Going back in time a bit, I heard that Napping-san retaliated against the players who came to PK me and used a flashy skill that had enough power to smash their guild house into smithereens.

Pers-chan and I frantically returned to our guild house and when we did, Renachan-senpai was there to explain all the harassment that they’ve tolerated from a guild by the name of [Golden Wind] . While all that was happening, we got some kind of area message that resembled a wanted list… Moreover, Rena-chan-senpai had long left before we realized it and as I was thinking to myself what a fleeting girl she was, Napping-san came back and swiftly went to sleep cuddling our plushie. No way, you’re not gonna explain anything…?

Baldy-san had also just left to go do something so he wasn’t here either. Realizing that there was nothing we could really do, we composed ourselves and made our way to the beach. Not soon after, Renachan-senpai caught up with us. Along the way, Donta almost ended up killing someone acting strange but it seemingly wasn’t worth killing them as he just licked their face, covered them with sand, and drove them away.

“Phew… I finally caught up to you…”

“Rena-chan, hmm? You’re level 25!? Could it be!?”

“Yeah… earlier when we met, I heard a voice… and it killed it…”

If Pers-chan says it’s fine, then I’m okay with it too! Renachan-senpai was even a magic artillery user so, hold on, isn’t this party pretty well balanced? The vanguards were Donta and Pers-chan. The rearguard attackers were Aurelia-chan and Rena-chan-senpai. I could also fulfill all sorts of roles too so aren’t we pretty well-matched!?

Now then, today we have 5 people with us. Aurelia-chan got better at her broom control so she was able to move around at high speeds and could keep up with Donta’s full sprint so it’ll probably work.

Moreover, before we ran into Rena-chan, I tested [Abyss Walker] out for a bit! I was able to slip into and move along with Donta’s shadow or even warp inside of Aurelia-chan’s shadow. It’s basically a skill that lets you hide and move through your follower’s shadows. It’s possible for me to use magic while I’m in their shadows but if I do use magic from within the shadow, it takes up my necropoints so I couldn’t use it continuously. I have to really think about when to use it.

“Yeah, I don’t think we’re still being followed or anything since Donta hasn’t reacted but just in case…”

That’s right, I’ve come to a realization.

Slaughter Taily Whaley was a penalty monster that came after players that were detected to be moving at high speeds. Normally, you’re supposed to fall into despair the moment it appears as it serves to drive you out of the dungeon but if it really was considered just a penalty monster, it shouldn’t have item or experience drops– which means, this thing was actually a farmable monster.

This was the conclusion that I’ve arrived at. A method to reliably farm Slaughter Taily Whaley. We buff everyone with Negative Aura, stick Aegis on Donta just in case and because of Donta’s increase in stats, Slaughter Taily Whaley had a hard time catching up. Aegis would also ensure he wouldn’t take hits from stray monsters roaming around and even if that breaks, he’ll still have Bone Shield. Aurelia-chan’s control over her broom got better allowing her to avoid the monsters and cast Blizzard Cracker as she weaved in and out. Worst case scenario, she still has two revives so we can have her hold out until then.

I thought the armor penetration from Rena-chan-senpai’s Piercing Shot would work but… it’s as tanky as I expected. It looks like she did a certain amount of fixed damage but needless to say, it wasn’t going to take it down. However, 15 damage was still. Since this thing only had 200 damage, dealing 15 damage is pretty huge! All that’s left to do is run away until it dies from the curse…!

I didn’t hear anything about this, no one told me about this! No just no, I couldn’t have imagined things were going to turn out like this!!!

After that, we defeated a second Slaughter Taily Whaley and were in high spirits so we went for it again and started sprinting until another one appeared… but instead of the usual black pattern, this orca had a crimson red body and was extremely fast!!!

I’m pretty sure we’ve been waging war against this thing for nearly ten minutes now… I felt bad for Donta but he was running with three of us on his back. If his stats hadn’t increased when he evolved, we would’ve been dead a while ago.

Aurelia-chan was miraculously surviving. She was solely focused on evasion now and we were basically prioritizing her survival.

Honestly, we considered giving up… but I figured if this thing was related and belonged to the same 1 damage clan as the Slaughter Taily Whaleys then… Moreover, I didn’t want to give up after holding out this long against it and we should’ve done quite a bit of damage to it already. I believe its HP regeneration is also locked so it should die. With that as my line of thinking, we’ve been running for ten minutes.

This Crimson Blaster was also different from the usual Slaughter Taily Whaley!!! If that skill hits anyone but Donta, it would definitely spell instant death! It’s a skill that fires a bright red beam out of its mouth and not only was its speed terrifying but its power too. The other monsters that got hit with friendly fire had [Instant Death] written in the logs. Even if the effect wouldn’t work on me, the damage absolutely would!
