Chapter 5: Physical Feedback is Better

***

On the other side, inside the luxurious sedan.

Bai Ning took several deep breaths. She had originally felt her emotions calm down, but whenever she thought about what happened tonight, her face couldn’t help but flush with a hint of red.

“System, you need to explain to me what this feedback value system is all about, and why Nan Zha would be a villainous supporting character. What exactly is going on with this world?”

Bai Ning’s voice carried a trace of anger.

This damn system could have reminded her from the beginning, but instead it said nothing, waiting until she had done all these stupid things before telling her the truth.

Just thinking about the stupid things she had done made Bai Ning feel somewhat frantic.

Although being the female lead was quite pleasant, she had treated the villainous supporting character this way, and she felt she definitely wouldn’t have an easy time later.

Although both families had similar status, she was just a good-for-nothing waste who lived off others, how could she compare to that career woman powerhouse?

[Host, this has nothing to do with me. I reminded you as soon as I activated. Besides, you were so absorbed at the time, your mouth was even curled up, looking like you were enjoying it. I called but you wouldn’t listen]

“Alright, stop explaining. First tell me what exactly you can do.”

Bai Ning’s small face was flushed red, whether from embarrassment or anger was unclear.

[No problem. The feedback value system’s function is that as long as you can make important characters in the book produce feedback toward you, you can obtain feedback values]

“Feedback?”

Bai Ning listened to the system’s explanation, putting on a thoughtful expression as she recalled the few sentences she heard tonight.

“So you’re saying, as long as I make characters like Nan Zha who have weight in the book produce emotional feedback toward me, that’s fine?”

[Not just emotional feedback, physical feedback works too]

The system’s voice carried a hint of unclear meaning.

This sentence seemed to make Bai Ning think of what happened tonight again, making her small face even redder.

“I think physical feedback isn’t very important. For someone like me, just providing emotional value is enough.”

Although physical feedback gave more, her small frame couldn’t handle it. Bai Ning waved her hands repeatedly in refusal.

While receiving the information provided by the system, Bai Ning’s brows furrowed tightly as she discovered something wasn’t quite right.

This couldn’t be said to be exactly the same as the version she had speculated, it could only be said to be completely unrelated.

Originally she thought this novel was just an ordinary Feng Aotian power fantasy story, but after seeing the information given by the system, she realized she was completely wrong.

She was the female lead of this novel.

But her personality was indeed tsundere, willful, and cunning.

Her personality wasn’t that of a standard romance novel innocent flower female lead, and what made it different from other romance novels was her identity.

She was the young lady of the Bai family, and the Bai family was one of the top wealthy families in Yun City, the kind that could rank nationally.

And Nan Zha was the young lady of the Nan family, a career woman type who was originally a very rational and aloof person. But after meeting Feng Aotian and being saved by her, she fell in love and lost all rationality, directly becoming a love-brained devoted woman who kept doing stupid things and targeting Bai Ning.

Obviously, the fate of a villainous supporting character targeting the female lead was direct family destruction, and Nan Zha didn’t escape this ending either.

The subsequent series of villainous supporting characters all had similar situations, just with different plots. In the end, Bai Ning happily lived together with Feng Aotian.

The ending was rushed, classic, and melodramatic.

There definitely wasn’t just Nan Zha as a villainous supporting character, there were quite a few.

Looking at the familiar names above, the corner of Bai Ning’s mouth twitched slightly.

Being the female lead was good, but what should she do about having provoked most of the villainous supporting characters within a few months?

“What can the feedback values do?”

[Exchange for some skills and some wonderful little items]

Opening the system panel, it displayed her three dimensions and identity information, with feedback values at the bottom.

[Current feedback value: 236]

These feedback values were all provided by Nan Zha’s emotions and physical contact tonight.

Originally she had thought it would be best to have less contact with Nan Zha after tonight’s events, but now it seemed that even if she didn’t contact Nan Zha, she would eventually have to contact other vicious female supporting characters.

Because among the people she knew, there were only those vicious female supporting characters.

She had no idea who Feng Aotian was. Logically, the plot had already begun, but she hadn’t heard the name Jiang Yuexi until now.

Although she didn’t know why the so-called Feng Aotian female protagonist hadn’t appeared yet, it didn’t really matter. What she was thinking about now was how exactly she could escape from Nan Zha.

“But something feels off,” Bai Ning touched her smooth chin, her face showing a thoughtful expression.

According to the script given by the system, this kidnapping plot should have appeared months later, but for some reason it had been moved up.

Moreover, the Nan Zha described in the book was supposed to hate her, this little loli who stole Feng Aotian away, but through what happened tonight, Bai Ning discovered something wasn’t right.

Because from beginning to end, she hadn’t felt Nan Zha show obvious hostility toward her. She even always felt that the way Nan Zha looked at her was strange.

Was it because of the butterfly effect after she transmigrated?

While she was still thinking about what exactly was going on, a voice suddenly came from beside her.

“Young lady, we’ve arrived home.”

Coming back to her senses, she looked at the bodyguard in front of her who was carefully watching her, lowering her head in panic the moment their eyes met.

It was her first day on the job and she had stumbled upon the young lady’s affair, she felt her wonderful new job was about to be ruined.

But Bai Ning didn’t pay attention to the bodyguard’s reaction, opened the door and walked out.

She had received too much information today, and all her plans had been disrupted. Plus, she seemed to still be feeling the effects of the drug, her head still dizzy as she swayed toward the villa.

Returning home, she threw her bag aside as usual, but then Bai Ning realized her bag wasn’t actually on her.

“Oh no, I hope I didn’t leave it at that place.”

Her face changed color. Bai Ning searched through the previous scenes in her mind. If it were anything else it would be fine, but that bag didn’t just contain money, most of her documents were in there too.

“Ring ring ring”

Just as Bai Ning was still thinking about where the bag could be, her phone rang at this moment. Taking the phone out of her pocket and seeing who sent the message, Bai Ning’s face showed a relieved expression.

“What exactly was going on tonight? Why did you suddenly kiss me?”

“Your bag is with me, your documents are all inside.”

“This weekend, accompany me to a banquet. I’ll return your bag then and we can discuss what happened tonight. Oh, by the way, don’t think about not coming. I know where your house is. If you don’t come to me, I can come to you.”

Seeing the last sentence and recalling tonight’s events, this was definitely coming to settle accounts with her!!!

Bai Ning weakly put her phone aside, her face showing a pained expression.

Sigh, can we reconcile?
