After dividing an object infinitely, the smallest unit is an elementary particle.

This is what Martin called the “foundation” .

When Mo Ling learned this, he could no longer suppress the shock in his heart.

“Could it be that our world was created?” Mo Ling suddenly had this thought.

“What is the thing that forms the foundation of our world?” he asked impatiently.

Hearing this, Martin, who had been serious, suddenly burst out laughing, waving his finger and teasing, “Why don’t you guess?”

He laughed as he walked ahead, but his words stuck in Mo Ling’s mind like a nail, forcing him to keep pondering.

“Could what he said be true?”

If sound can form a world, then other things can certainly form a world as well.

“What exactly is my world made of? Was the world I came from before the Abyss also made from something else?”

The more Mo Ling thought about it, the more uneasy he became, growing ever more suspicious.

At this moment, a shout from ahead interrupted Mo Ling’s thoughts-Martin was urging him to catch up, and Mo Ling hurried after.

Once Mo Ling caught up, Martin said to him in a low, serious, and slightly weary tone, “I’ll tell you after we kill the Core, but you have to keep questioning everything.”

Before Mo Ling could ask more, Martin raised his hand to interrupt, pointing ahead. “See that? That’s the Core’s shell.”

Mo Ling looked forward and saw a towering spire reaching into the sky.

A familiar shape, even the small towers around it were exactly the same.

“That’s the Black Tower!” Mo Ling exclaimed.

But this tower wasn’t black-it was a deep purple, radiating a dazzling violet light.

Other than the color, this tower was identical to the Black Tower.

Not only that, this purple tower was constantly emitting all kinds of sounds, like a giant pipe organ.

The small towers around it were like the various pipes of the organ, and the massive stones supporting the tower body were like the organ’s case.

What surprised Mo Ling most was that this purple tower was moving!

The organ-shaped pipes gently vibrated, powerful air currents driving notes out of the holes, drifting into the distance.

The drifting notes landed throughout the island’s jungle-some became animals, some became trees, some became earth, some became ponds…

This was the organ that created the world!

A rune drifted on the sound and spun down to the ground in front of the two.

The rune then expanded into a human, but this human, like the animals before, was lifeless, like a puppet.

“Don’t go any further. Leave,” the strange human said.

He made a strange gesture, pointing behind the two, then stiffly lowered his arm.

He kept repeating this gesture, every movement exactly the same.

“Are you the Core?” Mo Ling asked.

“Yes.” He still answered every question.

But this seemed to be his first time initiating conversation-his goal was to get Mo Ling and Martin to leave.

“If you stop the distortion, we’ll leave.” Mo Ling didn’t know how to leave, but still tried to negotiate.

“It’s not distortion, it’s correction. Once correction is complete, she’ll come back to find me,” the Core repeated his answer once again.

It seemed there was still no way to reach an agreement.

“Don’t waste time talking to him, hold on to me,” Martin suddenly grabbed Mo Ling’s hand.

Immediately, Mo Ling found the scene around him blurring-they passed right through the human’s body and arrived at the front of the tower.

“To find his true body might take a while. Don’t let go,” Martin instructed, then continued to lead Mo Ling through.

Passing through a hole, the two entered the tower.

What they saw stunned Mo Ling even more.

This was the Monitoring Station! The Core had recreated a Black Tower Monitoring Station inside its true body.

The buildings and facilities were exactly the same, even the layout was identical.

Not only that, there were humans in combat suits living inside. These people moved through the station like puppets, their actions stiff and mechanical, each with a fixed route and movement.

There were also “people” stuck in place, wedged between buildings, or with half their bodies fallen into sewers, still walking endlessly along the edge.

They were expressionless, but the texture of their flesh constantly reminded Mo Ling that these “dolls” were structurally indistinguishable from real people.

When they noticed Mo Ling and Martin, these fake humans marched straight toward them, blocking them in.

Even their walking motions were identical-these cookie-cutter humans stared at the two, reaching out to grab them.

“Wait a moment, I’m looking for the spot. If they get close, just kill them,” Martin said calmly.

Mo Ling nodded, watching the ever-approaching fake humans with vigilance.

“So disgusting.” The bizarre actions of these “dolls” made Mo Ling’s stomach churn, and he couldn’t help but mutter.

Unexpectedly, upon hearing Mo Ling’s words, all the fake humans stopped moving.

In unison, they asked, “Disgusting? Why disgusting? Can you tell us?”

Mo Ling didn’t want to explain, just silently waited for Martin.

It seemed the Core was controlling these humans, as they again spoke in unison, “She said the same about me. She said the world I created was disgusting, said the humans I created were disgusting.”

“She said I was disgusting too.”

“……”

“Why?”

Without answering the Core, Martin gripped Mo Ling’s hand, jumped upward, and the scene blurred again, shifting to a structure resembling a heart valve, colored purple.

“Looks like the position changes just like the stone door,” Martin said flatly.

“This is the stone door?”

“Yes, this is the entrance to the tower’s heart. In the Black Tower, it’s represented as the stone door. Its position shifts randomly as a protective measure.”

So that’s how it was.

There was also a tray in front of this valve, but Martin didn’t intend to put anything on it. Instead, he grabbed Mo Ling and passed directly through to the other side.

As soon as they landed, Mo Ling felt something off beneath his feet.

Looking down, he saw the ground was made up of countless Relics , and ahead was a towering mountain of Relics.

This was the treasure vault!

So the treasure vault had always existed, just transferred to this world, the legend of the stone door was true!

“We’re almost there.”

Martin led Mo Ling onward, soon arriving at a hidden cave made of purple crystal.

A hideous, pitted black-gray stone floated in the air.

When the two approached, the stone slowly drifted toward them.

A rough grinding sound came from the stone.

“Why did she say I’m disgusting?”
