If Donta’s here, I must’ve dozed off, no doubt about that… When did I even fall asleep though, I haven’t the slightest clue. Last thing I remember was being in the 2nd training grounds maybe? I was listening into Lia-chan and the others’ conversation as I was nodding off and… ah… so that’s when it happened. I guess I fell asleep then and there. Huh, is no one around? Oh, of course, it’s five in the morning after all… I got the impression that Napping-san and Baldy-san were always around though. If I looked over to the party information it said Aurelia-chan was “asleep” as well. I’d feel bad for her if I woke her up, so let’s not.

“… It’s still only 5 o’clock, huh. What should I do?”

Then let’s promptly borrow the usual room 3 again. It’s pretty much a custom to use this room at this point. It was a traditional conference-like room that was around 25m2 big. It might be nice to decorate the room as long as it doesn’t get in the way…

Now, onto the subject of the matter. Last time, I remarkably failed at Animate – Fetish when I used Slaughter Taily Whaley but this time, I was far more leveled than I was previously. With me at level 79, that’s a 20 level difference from last time! Morgue could now fit 10 bodies so I even had 6 Slaughter Taily Whaley corpses in there as well as 2 Obliterate Taily Whaley corpses, which means at least one of these should turn out to be a success… I hope!

In terms of the all important equipment base we need, I’ll be using the common and uncommon earrings that were gathering dust in the guild storage. Everyone abandoned them during yesterday’s loot distribution anyways which meant I was probably fine to do whatever with them so let’s use them. Just in case though, I should at least jot down the records that I did take them out…

First, let’s start off with the numerous [Pearl Earrings] we have. How shabby, the only effect they had was VIT +1… I guess it’s the type of equipment that implies the idea of it being better than nothing. I wonder how far it could be enhanced though. With that said, I’ll just hold the cursed coin in my left hand, call upon my coffin, open the lid, bring out the Obliterate Taily Whaley corpse and hold the equipment in my right hand. Ready!

Man, I really thought it was gonna work… I wonder if this means boss or rare monster corpses get altered multiple times and every time it does, it draws from the success rate? If so, then even if the chance of failure was low, it’s bound to get your heart racing each time… Hm?

At any rate, boss-class monsters had a fixed failure rate apparently, which means it’s not gonna be a guaranteed 100% chance unless your Babylon-chan. Hmm, in that case, all I can do is pray! First, let’s line up all the equipment I was going to use on the table and start off by praying!

Well, whatever! I’ve done my part in praying, all that’s left is for it to actually reach! Here we go with revenge part two!

Its abilities are like the complete opposite of the Squippies, but its shortcomings weren’t as crazy… actually, having your magic damage halved is enough of a drawback in itself… The damage increase it offered was decent but what really made it stand out from the Squippies was the fact that it had a card slot! That’s huge and perhaps it’s more reasonable to think that slot made up for what it was lacking. I can’t be the one to use these though… Maybe Pers-chan might need them?

We made a new weapon for Lia-chan! If Lia-chan could use her Broom Control skill to make her broom smaller, then she should be able to hold onto a spare broom. Brooms are two-handed weapons but since the shrunken one was listed as “Reserve : None”, that meant we could set it there! Well done, Donta♡! You seized the opportunity and just threw it in there! Well, let’s see those effects now!

Uwah… I’ll allow myself to equip the Crimson Pearl. It wasn’t that my status resistances were at 100% but rather, I was immune to them in general. Even though the chances of me getting hit with bleed and burn would increase by 20%, no matter if my resistance was lowered by 100% or 10,000% or doubled, it wouldn’t affect me. That’s the magic of the boss attribute!

I confirmed this on the official site when I had free time in school so I’m pretty sure I’m right. If it’s not, then bosses could immediately die if you lowered their instant death resistance. Also, this water damage immunity! This is wonderful! It diminishes the risk of an accident waiting to happen from direct hits by those Insquidious!

And what’s with this broom, holy moly… If you carelessly deal a physical attack, you’re almost guaranteed to die instantly… However, Lia-chan’s physical damage was practically at 0%… and she won’t deal anything above 1 damage which was the default… so this is something that’s safe to use!!! In addition, Obliterate Taily Whaley was socketed in when it became a fetish!! Or wait, maybe the card was already in there since the broom came from an Obliterate Taily Whaley? Hmm, nah, it didn’t have Deep Crimson attached to the end of it until after it got was fetishized!

Still, it can’t be taken off, huh…! Well, that’s very cursed equipment-ish of it… Nevertheless, this crimson crimson broom had a pretty dumb name… It seems like you could make some silly name combinations with the equipment itself and the cards.

I wonder if Rena-chan-senpai will find this useful. If I recall, that marksman skill was a pierce-type attack.

With this, I’ll be immune to both fire and water damage and a 50% fixed chance to apply status effects! As long as they’re not immune themselves, my status effects will bypass at least 50% of their resistance! What a terrifying piece of equipment! Cursed equipment is the best!!!
