Chapter 46: Great, It’s Jiang Xiyue, We’re Doomed

***

Like a fuse being lit, Nan Ziyue’s mocking laughter was so piercing that Nan Zha could no longer suppress the fury in her heart. In an instant, she turned and was right in front of her, grabbing her collar and slamming Nan Ziyue hard against the wall. Veins bulged on her forehead as she gritted her teeth and demanded.

“What did you do!? Where is she?”

“Mmph! Cough—”

Her fingers clamped around Nan Ziyue’s collar like iron pincers, the fabric suddenly tightening around her throat. The moment her back hit the concrete wall, a sharp pain shot through her.

“Hehe, hahahaha”

It hurt, but Nan Ziyue laughed anyway. Seeing Nan Zha lose her composure filled her with inexplicable excitement. So even that perpetually cold-faced Nan Zha could show such an expression.

“Take a guess”

“Guess my ass”

The mocking voice came through, and unable to suppress her inner rage any longer, Nan Zha’s face contorted as her grip around the neck gradually tightened.

“Speak!”

A voice filled with fury rang out. Nan Ziyue felt the sensation on her neck as a strong feeling of suffocation instantly overwhelmed her.

Looking at Nan Zha’s twisted expression, the moment she felt it, her previously closed eyes snapped wide open, her face showing terror, her mouth opening but unable to speak.

“Ahh, mmph…”

But those slender yet powerful fingers made it impossible for her to utter a single word.

Nan Ziyue could feel it, Nan Zha really seemed to want her dead. She began to panic; she didn’t want to die yet.

Her hands kept trying, her body began trembling uncontrollably, her feet started thrashing, attempting to remove the hand from her neck. But the difference in strength was overwhelming. Even with all her might, she couldn’t budge it at all.

“Nan Zha! Calm down! Don’t make a mistake. The priority right now is to contact Bai Ning first.”

Xia Zhichu had known Nan Zha for so long, but this was the first time she’d seen her like this. She was startled. Whenever anything related to Bai Ning came up, Nan Zha became impulsive, completely unlike her usual calm demeanor.

By the time she snapped back to reality, she saw Nan Ziyue already foaming at the mouth with rolled-back eyes, and hurriedly stepped forward to intervene.

Nan Ziyue was certainly disgusting and detestable, but it wasn’t worth committing a crime over her.

Seemingly at the mention of Bai Ning, Nan Zha’s rationality returned somewhat. Breathing heavily, her eyes were vicious.

“If anything happens to her, not even Nan Jianyu can protect you!”

After these words, she hurriedly ran outside. Xia Zhichu glanced at Nan Ziyue, who was lying on the ground coughing violently, confirmed she wasn’t dead, then closely followed behind Nan Zha.

Nan Zha’s current state clearly wasn’t right. She had to keep an eye on her and not let her do anything stupid.

Nan Ziyue lay on the ground, taking quite a while to recover. Feeling the severe pain in her face and lungs, her eyes showed lingering fear. She really thought she was going to die just then.

Gasping heavily, gritting her teeth, her eyes stared viciously in the direction Nan Zha had left, revealing a hint of madness.

………………

Her head was dizzy, and her body ached all over. Nan Zha really didn’t hold back.

This was Bai Ning’s current feeling. It felt like cosplaying as a speed bump on a highway and getting run over by a hundred-ton truck several times. She felt uncomfortable all over.

[PE Student: No broken skin]

Nan Ziyue, don’t let me catch you, or you’ll definitely get what’s coming to you!

As for why she was so certain it was Nan Ziyue, it was because Nan Zha had no reason to do this now, and Jiang Xiyue didn’t even know her, so it was impossible. Thinking it through, it could only be Nan Ziyue, whom she’d just offended.

Gritting her teeth, thinking of the culprit who caused her current state, Bai Ning was so angry her teeth itched.

But now wasn’t the time to think about this. She needed to know where she was before she could settle accounts with Nan Ziyue.

Looking around, the room was very dim and large, but she couldn’t see much clearly, only able to make out the vague outlines of some things.

“Where did Nan Zha bring me?”

Bai Ning was somewhat puzzled. She only remembered that she had persisted until she found Nan Zha before losing consciousness.

But now there was no one around, so she was a bit confused.

Struggling to get up, though her consciousness was still somewhat unclear.

“What is this floor made of? This floor is actually so soft”

Somewhat puzzled, she tentatively pressed down twice more. The floor was soft and seemed to have… warmth?

“Mmm~”

A strange sound came from below.

This immediately made Bai Ning less sleepy, and she rolled to the side in one swift motion.

“Who, who’s there!”

Her voice trembling somewhat, Bai Ning looked fearfully at the outline not far away.

This voice obviously didn’t sound like Nan Zha.

The figure gradually rose, making a seductive sound, stretching lazily. Although only an outline was visible, it added an even more hazy feeling in the dim room.

But Bai Ning felt a sense of familiarity, as if she’d seen this somewhere before.

“What’s wrong? You were holding me so tightly just now”

Seemingly noticing Bai Ning’s wariness, there was a hint of teasing in the voice.

The voice was also familiar. Bai Ning squinted her eyes, using the weak light streaming through the room’s floor-to-ceiling windows to carefully observe the figure before her. After much effort, she finally made out the person’s face.

The moment she saw it, her small mouth opened slightly, and Bai Ning’s small face was filled with surprise.

Xiyue? How could it be her?

Isn’t she supposed to be with Nan Zha?

Compared to Bai Ning’s confused expression, Jiang Xiyue felt extremely satisfied at this moment. Indeed, compared to flying solo as captain, it was most comfortable to have a co-pilot join for the flight.

She had previously racked her brains trying to create opportunities to get close to Bai Ning, but unexpectedly, Bai Ning had delivered herself right to her.

Although she was grateful to whoever had drugged Bai Ning, Jiang Xiyue still decided to send her a concrete shoes package.

After all, if Bai Ning hadn’t happened to encounter her, who knows how much she would have suffered.

What she hadn’t expected was that despite being an experienced captain, she had ended up as co-pilot assisting with takeoff just now.

Looking at Bai Ning’s petite yet well-endowed figure, except for the final step, Jiang Xiyue had done everything else. Licking her lips, she unconsciously swallowed.

Bai Ning looked at Jiang Xiyue before her with surprise and suspicion. She remembered she shouldn’t have gone to the wrong place, right? Looking at the red dot floating before her eyes, Bai Ning was certain.

Wait, red dot?

Why was there still such a large red dot here when Nan Zha wasn’t around?

There were only two major villainesses at the entire banquet: one was Nan Zha, and the other was Jiang Xiyue.

Connecting the name of the person before her, Xiyue, adding a Jiang would make it Jiang Xiyue.

No matter how slow Bai Ning’s reaction was, she realized something was wrong.

Could it be that…

Before Bai Ning could voice her suspicion, the system’s notification told her the answer.

[Jiang Xiyue is excited and wants to do it again, Feedback Value +345]

Great, it’s Jiang Xiyue, we’re doomed.
