Immersive Horror Game - Chapter 6
“I…”
Mo Shouchun was about to speak when “Liu Lei” suddenly stepped forward and stood in front of him. His brows furrowed as he scrutinised his face.
Mo Shouchun had a bad feeling.
The “cleaning lady” from before didn’t know him well, so it was easy to fool her. But “Liu Lei” from this other world wouldn’t be so easy to fool. Had he seen through something?
Just as Mo Shouchun was trembling with fear, “Liu Lei” pointed at his face, “Why is there blood on your face?”
Mo Shouchun then realised that it was the blood on his face that hadn’t been wiped clean which attracted “Liu Lei’s” attention.
“Ah, I accidentally tripped and fell. I was just about to wash it off.”
“Why didn’t you go back to the room to wash it?”
“I thought you were already asleep. I was afraid that going back would wake you up, so I came here instead.”
“Liu Lei” pointed to the sink next to him and said, “Wash it fast then.”
Mo Shouchun was dumbfounded. Wash it here? Wouldn’t that immediately give him away? But he had already said it. He could only bite the bullet and walk to the sink.
He bent down and glanced at the mirror in front. “Liu Lei” was staring at him through the mirror. If he removed his hands from his face, he would immediately realise that he wasn’t from this world.
What to do? Should he fight this monster?
Mo Shouchen turned on the tap while thinking about how to deal with the situation. When his hand touched the water, he suddenly thought of a delaying tactic.
“The water here is too cold. Anyway, since you are awake, let’s go back. I’ll take a shower instead.” Mo Shouchen turned off the tap, shook his wet hand, and walked out of the bathroom.
Although it was a bit dangerous to go back to the room with the “Liu Lei” from another world, if he didn’t do this, he would be exposed immediately. He could only take it one step at a time.
“Liu Lei” didn’t say anything more and followed Mo Shouchen outside. But just as they reached the door, “Liu Lei” suddenly asked, “Where’s your jacket?”
“It’s stained with blood,” Mo Shouchen replied irritably. ”That jacket was old, and I didn’t want it anymore, so I threw it away.”
He had already decided that if “Liu Lei” asked where he threw the jacket, he would fight him. Who could stand such endless questioning!
Fortunately, “Liu Lei” didn’t continue questioning, so Mo Shouchen didn’t have to test his luck by throwing hands.
The two left the bathroom and walked through the corridor back to their room.
Once inside, Mo Shouchen rushed into the bathroom. He locked the door from the inside and leaned against it, panting heavily. He felt his legs trembling uncontrollably.
The series of frights tonight hadn’t given him a chance to catch his breath. He was beginning to feel exhausted.
Just when he thought he could finally catch his breath, the bathroom doorknob turned a few times, and “Liu Lei” banged on the door. “What are you doing? Why is the door locked? Open it! I need to use the toilet!”
Mo Shouchun inwardly groaned, Can’t I even breathe?!
He quickly turned on the tap, washed the blood off his face, grabbed a towel, and, while drying his face, opened the bathroom door.
“Liu Lei” glanced at him. “Why do you seem so sneaky today? Locking the door just to wash your face?”
Hearing “Liu Lei” ask this, Mo Shouchun almost peed his pants in fright. He suppressed his fear, and after mustering his courage, deliberately bumped “Liu Lei” with his shoulder playfully.
“You’re the one sneaking around! Hurry up and go to the toilet!”
Mo Shouchun knew his smile was definitely forced, but thankfully the towel hid it, so he shouldn’t be able to tell.
Sure enough, “Liu Lei” didn’t notice anything amiss. He just cursed and went to the toilet.
After leaving the bathroom, Mo Shouchen casually turned off the lights in the room, leaving only a nightlight on. The dim environment gave him a slight sense of security.
He got into bed without taking off his shoes. It was done so he could escape quickly if danger arose.
“Why did you turn off all the lights?”
“I left a nightlight on for you. I can’t sleep if it’s too bright.”
“So fussy!” “Liu Lei” muttered as he walked to the bed and plopped down on Mo Shouchen. “Why are you sleeping in my bed?!”
Mo Shouchen was stunned. When he entered the room, he went straight into the bathroom and didn’t notice which bed “Liu Lei” was sleeping in. So, after coming out, he naturally lay down on the bed he slept in in the real world.
Little did he know that in this other world, this bed wasn’t his…
He suddenly felt a tightness in his throat, and his head buzzed. He quickly made up an excuse.
“My head hurts a bit. I think I’ve caught a cold. That bed is by the window, and I can feel a cool breeze sneaking in. Let me sleep in your bed tonight.”
“So much trouble!”
Perhaps because he was too tired, “Liu Lei” only complained and got up to lie down on the other bed.
Mo Shouchun secretly breathed a sigh of relief. His clothes were already soaked with sweat, but even so, he didn’t dare to lift the covers. Only by wrapping himself in the covers could he slightly alleviate his fear.
In fact, he was very familiar with this situation. Just an hour ago he was similarly huddled under the cover with an extremely terrifying “Liu Lei” lying on the bed next to him.
But there was one thing Mo Shouchun couldn’t understand. This was another world, so anything strange could be explained, but what about the “Liu Lei” he had encountered in the real world?
Although he had many questions, the current situation clearly wasn’t suitable for digging into the details.
Mo Shouchen took out his phone to check the time, only to find a new WeChat message. He hadn’t noticed it because his phone was on silent mode.
[Liu Lei: Where did you go?]
Seeing this message, Mo Shouchen was incredibly excited.
After not receiving a reply earlier, he assumed Liu Lei had perished. His only motivation was the belief that he needed to see him alive or dead.
But now, receiving a message from Liu Lei meant he was still alive. If he could find a way to reunite with him, they could leave this terrible world!
Mo Shouchen quickly replied to Liu Lei, saying he was already in another world and would meet him in the public restroom on the 10th floor.
He received a reply soon after, but strangely enough, Liu Lei had sent a drooling emoji in return.
What did that mean?
Oh well, let’s meet up first.
Mo Shouchen gently lifted the blanket a crack, wanting to see if “Liu Lei” on the other bed was asleep. But when he looked out through the gap in the blanket,
He was shocked to find that there was a person standing in front of his bed in the darkness!
