Martin stared at the female tycoon in disbelief.

Most of the wrinkles on her face had disappeared, her skin had become exceptionally smooth and supple, and those dull spots had completely vanished.

Even the dark circles under her eyes, caused by years of exhaustion, were gone, replaced by slightly charming eye bags.

“Mr. Martin, are you testing the results of my surgery?” The female tycoon felt Martin’s hand lingering on her cheek and teased him.

But Martin ignored her words, instead moving to her side and lifting her hair with his hand.

The hair that had previously turned white was gone, replaced entirely by a brown color similar to Anna’s, and even the original blonde roots were slowly turning brown.

“This brown really looks nice. I’ve always wanted to try this color,” the female tycoon said with a smile.

Martin forced himself to suppress his shock and asked, “What about your white hair?”

“It all fell out the day after the surgery. I was worried at first, but then, after another day, it grew back, and it was all brown. The effect is really great, isn’t it?”

The more the female tycoon spoke, the happier she became. She began to enthusiastically recount all the changes she’d experienced over the past few days, marveling at the wonders of Blood Replacement Therapy.

As she spoke, she grabbed Martin’s hand again and whispered, “Mr. Martin, I’ve been feeling a bit empty these past two days. Is that normal?”

She gazed at Martin with deep affection, her body slowly leaning closer, her smooth nightgown pressing against Martin’s coat.

“The surgery just ended, madam, you need to rest. This means you’re recovering well,” Martin said, carefully pushing her away.

“I’ll come by in a few days to check on you. Please focus on recuperating.”

After a few words of advice, Martin hurriedly escaped from the female tycoon’s room. He quickly responded to the greetings of the other celebrities and then fled back to his office.

Only after closing the door did he lose control and start trembling.

With shaking hands, Martin lit a cigarette and sat in his chair, his mind in chaos.

“Blood Replacement Therapy… actually worked?”

He simply couldn’t comprehend what was happening.

Martin knew exactly how much of a scam his so-called “high-tech therapy” was, and nothing like this had ever happened before.

He might be a conman, but he never believed in his own therapy.

Yet the changes in Anna and the female tycoon couldn’t be explained by common sense.

After thinking for a long time, Martin still couldn’t come up with a reasonable explanation.

He could only force himself to suppress his anxiety, comforting himself that it might just be a coincidence.

“Maybe it really is just because of the sanatorium’s food and routine.”

“But what about Anna?”

As he was struggling with this, a subordinate knocked on Martin’s door.

“Boss, there’s a new client.”

“Alright.”

……

Martin tried his best not to think about it. After all, it was all a scam, and if the results were a bit better, it was just icing on the cake.

But that evening, he still went to the laboratory himself.

When the security guard saw him, he was stunned for a moment, then quickly straightened up and greeted him, “Mr. Martin! Is there anything I can help with?”

“It’s nothing. I’m just doing an experiment.”

Martin replied casually and walked into the laboratory.

It hadn’t been used in a long time. In the past, it was used to show various mice to clients and sell them on dreams.

But as the reputation of Blood Replacement Therapy grew, there was no need to bring clients here anymore, though the lab was still kept running just in case.

Martin went in, found two mice, and began a blood transfusion operation.

After the operation, he sat to the side and waited to see if the mice would change.

Sure enough, apart from being a bit weak, the mice showed no unusual reactions.

Martin immediately felt he was being ridiculous. He’d done this experiment countless times, and the results were always the same.

“What am I doing?” he cursed himself inwardly.

He picked up his things and prepared to leave, but just as he stood up, he saw something appear on the white mouse.

It was a patch of rapidly growing black fur.

That’s right-Martin had chosen one black and one white mouse, just to see if their fur colors would swap.

And now, just as he’d guessed.

He stared in shock as the white fur on the white mouse kept falling out, replaced by fine black fur that spread like ink.

And this change seemed extremely intense. In the blink of an eye, the white mouse had turned completely black.

Looking at the original black mouse, it was now covered in white fur.

“They really swapped!” Martin stood dumbfounded in the lab, unable to calm down for a long time. In that instant, his entire medical worldview was shaken.

After he calmed down a bit, he repeated the experiment several more times, always getting similar results.

But he also discovered something else-blood replacement could only be done once.

After one transfusion, if he repeated the experiment, neither mouse would show any reaction.

“It shouldn’t just be the fur.”

Thinking of the changes in Anna and the female tycoon, Martin started experimenting again.

He found an old mouse in the lab and performed a blood transfusion with a young mouse.

As expected, the old mouse quickly became lively, while the young mouse seemed to have its time stolen, rapidly aging.

Martin couldn’t believe his eyes.

This was real Blood Replacement Therapy! The “scam” he’d been bragging about had actually come true!

At this moment, Martin didn’t know whether to be happy or disappointed. He clutched his pounding heart, an unknown fear spreading through his body.

Just then, another thought struck him, and he began another operation.

This time, he used mice with different blood types.

After the surgery, he quietly waited for the hemolytic reaction from the blood type mismatch.

But after the transfusion, the two mice remained lively, and after a while, their fur colors swapped again.

No hemolytic reaction!

“This isn’t right. It shouldn’t be like this.”

Martin glanced at a hamster cage nearby, an audacious idea forming in his mind.

After a while, he stared blankly at the two animals on the lab table, unable to stop himself from retreating backward.

There was a hamster that had turned into a mouse.

And a mouse that had turned into a hamster.

“How can this be! How can this be!”

Martin gritted his teeth, rushed to the blood bank, grabbed a bag of human blood for experiments, and injected it into a mouse, then used a syringe to drain the mouse’s original blood.

By now, he was like a madman, his eyes bloodshot, his hands shaking uncontrollably as he worked.

The operation ended quickly.

Martin crouched in front of the glass box, staring intently at the mouse, now barely alive due to his rough handling.

The mouse curled up, like a newborn baby.

Its eyes shifted to the front of its face, its forehead slowly protruded, its head enlarged, its ears shrank, and its limbs lengthened.

After a while, Martin seemed to see something, immediately lifted the glass box, reached in, grabbed the mouse, and squeezed hard.

Flesh and blood flew everywhere.

The remains splattered against the glass box, blood covering his hands.

Martin panted heavily, his eyes vacant, endless shock echoing in his mind.

He leaned back and collapsed into his chair, but because he couldn’t support himself, he fell hard to the floor.

At this moment, dawn was just breaking, a gentle ray of sunlight shining into the laboratory.

But Martin sat on the floor in a sorry state, his hands covered in filthy blood.
