I was awakened by hunger.

The Duke of course knew this about me, and hadn’t asked me to go there again since then. I was surprised he suddenly brought it up today. After two months, my weapon was finally ready. I had been waiting forever for this.

Lafayette sat down at the dining table and asked the Duke who sat opposite.
