Wang Qi sneezed and actually dispersed the terrifying ghost!

The exorcist trio stared at each other. They hadn’t been exorcists for long, but they’d seen enough to know, and never had they heard of such an obnoxious method!

Old Chen was wide-eyed. “What kind of bizarre ability is this?”

“If you ask me, who should I ask?” Linlin shot back, equally stunned.

Xiao Gao, however, narrowed his eyes, as if piecing it together. “Brother Qi has strong spiritual powers. What he did just now might not even be a technique. Sneezing itself must have triggered his spiritual energy, blasting the ghost with its overwhelming force.”

Even as he said it, disbelief colored his voice like he couldn’t quite convince himself. But it was the only explanation that made sense. Simply put, Brother Qi’s control over spiritual energy had already reached a level beyond comprehension!

Linlin agreed after a brief thought and cautiously asked, “Then… was that ghost destroyed?”

“Not sure. The ghost here is powerful, it shouldn’t die so easily…” Xiao Gao muttered. “Still, I believe in Brother Qi. There’s no way he’ll let the ghost slip by.”

Meanwhile, on the fourth floor of the Hongqi Apartments, Wang Qi rubbed his nose, wondering if he was catching a cold. Streaming really was rough work, bah.

When Wang Qi awakened the system, he also received a beginner gift pack. After opening it, it turned out to be a secret manual with a very flashy name—The Great Bodhisattva Golden Body Technique.

The system claimed that practicing this martial art would forge him the golden body of a bodhisattva, which would be immune to poisons and come with an ability to subdue demons and spirits… absolute nonsense! And yet the moment the system gave him the manual, Wang Qi practiced diligently and instantly advanced to the third stage….

The description even promised he would never fall sick again.

But now, in this gloomy place, even a gust of wind was enough to make him sneeze. How unreliable was that!

Wang Qi glanced at the live chat.

[There really was a shadow behind him just now!]

[That’s right, I saw it too!]

[I was watching the whole time! What shadow? Stop making things up!]

[Yeah, where’s the ghost?]

[But I think I did see something vaguely…]

The chat was in an uproar.

When the evil spirit appeared earlier, some viewers had glimpsed its shadow, while others with low spiritual sensitivity saw nothing at all.

“A shadow?” Wang Qi looked around in confusion, then it clicked. So, when the chat had been screaming “ghost,” they hadn’t been mocking him. They had actually seen something.

Very good! As he thought, with a face like his, how could anyone be calling him a ghost? Wang Qi couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief and smoothed down his messy hair.

Of course, as a committed atheist, he absolutely did not believe in ghosts’ existence. It was pitch black here, and the flashlight was flickering, so it would have been nothing more than a trick of the eyes. Plenty of so-called paranormal videos were created with this exact formula.

“Stop arguing, everyone. There are no ghosts in this world. Look, there’s nothing behind me. You must have all been mistaken. Now, let’s keep exploring the fourth floor. They say after that woman hanged herself here, lots of residents started having nightmares at night.”

Wang Qi went on, telling stories he’d dug up while combing through each room. Seeing how unaffected he was, the viewers were convinced, and virtual gifts flooded the screen.

They had to send gifts!

Only with gifts could they express their admiration!

And follows, too.

A streamer this bold… what if he really got himself killed later? Better follow while they still can!

The livestream’s popularity skyrocketed. Some viewers even dragged their family and friends from outside.

“Huh?” Wang Qi had just stepped out of a room when he noticed something and jogged over. “Friends, look what I’ve found!”

He arrived at a railing in the corridor. The iron bars were rusted, and from the ceiling above hung some loops clearly used for drying clothes. One of the loops had a tattered rope through it. And on that rope, for some reason, hung a piece of red rag. The rag swayed back and forth in the night breeze.

“This must be where that woman hanged herself,” Wang Qi spoke with a trace of excitement, just like a travel vlogger arriving at a famous attraction and eagerly introducing it to the audience. And of course, what was the point if you didn’t take a photo as a memento? So, Wang Qi captured the sight from all angles in his livestream.

[Guys… doesn’t that rag look like a person to you?]

[Upstairs, you are onto something…]

[It’s an illusion, obviously!]

[Illusion my ass, look carefully. That’s clearly someone hanging there!]

The chat were at each other’s throats again.

Wang Qi took a glance and felt even more pleased. This was the heat he wanted!

Honestly, he wasn’t sure if this really was the spot of hanging. It had been three years since the incident, and residents had still lived here for a while afterward. How could the rope still be here? It was most likely some pranksters’ work. They even hung up a red cloth.

Heh! Maybe the rumors of this place being haunted all started because of this rag! It did look convincing at a glance. But it couldn’t fool him!

With a swish, Wang Qi yanked down the red cloth.

Holding it up, he waved it in front of the camera. “Case closed, everyone! Many people came here exploring, saw this red cloth, and thought they’d run into a ghost. But today, I, atheist Xiao Qi, debunks it once and for all!”

[Host’s explanation kinda makes sense.]

[Makes sense my ass! People died in Hongqi Apartments afterwards!]”

[Did you see the dead yourself? It’s just rumors!]

[But I definitely saw a ghost earlier…]

[Illusion, all illusions! Wait for the replay and see for yourself!]

Meanwhile, the exorcist trio downstairs stared tensely at the shaking livestream screen, too stunned for words. With their spirit sight, what they saw was completely different from what ordinary people saw.

What red cloth, ah?! What Wang Qi held in his hand was the female ghost haunting the Hongqi Apartments!

Wang Qi was cruelly clutching the ghost by the neck. The ghost writhed in pain, letting out shrill, miserable screams. But Wang Qi was utterly unfazed.

Not only did he remain indifferent, making the ghost look increasingly pathetic, but he also kept addressing the livestream with the demeanor of a teacher, “There are no such things as ghosts in this world. We live in a world of science. Everything must be approached with a scientific perspective.”

Was this his idea of debunking?

Bullying the viewers because they couldn’t see a thing?!
