Immersive Horror Game - Chapter 7

Seeing someone standing by his bed, Mo Shouchun’s heart skipped a beat. He quickly pulled the covers back up, but it was too late, a  tremendous force yanked them off.

In the dim light of the nightlight, he saw the person standing before him was none other than “Liu Lei”.

Mo Shouchun quickly covered his mouth with his hand, pretended to yawn, and said calmly, “Stop fooling around. Go to sleep!”

“Heh…”

“Liu Lei” let out a chilling laugh. “Stop pretending. You’re not from this world at all!”

He was done for. He had been exposed!

Mo Shouchun felt a surge of frustration, but he couldn’t understand how he’d been discovered.

He tried to run, but “Liu Lei” gave him no chance. “Liu Lei” pounced on him and pinned his shoulders down. With his body pressing down on his legs, he opened his jaws to bite at Mo Shouchen’s neck.

People of this world were not only terrifying in appearance but also incredibly strong. Mo Shouchun was pinned to the bed, unable to break free. In desperation, he could only raise his arm to defend himself.

“Liu Lei” bit down on his arm mercilessly.

Mo Shouchen was briefly paralysed by a sharp, bone-deep pain. He could feel the other’s teeth grinding against his bones.

Perhaps the intense pain unleashed his hidden potential, since the next moment, with a sudden burst of energy, Mo Shouchen struggled to free one leg and kicked out blindly with all his might.

A scream rang out, and “Liu Lei” collapsed. The kick must have landed on his groin.

It seems that no matter the world, a man’s weakness would always be the same.

After being released, Mo Shouchen quickly scrambled off the bed and rushed to the door. Just then, he heard a low growl coming from behind him. It was just like a wild beast’s warning!

Turning around, he saw “Liu Lei” wobbling to his feet while supporting himself by the bed frame. This monster’s recovery rate was simply too fast!

At this point, Mo Shouchen didn’t care if anyone else was outside. He opened the door and rushed out. Tragically, there really was someone outside!

They had been standing right in front of the doorway. He bumped into the person, who then shoved him back into the room and slammed the door shut.

One “Liu Lei” was already too much to handle, let alone another one. Mo Shouchen was utterly desperate. If he had known this would happen, he wouldn’t have rushed towards the door but jumped out the window instead. That would have granted him a quicker death!

Mo Shouchen simply gave up resisting. He lowered his hands and waited for his body to be torn to pieces. But instead of feeling soul-crushing pain, a strange thing happened instead.

The person who came in didn’t pounce on him. Instead, they brushed past him and collided directly with the charging “Liu Lei”!

A series of electric shocks buzzed out, and blue light flashed in the person’s hand. The “Liu Lei”, who had been as ferocious as a beast just moments before, convulsed and collapsed to his knees.

Holy crap…

Thor?!

However, this Thor was clearly not as fierce as the one in the movies. Or perhaps the Liu Lei from another world possessed a tenacious vitality like Thanos. Even after being electrocuted, he was still able to raise his hand and slap Thor away!

“Stop staring and help!” Thor roared.

Hearing this voice, Mo Shouchun realised that this person wasn’t Thor at all, but Liu Lei holding a stun gun!

Seeing the real Liu Lei, Mo Shouchun was overjoyed. He even had an urge to hug him, but now was clearly not the time for reminiscing.

Seeing that “Liu Lei” was about to get up, he grabbed the electric kettle next to him and smashed it hard against his head.

Bang!

Mo Shouchun used all his strength, and the kettle deformed on impact. If it hit an ordinary person’s head, they would probably be half-dead, if not dead. But “Liu Lei” of this cursed world was completely unharmed.

Just as he was about to strike a second time, “Liu Lei” swiftly turned around, punched him in the chest and sent him flying. The electric kettle also fell to the ground.

“Liu Lei” let out another terrifying roar; clearly, this monster was now completely enraged!

Mo Shouchun tried to get up, but the moment he moved, a sharp pain shot through his chest, making it impossible for him to stand.

“Liu Lei” picked up the electric kettle from the ground, raised it high, and smashed it down on Mo Shouchun’s head.

Mo Shouchun closed his eyes, and a picture of an egg being smashed by a rock flashed through his mind.

Just when he thought he was about to meet his maker, Liu Lei, who had recovered, seized the opportunity and rushed forward.

This time, his stun gun struck “Liu Lei” directly on the neck. After a series of electric shocks, the powerful monster finally collapsed after spasming like a fish.

Liu Lei staggered back a few steps, leaned against the wall, and asked, “Are you alright?”

Mo Shouchun rubbed his chest, grimacing, “Don’t think I died.’’

“I didn’t expect it to be so dangerous. I shouldn’t have let you come. I’m sorry…” Liu Lei’s tone was somewhat dejected.

“Saying sorry to me? Just wash my socks for a month when we return.”

“Washing socks is out of the question. At most, I’ll treat you to barbecue for a month.”

“Two months!”

“One and a half months!”

“Deal!”

The two bickered back and forth, their fear and anxiety dissipating somewhat.

Mo Shouchen leaned against the wall to stand up and turned on the room light. Only then did he see that Liu Lei was covered in blood. His shirt was torn and revealed a bloody wound on his left shoulder. He made for a very pathetic sight.

He himself wasn’t in much better shape. His forearm had been bitten by the Liu Lei of this world, exposing the flesh and revealing the bone underneath.

“Let’s leave quickly. If this monster wakes up, we’ll both be done for in this state!” Mu Shouchen muttered with lingering fear.

“Don’t worry, this stun gun is very strong. He won’t wake up anytime soon. And with how badly injured you are, we need to treat you first,” Liu Lei said as he pulled a roll of gauze from his suitcase.

“Don’t forget, there’s another ‘me’ in this world. If he shows up, we’re both doomed,” Mo Shouchen reminded him.

Liu Lei shook the stun gun in his hand and said smugly, “He’s sleeping soundly right now.”

“You’ve already met the ‘me’ of this world? Was the injury on your shoulder caused by him?”

Liu Lei nodded. He began recounting his ordeal as he bandaged Mo Shouchen’s wound.
