Within a certain room within the pitch-black royal castle, Silva Castle, situated on a mountain in the capital.

In that room, the four eminent leaders of the demon nation had assembled.

“His Majesty is furious! The precious item was taken by that hero. If we don’t recover it, not only our lives but our very existence is at risk,” proclaimed Lloyd Pylon, the chief strategist and leader of the Vampire clan.

“However, Lloyd, do you know its whereabouts? Mindlessly searching would not be efficient, as you should well understand,” objected Tana Alana, the leader of the Dark Elf clan and chief of the Royal Guard.

“Tana, you’re as foolish as ever! There’s no need to waste time searching for it… let’s declare it war! Crush the human nations and force them to bring it to us themselves!!” advised Gazef Dilant, the leader of the Giant clan and the military commander.

“My forces are currently infiltrated and conducting a search. Gazef, your perspective is too narrow. If my forces can’t locate it, there’s still time even after that,” warned Darif Wolf, the leader of the Wolfman clan and the commander of the covert operations unit.

“We must retrieve that item, for us and our nation. It is absolutely crucial for the survival of our country… bear that in mind, everyone. What Gazef said isn’t entirely wrong. If it stays undiscovered, His Majesty is ready to wage war on the human continent,” emphasized Darif. “Well, if it comes to that, I’ll play my part accordingly,” he added.

“If it’s war, then it’s my time to shine. The rest of you can stay back,” declared Gazef.

“It looks like things are about to get rough again.”

As everyone left the room, Lloyd remained alone.

At that moment, a knock echoed, and a man entered, announcing his presence.

“Pylon Excellency… I’ve received reports from all the spies we dispatched to the southern continent. Unfortunately, there’s still no progress in the search.”

“I see. Instruct them to persist in the search. We don’t have much time.”

In a spacious tavern in the demon nation’s capital, open to beings of various races, a notably large giant, accompanied by his subordinates, was indulging in a drink.

“But seriously, we’re being underestimated! Don’t you agree? Ever heard of such a thing before? Something like that being stolen!?”

“Dilant Excellency! Your voice is a bit too loud… others might hear.”

One of his giant subordinates, also a giant, reprimanded the military commander, Dilant.
