After destroying the first batch of descendants with a great earthquake, the Ancient Mineral Tribe  began creating the second batch of descendants.

He once again sought advice from the Purple Gauze Creature , but when the Purple Gauze Creature learned that he had already destroyed the first batch of descendants, it was very regretful.

“I rather liked them. If they had continued to develop, perhaps a truly brilliant civilization could have emerged,” said the Purple Gauze Creature with regret.

The Ancient Mineral Tribe explained that he didn’t have much time left, and such descendants would not be able to survive in the Abyss  after his death, they would soon be buried by the Disorderly Dunes.

By then, the so-called eternity brought by group reproduction would not exist at all.

After hearing the Ancient Mineral Tribe’s story, the Purple Gauze Creature told him to minimize guidance for his descendants, let them face the Abyss themselves, and not set the bar too high.

With the lesson of the first batch, the Ancient Mineral Tribe fully agreed. He realized that helping his descendants too often led to them always seeking his help at the first sign of trouble, never having a chance to grow.

So, he learned his lesson, created the second batch of descendants, and after injecting them with emotion and knowledge, hid himself away.

This time, he decided to watch this batch’s development silently, no longer acting as a “parent” to control them.

He let this group of newly born descendants fend for themselves in the Abyss.

However, without his help, these mineral tribes were like headless flies-they had knowledge but no experience. When confronted by enemies, all they could do was run and hide.

Before long, only a small portion of the second batch remained.

But at this point, the Ancient Mineral Tribe was gratified to see that some descendants had started to strengthen themselves and confront the perils of the Abyss.

They began to use collective strength to create a gathering point within the Disorderly Dunes.

These descendants helped each other, and their civilization flourished more and more.

At this, the Ancient Mineral Tribe’s face again showed helplessness.

“But they failed.”

This batch of descendants was simply too weak, unable to meet the Ancient Mineral Tribe’s requirements, and were ultimately destroyed by external threats, unable to resist at all.

They didn’t even know how to use the abilities the Ancient Mineral Tribe had given them.

“They couldn’t control materials, nor use emotions-,ust a bunch of brutes relying on raw strength, no different from beasts.”

The Ancient Mineral Tribe never stepped in to help this batch, just watched as a spectator as they went extinct.

After this batch was wiped out, the Ancient Mineral Tribe realized that strength was the foundation of survival, so he began creating the third batch of descendants.

This time, he let them directly master the ability to change materials and use emotions, which made this batch extremely powerful.

Though they fought everywhere and stirred up trouble, the Ancient Mineral Tribe was delighted, that was the mark of strength.

He even secretly helped this batch deal with some potential crises.

However, this only made the descendants more arrogant.

Having never earned their power, but simply receiving it, they didn’t cherish it at all.

They all felt it was only natural, something they deserved by birth, so they never tried to develop deeper abilities.

They even became complacent, inventing ideas to explain their power, and limited their own development within a cage.

At this point, civilization became a constraint on individual power.

The result was that their strength gradually faded, and their use of their abilities became bound by convention.

So, the power of this batch of descendants gradually declined, and after a while, they were no longer as strong as at first.

The creatures they had conquered began to rise up in resistance, and the descendants were beaten back again and again.

Only then did the Ancient Mineral Tribe realize that giving power directly only led to its being wasted and the descendants’ eventual destruction.

He felt this batch was ruined; a civilization that didn’t know how to develop would only perish in the Abyss.

So, he once again used a great earthquake to destroy this batch of descendants.

At this point, the Ancient Mineral Tribe fell silent for a moment, his face full of sorrow.

“You were too hasty, you didn’t give them time,” Mo Ling said after thinking.

The Ancient Mineral Tribe shook his head. “I had to hurry. I’m dying.”

Hearing this, Mo Ling had nothing to say.

He understood well, now the Ancient Mineral Tribe was like a dying billionaire, always thinking about how to keep his business empire going, so he wouldn’t give his heirs much time or opportunity.

“What happened next?” Mo Ling asked curiously.

The Ancient Mineral Tribe continued.

When creating the fourth batch of descendants, he decided to let them slowly master power on their own.

But by then, he was already highly skilled at using emotional power, so on a whim, he started modifying the emotional ratios given by the Purple Gauze Creature.

“I decided to create a batch of descendants with perfect personalities!”

He kept increasing positive emotions, and weakened negative ones as much as possible without affecting daily life.

Thus, a group of descendants with extremely perfect personalities was born.

They were bursting with curiosity, constantly acquiring knowledge, strict with themselves, and always developing their internal powers.

They faced the dangers of the Abyss with courage, but weren’t reckless, always considering situations wisely.

This batch of descendants established civilization again, but unlike before, didn’t become stagnant, instead, they actively developed individual power.

However, just when the Ancient Mineral Tribe thought these were the descendants he wanted, an accident happened.

“Do you know ‘things turn into their opposites when they reach the extreme’ ?” the Ancient Mineral Tribe suddenly asked Mo Ling.

Mo Ling paused, then replied, “Of course. Why?”

“If you optimistically do something, but fail again and again, don’t you start to doubt yourself? Won’t the sense of loss become overwhelming?” the Ancient Mineral Tribe asked seriously.

Mo Ling thought for a moment, then nodded.

The Ancient Mineral Tribe nodded as well, and began to describe what happened to this batch of descendants.

In the Abyss, price is inevitable,if you want something, you must pay a price.

But his descendants always thought they could avoid paying the price, always trying to keep pessimism at bay.

If they wanted to get stronger, they had to practice and fight, but fighting meant sacrifice.

So, when frustrated, they chose not to fight, to avoid sacrifice, optimistically believing there would be other ways to grow stronger.

If they wanted to develop civilization, they had to seek knowledge, explore, and learn the forbidden knowledge hidden in the Abyss.

But forbidden knowledge in the Abyss was full of twisted abilities, so they stopped exploring.

“Since everything is beautiful, why do dangerous things? Just avoid them.”

This batch of descendants started researching art, “optimistically” “going with the flow.”

They were very smart, knowing this might cause civilization to stagnate, but chose to “live in the moment,” and no one would step up to break the dream.

No crisis, enough strength,so they kept singing and dancing.

At that moment, the Ancient Mineral Tribe realized that wanting to create descendants with only positive personalities was itself an attempt to avoid paying the price.
