Li Luo’s records were very detailed, but there was one thing she missed.

In Mo Ling’s perception, deep in the Oscillation Beast’s flesh, there was a long, thin red worm.

The worm’s body was as thin as hair, wriggling through the Oscillation Beast’s flesh.

With every pulse of the flesh, the red worm squeezed deeper.

Its head’s fangs gnawed constantly at the flesh, which kept healing.

Was this healing ability also brought by the red worm?

Mo Ling couldn’t tell if the red worm was a native parasite or the cause of the Oscillation Beast’s anomaly.

He couldn’t operate the electronic screen and couldn’t look up information on the worm.

“I have to find a way to alert Li Luo.”

The chunk of flesh Mo Ling had separated was exactly where the worm was.

Anything Mo Ling teleported would die instantly.

The chunk of flesh containing the worm’s corpse was left in plain sight, but Li Luo didn’t notice.

The flesh slime was just too eye-catching-even Mo Ling was distracted by it.

The red worm was so tiny and similar in color to the flesh.

Without special perception, even Mo Ling barely noticed it.

Let alone Li Luo, who was still in the dark.

“How could he make Li Luo notice something so small?”

Just as he was thinking, another Oscillation Beast appeared in Mo Ling’s field of view.

Looking deeper, Mo Ling found the familiar red worm in this one’s flesh too.

This Oscillation Beast was also unusually sensitive, turning and charging at Li Luo.

Perfect-Mo Ling decided to try a new tactic.

He targeted the upper legs of the Oscillation Beast and activated teleportation.

Smooth cuts appeared at the base of both legs, slicing the slender Oscillation Beast in half.

The spherical metal mesh, now unsupported, flew out and rolled to Li Luo’s feet.

Like the first, the Oscillation Beast’s flesh ball, even without hope, kept thrashing on the ground.

If not for the metal mesh, the flesh would have already leapt out to attack.

Mo Ling tossed an empty can onto the cube.

The clang drew Li Luo’s attention.

He shrank the teleport frame as much as possible, targeting the area in the flesh with the red worm.

When Li Luo looked at the can on the cube, a cube of flesh the size of a bottle cap appeared inside.

“She should notice now!”

Sure enough, Li Luo’s attention fixed on the can.

Mo Ling focused on the chunk of flesh in the can and began a more delicate operation.

He cut along the worm’s edge, carving out a long strip.

Perfect!

Now, only a long piece of flesh remained in the can, with a red thread clearly visible.

It was the dead worm.

Seeing the change, Li Luo’s eyes lit up.

She pointed her recorder at the can, took out tweezers and gloves from the car, and carefully extracted the red worm, storing it in a transparent box.

After finishing, Li Luo gave the cube a long look, as if she could see through to Mo Ling inside.

But Mo Ling wasn’t worried.

He knew such precise actions would make Li Luo suspicious.

But this was also his chance to escape the cube.

Li Luo didn’t seem to find anything strange.

She took off her gloves and gently patted the cube.

“Not bad. What else do you want to eat?” Li Luo asked, as if she really wanted to communicate with the cube.

Crap, wrong direction!

Mo Ling quickly played dead, not responding.

Even when Li Luo brought out food, he didn’t pick any.

Seeing the food untouched, Li Luo looked disappointed.

She took out her electronic screen, didn’t record the red worm first, but opened another notebook.

“Things Iron Cube doesn’t like to eat: wasabi crackers, herring-flavored chips, canned sweet and sour pig brain, Sichuan pepper QQ candy, snail shell powder, crispy chicken beaks, Red Bull rice cakes…”

Li Luo wrote down all the foods she’d just put on the cube.

Only then did she start looking up information on the red worm.

Seeing the notebook, Mo Ling’s mind froze.

“Should I be touched?”

……

As Li Luo searched,

Information on the red worm appeared on the screen-

Red Rope Worm.

During the Cataclysm, people first discovered this creature on Earth.

At that time, it crawled out of the Abyss, parasitizing a sheep that kept trying to escape its pen.

It even bashed its head bloody.

The farmer, noticing something was wrong, thought it was sick and tried to kill it.

But when the knife fell, the sheep’s wound slowly healed.

The frightened farmer called the police.

The Cataclysm was already beginning, and this zombie-like immortal creature caused great panic.

The army surrounded the farm, cleared out the other sheep, and captured this one.

During research, they found the worm in the sheep’s brain.

The worm controlled the sheep, making it move in a single direction.

When killed, the worm gave the sheep the ability to heal.

Researchers burned it, and the sheep gradually adapted to fire, no longer fearing heat.

Confined in the lab, the sheep grew stronger, one day even breaking out of its steel cage.

When deprived of food, the worm made the sheep start photosynthesizing.

The sheep evolved.

If it couldn’t go where it wanted, the sheep would keep evolving until nothing could stop it.

Attempts to remove the worm failed-after removal, another worm appeared in the sheep’s brain.

The worm was healed by the sheep.

Finally, the lab decided-let the sheep go.

They wanted to see where it would go.

The sheep was released on New Zealand’s North Island.

As soon as it was free, it walked straight to the sea.

It jumped off a cliff, nearly dying.

After healing, it started swimming across the Pacific, heading northeast.

After drowning, it learned to swim, its body becoming more dolphin-like.

At first, it swam slowly, swept by the South Equatorial Current to the Solomon Islands.

It kept swimming, and halfway across was swept by the North Equatorial and Japan Currents to Japan.

It swam faster and faster, fins growing on its legs, crossed the Bering Strait, and entered Canada from Alaska.

Then it entered the Arctic Circle, came to Greenland via Baffin Bay.

Along the way, it was hunted by predators, but always healed, feeding the predators before leaving.

It reached northern Greenland, in the ice-covered waters.

Amidst the endless snow, it found a polar bear.

Then it rode the bear.
