I’m Trapped in a Cube - Chapter 92
A few minutes earlier.
After reaching the center of the stone sphere, as the surrounding ripples spread, Mo Ling found himself plunged into a vast emptiness of darkness.
Then, with a flash of light, he was already at the edge of an unknown mineral vein in the Needle Stone Forest, his body radiating dazzling ripples.
But Mo Ling could sense that this place was not real,a strong, shoddy sense of artificiality filled the surroundings, and he could easily leave at any time.
“Kill all your enemies.” A deep voice suddenly sounded in Mo Ling’s mind.
Only then did Mo Ling realize that the area was already full of battling mineral tribes, and the light on his body gradually faded, revealing green, stone-textured skin.
“Your tribe for this war is,Olivine Tribe.”
“Hm?”
While Mo Ling was still confused about what was happening, an enemy approached-also a newly born Olivine Tribe member.
“What was this situation?”
Mo Ling was still puzzled as to why mineral tribes of the same type would attack each other, when his “comrade” had already turned all four hands into blades, slashing at him.
Seeing those blades about to strike, Mo Ling instinctively used teleportation on his “comrade,” and the fierce attacker vanished instantly.
Then Mo Ling suddenly sensed a dead Olivine body inside his cube.
Yet outside the cube, the battlefield of slaughter remained.
But Mo Ling couldn’t see where the cube was from the outside-he could only sense the space inside.
With a thought, the Olivine comrade’s corpse was tossed back outside.
Puzzled, he felt a surge of power from the corpse, causing his Olivine body to swell, grow taller, and become much stronger.
“Kill all your enemies.” That deep voice echoed again.
Ignoring the voice, Mo Ling simply wandered the battlefield.
Here, all the mineral tribes were fighting madly, most of them Olivine Tribe.
When an Olivine Tribe member finally defeated an enemy, his body would transform from a frail newborn into a burly warrior.
He looked around, then charged and smashed a nearby weak mineral tribe member into pieces, growing even stronger.
Scanning the surroundings again, this warrior locked eyes with Mo Ling and instantly charged.
His four hands joined together, forming a giant lance aimed straight at Mo Ling.
But before he could reach Mo Ling, he vanished, his lance dropping to the ground.
Soon after, another corpse was tossed out by Mo Ling.
That powerful surge of strength hit Mo Ling’s body again.
But Mo Ling just found it odd.
“This feeling… it’s easy to get addicted to.”
Watching the surrounding mineral tribes, they were lost and confused at birth, but after a single battle, they instantly turned bloodthirsty.
They immediately dove into the next battle.
Before long, only a few powerful Olivine Tribe members remained, all glaring viciously at Mo Ling.
Because at this moment, Mo Ling was the weakest survivor, whoever killed him would surpass the others.
In an instant, all the strong Olivine Tribe members charged at Mo Ling.
And then, one by one, they were killed by teleportation. Soon, the ground was littered with shattered gems, and Mo Ling stood among them, bewildered.
That familiar surge of power hit again, this time even more intense, filling his mind with a wild desire to fight.
“Kill all your enemies.” The voice echoed in his ears.
Then, new words entered Mo Ling’s mind.
“Internal tribe struggle victorious. Needle Stone Forest war unlocked.”
A map of the Needle Stone Forest suddenly appeared in Mo Ling’s mind, shrouded in black mist except for the area he was in, which was lit up.
A few characters were marked on it: “Olivine Vein.”
What did they want him to do?
Mo Ling picked a direction and walked out; the mist on the map cleared, growing brighter.
“Is this for me to open up the map?”
Before long, a new mineral vein appeared on the map. Before he could look closely, a fierce blue mineral tribe member attacked.
This blue mineral tribe member was covered in spikes and very muscular, clearly a battle-hardened fighter. After charging, he was teleported into the cube by Mo Ling.
That addictive surge of power hit again, and the voice urged Mo Ling to destroy the blue mineral tribe’s vein.
Sure enough, after destroying the “Iolite Vein ” on the map, the label vanished, and his power increased further.
Mo Ling kept following the map, clearing the entire Needle Stone Forest of mineral tribes, until only the original Olivine Vein was left.
His body reached a terrifying level of strength; with a casual punch, he could easily smash through stone walls.
His control over olivine became monstrous, with vast range and regeneration.
The nearly invincible feeling was intoxicating.
“And then?”
Mo Ling stood there, not knowing what to do next.
While he was lost, the whole Needle Stone Forest suddenly began to shake, the caves collapsing. Mo Ling quickly used olivine to protect himself and escaped to the surface.
Controlling olivine to lift himself into the sky, Mo Ling watched as the entire Needle Stone Forest caved in, a massive hollow appearing in the center.
Then, giant hands gripped the edge of the cave and pulled up.
With a push, a colossal creature leapt onto the surface.
Its whole body was made of multicolored stones, forming dazzling, unknown shapes, with countless arms waving.
It was the giant mineral tribe from the carvings!
Not only that, Mo Ling finally saw what was floating around the giant mineral tribe.
They were all sorts of strange objects.
So, the mottled patterns around the giant mineral tribe in the carvings were various items-no wonder the proportions seemed so odd.
Those objects floated around the giant mineral tribe, as if some force kept them nearby.
And among them, Mo Ling spotted something incredibly familiar.
A red headscarf!
He quickly checked inside the cube and saw the red headscarf he’d stored was still lying quietly on the metal floor.
Looking closely at the red headscarf floating beside the giant mineral tribe-it was identical.
Not only that, among the floating objects, Mo Ling saw a pair of gloves-the very Midas Touch that Li Luo had shown.
At this point, Mo Ling had a bold guess.
Were all these objects?
Just as Mo Ling was shocked, the giant mineral tribe noticed him, its cold gaze fixed on him.
Then, the familiar deep voice came from the giant mineral tribe’s mouth, the same voice that had been droning on all along.
But this time, the voice was no longer emotionless as it had been when guiding Mo Ling.
“Don’t make trouble.”
The voice was full of exhaustion.
As soon as it finished speaking, the giant eyes shot out a strange rainbow, colored beam, hitting Mo Ling and instantly sending him back into darkness.
When he came to, he was back at the center of the familiar stone sphere.
