Qiu Xia, still shaken from her encounter, hastily decided to seek out Wu Xianyao. However, upon seeing the massive crater on the ground, she muttered incredulously, “Who could be so disrespectful, causing such damage?”

Realizing she couldn’t find anyone immediately, Qiu Xia reluctantly gave up and resumed guarding Lan Yuecai with disappointment.

Wu Xianyao felt anxious; during the recent battle, one of his opponents was a 3rd Rank Alien. While he managed it without issue, it posed a significant threat to others.

For the first time, Wu Xianyao wished he were faster, estimating at least another five minutes before reaching Li Junlin’s home.

Chen Beixuan ended the communication, observing the chaotic combat scene ahead. With a saber strapped at his waist and a long spear in hand, he charged into the fray.

Li Junlin had already entered the fray a minute earlier, and Chen Beixuan would have followed suit much sooner if not for notifying Wu Xianyao.

The twenty Alien assassins were divided into two groups – one engaged with the Nightwatchers, while the other surrounded Li Linyue and Li Linyang.

“The Sun-Moon Twin Stars, what a fortunate discovery! Devouring you both will undoubtedly elevate my aptitude to new heights. To those beneath the 3rd Rank, they’re mere ants, ensuring I’ll ascend to the 4th Rank.”

Li Linyue and Li Linyang were now covered with wounds, while their parents had already retreated to the basement. If they couldn’t defeat these aliens, both siblings feared for their survival.

Leading a team of about a dozen, Chunqiu engaged ten alien assassins in a fierce battle, each move potentially lethal, yet unable to deliver the killing blow.

“Linyue, Linyang, hold on just a bit longer, the captain will arrive soon,” Chunqiu urged anxiously, knowing that the Twin Stars of Great Xia represented its future hope.

“Ha! Captain, let’s see if your so-called 4th Rank powerhouse can even survive this assassination attempt first.” The leader among the black-robed figures sneered as he slashed his claw, leaving three new gashes on Linyue’s body.

Li Linyue stifled a groan, gripping her saber tightly to continue battling the surrounding alien assassins. Back-to-back, Linyue and Linyang coordinated their defense, repelling every assassin who charged at them. However, even repelling was becoming increasingly difficult, let alone attempting to kill any.

As Li Junlin burst onto the scene, he quickly analyzed the situation: the Nightwatchers could still hold their own, but his brother and sister were in dire need of assistance. In a single breath, Li Junlin made his decision, charging towards Linyue and Linyang with his spear raised.

Everyone noticed Li Junlin’s sudden appearance, but sensing no aura from him, it was clear he was just an ordinary civilian.

As Li Junlin charged towards one of the alien assassins, the creature couldn’t help but marvel at its luck today. Although Junlin seemed like an ordinary human, he would still make for a tasty meal.

Licking its lips, the assassin raised its claw, ready to slice through the young man before taking him away as prey.

“Linyue, Linyang shouted anxiously, “Little brother, don’t come here! Quickly leave, they’re from the Alien Race.”

Increasing their efforts, Linyue and Linyang tried desperately to reach and protect Li Junlin.

However, under the combined assault of nine aliens, they were firmly held back.

With silver spear in hand, leaving behind a trail of afterimages, Li Junlin instantly appeared before the black-robed figure.

Just as the assassin prepared to strike, its pupils contracted with a sudden sense of danger!

It swiftly rolled on the ground, narrowly avoiding Li Junlin’s thrust.

Li Junlin, following Wu Xianyao’s teachings, never wasted time with idle talk when he could kill outright. If others were shocked, seize the opportunity to take down more enemies – that’s the best approach.

In this moment, Li Junlin twisted his spear, channeling vital energy for a sweeping attack.

The black-robed figure reacted hastily, but within that brief moment, the opportunity had vanished.

Clutching his neck, he stared wide-eyed at Li Junlin, gasping, “How is this possible?” before collapsing to the ground.

As his life force faded, his true form was revealed: a one-meter-long black bat.

Li Junlin’s afterimages surged towards the remaining nine black-robed figures.

“Absurd! Do you think we’re mere clay figurines? You alone can’t take on all nine of us,” exclaimed one of the black-robed figures, breaking free from Li Linyue and Li Linyang’s entanglement to confront Li Junlin.

A silvery-white long spear swiftly intercepted the path of the escaping figure. “Junlin, leave him to me; go assist your sister and brother.”

Recognizing the urgency, Li Junlin nodded slightly and charged towards the other eight black-robed figures.

The targeted black-robed figure attempted to block Li Junlin’s advance.

Chen Beixuan stepped forward, asserting, “Your opponent is me now.”

Employing his advanced Movement Technique, Chen Beixuan closed the gap, his silver spear mirroring each step, relentlessly pressing forward. The black-robed figure also wielded a weapon, a bone knife of unknown material.

“You’re courting death, boy. I’ll savor eating you piece by piece,” the black-robed figure menacingly replied.

As he spoke, waves of dizziness assaulted Chen Beixuan.

Chen Beixuan frowned slightly; recognizing it as a sound wave attack, he stabilized his Qi and Blood, dispelling the disorienting sensation.

The clash between the bone blade and silver spear produced a dull thud, lacking the typical metallic ring but no less perilous.

With each heavy strike from the bone blade, Chen Beixuan parried using the silver spear, eyes narrowing. Holding the spear with one hand, he swiftly unsheathed the saber at his waist.

A white streak flashed momentarily before disappearing. Chen Beixuan then resumed his grip on the spear, while the black-robed figure stared down at his waist, coughed up blood, and muttered, “So fast.” His upper body slid to the ground moments later.

Chen Beixuan breathed a sigh of relief; the entire battle had lasted merely seconds. He glanced towards Li Junlin and rushed to join him.

Eight adversaries remained. The black-robed figure who earlier mentioned exploiting weaknesses detached himself and charged directly at Chen Beixuan.

Li Junlin was already engaged, facing seven opponents surrounding them. Three of their group formed a triangle back-to-back against the seven black-robed figures.

Chen Beixuan hadn’t anticipated that any black-robed figures would target him separately. If he could reunite with Li Junlin, the pressure they faced would significantly decrease.

The leader, aware of the Twin Stars’ prowess, confidently assessed their advantage with all present being 2nd Rank experts, plus himself as a 3rd Rank.

Facing the leader’s attack, Chen Beixuan remained cautious, recognizing him likely as a 3rd Rank opponent.

As the black-robed figure charged, Chen Beixuan tightened his grip on the silver spear, channeling blood-red vital energy onto its surface.

“Overlord Spear!” A mountainous aura weighed heavily upon the leading black-robed figure.

Caught off guard by this Martial Skill from Chen Beixuan, the leader merely sneered at the overwhelming pressure.

A piercing scream echoed, unleashing a sonic wave attack. Chen Beixuan felt his vital energies churning tumultuously, waves crashing within his mind; he coughed up a mouthful of blood, and the Overlord Spear was disrupted.

Swiftly following, razor-sharp claws emerged. Despite feeling disoriented, Chen Beixuan wasn’t entirely defenseless. As the claws neared, he swiftly unsheathed his saber, striking out decisively and severing one claw.

“Agh! I will kill you.” The leader retreated, shocked to be injured by a human, especially someone he considered insignificant, akin to a mere ant.

The severed claw swiftly regrew as the black-robed figure waved its claws menacingly, “I was merely careless earlier. Don’t let me kill you too quickly, boy; it would be utterly boring. You must provide some entertainment, understand?” Its crimson eyes gleamed with excitement.

The black-robed figure soared into the sky, unleashing waves of sonic attacks while revealing its true form: a massive bat. The giant bat continuously emitted these distressing sound waves from above.

For a moment, Chen Beixuan struggled to find an effective countermeasure. Each time the bat swooped down, his mind experienced intense vibrations.

“You’re the first to ever injure me, boy,” the Black Bat declared. “Throughout history, no one has escaped assassination by my Black Bat clan.”

The Black Bat’s attacks intensified, forcing Chen Beixuan to exert all his effort in defense, but with diminishing success. Blood began trickling from his senses.

Checking the time, Chen Beixuan noted it had been four minutes already – Xianyao should arrive soon.

Glancing at Li Junlin’s group, he saw they were holding their own relatively well. Their opponents had also revealed their true forms and were now surrounding them, but the trio seemed capable of enduring for now.
