tribes.

“Try to minimize going out recently. During this period, assassination squads from the Alien Race often infiltrate the stronghold, posing significant danger,” the young man warned, crushing out his cigarette.

Wu Xianyao waved dismissively, “No worries, I’ll kill any that come my way.”

“Heh! You’re quite interesting.” The young man returned to the front desk, resuming his work.

As Wu Xianyao exited the city, he spotted Yun Die carrying a corpse horizontally. Its lower half was entirely skeletal, while bystanders watched silently with somber expressions.

“Damn Aliens, cursed bastards!” a nearby warrior clenched his fists and muttered angrily.

Wu Xianyao paused, stepping aside to let the girl pass. Her eyes were vacant as she carried the corpse forward.

Once the girl was far enough, Wu Xianyao continued on his way. At the Fortress registration point, after reviewing Wu Xianyao’s information, the registrar cautioned him to stay safe.

This puzzled Wu Xianyao. Exiting the Fortress, he unfurled his Qi and Blood Wings, soared into the sky, opened up his map, and headed towards the outskirts.

The Blood Wolf tribe lay in another direction, and Wu Xianyao flew towards it. Approximately 40 kilometers away, he halted, effortlessly dispatching any scouting squads he encountered along the way.

Upon landing, finding no immediate threats, Wu Xianyao ventured deeper. He kept a cautious distance from observed strongholds, noting their heightened defenses. Each stronghold typically housed at least three 5th Rank Blood Wolves alongside tens of thousands of 1st and 2nd Rank blood wolf warriors. While he could potentially engage them, Wu Xianyao feared potential reinforcements from other Blood Wolves. Getting trapped and killed here would be counterproductive.

With a combination of small arrows and marble bombs, Wu Xianyao felt confident in capturing these strongholds. However, after each wave, his weapon supplies were severely depleted. It seemed he would need to contact Xiao Lin tonight to prepare more weaponry.

Over twenty Blood Wolf strongholds encircled the Fortress, with the Berserk Lion Tribe doing likewise. Each Berserk Lion stood at least five meters tall, and from a distance, Wu Xianyao observed low-rank Xenobeasts gathering, confirming the likelihood of an impending xenobeast tide.

After reconnaissance, Wu Xianyao decided to temporarily retreat; the enemy numbers were overwhelming, making a direct assault suicidal.

Once back at a safe distance of thirty kilometers, Wu Xianyao sighed in relief. The sheer number of enemies required either immense martial force or powerful weapons to overcome.

Returning to Room 101 at Peace Hotel, Wu Xianyao opened his card slots:

[Card Slot 1: Technology Weapon Grimoire Deduction – 95% Complete]

[Card Slot 2: Divine Sword Thunder Governing True Secret Art Deduction – 5% Complete]

[Card Slot 3: Slaying Martial Way Deduction – 10% Complete]

“The Technology Weapon Grimoire will be complete tomorrow. I must notify Xiao Lin to check it out. Afterwards, we can deduce additional technological items for starting our tech company, perfect timing.”

The only concern was whether Xiao Lin could manage everything, unsure what the kid might be up to currently.

After tidying up at the academy, Chen Beixuan drove home. His parents seemed to be out somewhere, while Qing Qing had prepared dinner and was waiting on the sofa for him.

Hearing the door open, Qing Qing stood up, “You’re back.”

Chen Beixuan nodded, noticing he carried no bags, Qing Qing proceeded to serve the meal.

Seated at the dining table, Chen Beixuan enjoyed the dishes cooked by Qing Qing. “Tomorrow, I’m heading to the front lines as part of the academy’s combat team. This time, it will be a one-month deployment before I return. Please take care of our parents while I’m away. I’ve transferred all the household funds to you; feel free to purchase anything needed online. With the weather getting hot and your pregnancy advancing, avoid going out too much. If you don’t want to handle chores yourself, hire a nanny.”

Qing Qing simply watched Chen Beixuan without saying a word, nodding silently to everything he said.

Once they finished their meal, Qing Qing washed the dishes and then sat down on the sofa, sharing, “Your parents moved out, saying they didn’t want to disturb your homecoming routine.”

Chen Beixuan realized that his early mornings and late returns might have indeed bothered them.

Then, Qing Qing went into the room and emerged with a saber, a 3rd Rank weapon. It wasn’t designed for Qi and Blood Martial Artists but rather for the gifted individuals. Even in the hands of an ordinary person, this blade would prove exceptionally powerful.

“They said they can’t bear the thought of separation. This weapon was purchased by your parents for you, so you can face enemies without worrying about home.”

Chen Beixuan sheathed his saber, looking at Qing Qing, “Believe me, I will return safely.”

Qing Qing nodded, “I’ll wait for you here, I trust you.”

Meanwhile, at the Li family’s villa, Li Junlin, Li Linyang, and Li Linyue quietly observed their parents.

Li Linyang and Li Linyue had already returned from the front lines, but the main concern lay with Li Junlin.

Originally, Li Junlin planned to marry as soon as he found a suitable match, but no such match had materialized yet. Consequently, the wedding plans were indefinitely postponed until now, just before he was set to go to war.

Li Jie looked conflicted at Li Junlin, finally sighing, “I know you’re determined to go to battle, and there’s nothing I can do to stop you. Even your elder siblings cannot defeat you anymore. However, they have military protection. As for you, working with the academy team, please ensure your safety at all times. Here is the weapon I’ve prepared for you.”

With that, Li Jie turned and walked upstairs, hands clasped behind him. Chen Mingming supported Li Jie, her worry evident despite saying nothing.

Li Junlin picked up the weapon, impressed to find it was a 3rd Rank long spear. However, being a Qi and Blood Martial Artist, he couldn’t use it effectively and could only store it away as a collectible.
