I’m Trapped in a Cube - Chapter 108
“I think it’s fine, but who is the Fire Thief ?” Mo Ling didn’t react for a moment.
Hearing this question, the Ancient Mineral Tribe’s gaze gradually cleared, and he slowly withdrew the hand resting on Mo Ling’s shoulder.
“Oh, that was my former companion. I mistook you for him,” the Ancient Mineral Tribe said, a bit disappointed.
Mo Ling nodded and softly responded.
The two sat on the stone, both gazing at the sky, silent and deep in thought.
“My condition isn’t great, I’m a bit sleepy,” the Ancient Mineral Tribe suddenly said to Mo Ling, his words carrying a deeper meaning.
“All right, then goodbye.”
“Goodbye.”
With this farewell, the entire battlefield began to collapse. Countless stone pillars toppled downward, the earth split and caved in, and dust filled the sky.
But the stone they sat on remained unmoved, untouched by the chaos until everything around them returned to darkness.
The stone floated alone in the black void.
“The incentive signal has also fulfilled its purpose,” the Ancient Mineral Tribe said calmly.
He looked at Mo Ling, as if pondering something.
Finally, as if he couldn’t hold back, he gave Mo Ling a big hug.
“When you leave the Needle Stone Forest , I’ll come see you off myself.”
As soon as he finished speaking, the Ancient Mineral Tribe’s gray body and the last stone, like the battlefield before, slowly crumbled into dust.
Inside the cube, Mo Ling reached forward to hug, but there was only emptiness before him.
The red headscarf ) lay quietly on the metal floor, as if nothing had ever happened.
Mo Ling slowly floated out of the stone sphere , only to find Li Luo waiting for him at the entrance.
“Ci Xing said you floated over here. Did you find anything?” she asked, glancing into the stone sphere.
“Nothing,” Mo Ling wrote on the electronic screen, transmitted it to the cube, and after Li Luo read it, withdrew the message.
Back on the ground, Mo Ling found the villagers were still repairing things, but everyone was excited.
Ci Xing’s figure was among them, with Tie Yu following behind, working while asking all sorts of strange questions:
“If you build a channel out of magnetite and put a box in the middle, could I sit in the box and travel from one end to the other?”
“If you launch a Magnetite Tribe member and then use the Vein Mutation Disease to turn him into a Natural Gas Tribe member midair, will his speed increase or decrease?”
“When my house is rebuilt, can you add a magnetite base so it floats in the air and doesn’t fear earthquakes?”
“I could also add a ruby launcher to my house, keep firing rubies backward, and push the house forward. Should we try that?”
“Can you guess what I’m thinking?”
“……”
These questions were so odd that Ci Xing could only answer half-heartedly, sometimes stopping to ponder Tie Yu’s words.
“I think the magnetite base idea is feasible,” Ci Xing answered seriously.
“Yay!”
Tie Yu cheered and started discussing the technical details with Ci Xing.
These two are really something, Mo Ling thought.
In the distance, Shi Beng was surrounded by villagers, excitedly asking questions, but the petite mineral tribe member stood angrily in front, blocking them.
“You’ll scare him!” the petite mineral tribe member shouted, angrily pushing the villagers away, glancing at Shi Beng with concern.
But Shi Beng wasn’t scared. He just stretched out his hand, constantly changing the material of his arm, and the stone armor on his body began to display multicolored patterns.
Apparently, he found this too slow, so he grew two more arms from his ribs.
These two arms quickly transformed into two other materials. Shi Beng brought his arms together, making a resonant sound of metal and stone.
He opened his palm and began to create various minerals on it.
Then, he looked at the ground, light flowing across his stone armor, and a thin rainbow beam shot from his face, burning a deep hole in the ground.
The petite mineral tribe member saw this and asked in shock, “You learned it?”
Shi Beng raised his arm, looked at the material, and answered seriously, “I learned it. Material transformation, it’s simple.”
But the petite mineral tribe member was concerned about something else.
“The bracelet I made for you is gone. Where did you lose it?” she asked, looking at Shi Beng’s wrist.
“It was smashed,” Shi Beng said calmly, not caring at all.
Hearing this, the petite mineral tribe member got even more anxious, her eyes wide, and her words stuttered.
“Y-you have to be careful next time!” she said through gritted teeth, but that was all she could manage.
However, Shi Beng put his hand to his chest, and the thick stone armor opened, revealing a small compartment inside.
He reached in and took something out.
It was a few broken pieces of jade, still faintly in the shape of a bracelet.
Shi Beng placed the jade pieces in his hand and began to repair them. Under the petite mineral tribe member’s astonished gaze, he pieced them together.
When only two pieces were left, he snapped them together and wiped his hand over them. The bracelet was once again perfectly whole on his wrist.
No trace of any cracks-it looked brand new.
“It’s fine now,” Shi Beng raised his wrist and showed it to the petite mineral tribe member.
“You didn’t have to do that. I could just make you another one,” she said, her gaze shifting between Shi Beng’s chest and hand, lowering her head, her face full of shyness.
She started chattering to Shi Beng about what had just happened. The tall Shi Beng stood by her side, who knows if he was listening.
……
Outside the Needle Stone Forest, on a distant hill, Li Luo waved goodbye to Shi Beng.
She curiously asked, “What are you going to do next?”
Shi Beng thought for a moment and answered, “I’ll stay in Neon Village and keep searching for fear.”
“You’re still afraid of the Vein Mutation Disease?” Li Luo was puzzled.
Shi Beng shook his head. “No, I sense a great power hidden in the Needle Stone Forest. I plan to accept the Vein Mutation Disease to face that power.”
“But I’ll wait until I fully master fear, then gradually master the other emotions. I think those emotions have the same effect.”
Shi Beng shared his unique insight.
Mo Ling was shocked-Shi Beng really was a genius.
With just a little guidance, he could quickly master abilities and use them skillfully. Maybe the Ancient Mineral Tribe saw his potential too.
But what was the great power Shi Beng mentioned?
As Mo Ling pondered, he suddenly felt someone tap the cube.
He instinctively turned, only to find himself back in darkness.
“Again?”
