After planning some matters, Wu Xianyao realized having just one assistant might not be sufficient and asked, “Do we need to hire more assistants?”

Xia Yiyi froze, feeling alarmed – did this mean she was about to lose her job? That couldn’t happen.

She had taken on this role specifically to help monitor the Headmaster for the Ninth Princess; there was no need for additional assistants. Those pesky little enchantresses better not even think of entering the Headmaster’s sphere of attention.

“No, I can handle everything perfectly well on my own,” Xia Yiyi firmly stated, sounding resolute and unwavering.

Her words made her appear quite noble and superior, at least that’s how Xia Yiyi felt about herself.

“That works. The matter of hiring assistants is up to you. If needed, feel free to recruit them yourself.” With that, Wu Xianyao left the office. Now that plans for the academy were set, it was time to check on the Seventh District again.

Watching Wu Xianyao depart, Xia Yiyi clenched her fists tightly. “Those little enchantresses, don’t even dream of getting close to the Headmaster. He belongs to our princess.”

Unbeknownst to Wu Xianyao, his young assistant may have awakened some peculiar tendencies.

At the teahouse in the Seventh District, Wu Xianyao merely glanced over before continuing on his way. The place now lacked its nostalgic charm and exuded more commercial vibes.

Well, it’s no longer Old An’s sanctuary, and focusing too much attention here wouldn’t be appropriate.

At the Royal Estate, Xia Jiufeng made a rare visit home today. Upon entering, she found it devoid of lavish decorations; instead, there was a serene elegance with small bridges and flowing water.

An elderly man with graying temples sat brewing tea at a pavilion, reclining in a rocking chair and engrossed in reading a book.

Noticing the commotion, he spotted Xia Jiufeng and chuckled, “Well, well, my little niece finally returns. I half-expected you to stay smitten with your husband, never coming back.”

Xia Qing’s tone sounded slightly jealous, but to Xia Jiufeng, it conveyed her Eldest Imperial Uncle feeling醋意, subtly asking for reassurance.

“Aiya! Eldest Imperial Uncle, how could you be jealous of my husband? As the esteemed Imperial Uncle of Great Xia, with such grand vision and wisdom, why would you feel this way?” Xia Jiufeng playfully responded, blushing coyly as if embarrassed.

“Ha ha, my little girl has grown up. Tell me, what kind of person is your husband-prince?” Despite his age, Xia Qing, being among the gifted, still possessed considerable strength. Sensing Xia Jiufeng’s diminished power, he had questions lingering in his mind. However, as her elder, he maintained composure.

A silver spear appeared in Xia Jiufeng’s hand as she spoke earnestly, “Eldest Imperial Uncle, this is what my husband is currently doing. I hope you will support him after witnessing it.”

With her Qi and Blood surging, Xia Jiufeng began performing her spear technique. Her movements were grand and majestic, exuding a regal aura of unparalleled dominance.

As Xia Qing watched Xia Jiufeng’s demonstration, his eyes sparkled with admiration, recognizing elements foreign to their era. The wisdom of the older generation truly surpassed Xia Jiufeng’s understanding.

This was the Martial Dao, an unknown path yet to be fully explored. That child is now spreading this Martial Dao, essentially saving the world. With that realization, Xia Qing understood why Xia Jiufeng had been away for so long.

If left solely to one person, Wu Xianyao would bear immense hardship. Xia Qing was well aware of the challenges faced on the path of the Martial Dao.

When this new Martial Dao emerged, the child chose to propagate it, aiming to save their world.

The burden he carries is heavy, shouldered entirely by himself. Only someone like him could captivate the heart of his niece!

Lost in deep thought, Xia Qing snapped back to reality only when Xia Jiufeng called out to him.

“Eldest Imperial Uncle, isn’t my husband amazing!” In front of her family, Xia Jiufeng dropped all formalities, sounding like a proud child showing off.

“Indeed, he is remarkable! If you truly love him, treat him well. Although we bear the title of Great Xia’s Imperial Family, today it holds little significance.

We are citizens of Great Xia, just like everyone else, working together to build our nation.” The Eldest Imperial Uncle had a broad perspective; the Imperial Family belonged to the past, while now, Great Xia belongs to its people. Anyone claiming ownership over Great Xia would face swift retribution from the Xia family.

“Absolutely! I even assigned Xia Yi as his personal assistant, and both Mao Mao and I are students at his academy now.

Eldest Imperial Uncle, could you please help? People don’t believe in the Martial Dao yet, and the Immortal Martial Academy struggles to enroll new students. Xia Yi is almost pulling his hair out with stress,” Xia Jiufeng subtly revealed her request.

Recently, the Immortal Martial Academy’s official website was flooded with critical comments. Whenever current students tried to address these concerns, they faced further backlash, feeling helpless despite their intentions.

However, Wu Xianyao remained undeterred, although it bothered the students deeply. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much they could do, as most enrolled students were personally recruited by Wu Xianyao himself.

“I knew it; you wouldn’t visit without a reason, young lady. I’ll pass this matter to the military department, but whether they agree or not remains uncertain.

Providing protection might inadvertently draw attention from the Alien Race, potentially endangering the Immortal Martial Academy. Conversely, if we ignore them, the Aliens may overlook the academy altogether.

As long as you continue growing steadily, we will shield you upfront. Once you become powerful enough, even the Alien Race would find targeting you increasingly difficult.”

Xia Jiufeng nodded at Xia Qing’s analysis, acknowledging his wisdom and insight as an experienced elder.

If Great Xia openly revealed the Martial Dao, Wu Xianyao could face constant assassination attempts. Currently, Wu Xianyao was still developing, and Xia Qing’s plan, with some refinement, seemed like a viable strategy.

After spending a day at home, Xia Jiufeng returned to the academy and discussed the situation with Xia Yi, who agreed with Xia Qing’s approach.

Once Xia Jiufeng left, Xia Qing began pondering seriously.

The path of the Martial Dao was not straightforward; no one knew its ultimate potential. As the pioneer, only Wu Xianyao might have insights into how far it could reach.

It was time to weed out the Alien Race’s infiltrators among humans. Regardless of how far this path could lead, as long as there was hope, Xia Qing was willing to take the risk. Time was running out for the human race.

If Wu Xianyao could rise and strengthen the academy with more powerful individuals, Xia Qing’s actions would prove worthwhile.

Even if it didn’t pan out, reaching the First Realm grants ordinary people ten thousand kilograms of strength, which is still significant.

Xia Qing began discreetly arranging matters, ensuring secrecy even from some of the oldest figures. He relied solely on his family’s resources for this endeavor.

No one dared to gamble with such stakes; if discovered by the Alien Race, Great Xia’s hopes would vanish. Although the current prospects were slim, they remained hopes nonetheless. As long as there was hope, Xia Qing would seize every opportunity.

Unaware of these developments, Wu Xianyao was engrossed in a game of chess with the elderly man at the neighborhood entrance. “Grandpa, remember your promise if I win – help distribute my flyers around the neighborhood.”

The old man puffed on his pipe, pointing at the chessboard, “Of course, I won’t go back on my word. A man’s word is his bond. Back in my battlefield days, Old Blade here took down three xenobeasts.”
