The answer to the question was interrupted by a knock at the door. The scheduled meeting time had arrived, but the mentor hadn’t shown up yet. Shen Yi had left himself too little time, and this plea had no conclusion, only giving Jiang Zhi the opportunity to escape.

Of course, she wouldn’t choose to appear anywhere with him. After Shen Yi left, she didn’t follow him closely but instead left directly.

She believed he would smooth things over.

Finding an empty classroom with few people, she sat down to rest and began to examine the trial-sized bottle of the pheromone spray.

“What’s the point of using this? If he sees me with another man, are you sure he won’t get even angrier?”

She was somewhat worried. Knowing Shen Yi’s temperament, if he lost it, anything could happen.

System: “According to statistics from personal experience, most men tend to establish good partnerships during a 3P.”

“Is that really a thing?”

She couldn’t help but laugh, feeling that the phrase “partnership” seemed oddly out of place here.

System: “Jiang Zhi, you should give it a try.”

“Alright.”

The choice was undoubtedly Meng Yun, because only he would be willing. That one person and the dog at home weren’t an option.

After stashing away the pheromone spray, Jiang Zhi checked the time. With another class in the afternoon, it didn’t seem like there was time today to carry out a plan involving multiple people.

Cheng Huai: [Are you free at noon?]

Before she could figure things out, another one was already clamoring for attention. She was starting to feel that this wasn’t sustainable. Keeping up this facade of a 1v1 relationship while actually juggling multiple partners was becoming impossible, even for a master of time management like herself.

Jiang Zhi: [Aren’t you out of town?]

Cheng Huai: [Came back early. If you’re free, XX Hotel, Room 2301.]

It seemed he didn’t want to waste time chatting and gave her a straightforward option.

However, she couldn’t find a reason to refuse. After replying with an “OK,” she headed to the address he provided.

A room key was tucked under the doormat. When she opened the door, he was still in the shower. The room was dimly lit, with scattered paper balls on the floor. She picked one up and unfolded it, discovering it was a sketch, and the portrait appeared to be of her.

Before she could pick up another one, the bathroom door opened, and the man emerged, dripping with water. He was wrapped in a towel that looked precariously close to slipping, with a very noticeable bulge beneath it.

“How long have you been here?”

His detached tone never wavered, the same cold emotionless demeanor he always carried when not fully in character. She often wanted to tease him or be affectionate, but his expression would remind her that their relationship was strictly business.

“Not long. I didn’t know you could draw. But why are there so many of me?”

The papers she had picked up were all sketches of her, making her suspect that the entire floor might be covered with similar drawings.

If there was one difference, it seemed to be her poses.

“Have you still not finished reading the script?” His cold gaze made her freeze for a moment, forcing her to cover her unease with a forced smile.

“Just a bit left.”

“Read it now. We’re filming tomorrow, and I’m not feeling inspired.”

Obediently, she opened the script. The scene involved Lu Yan humiliating Ruan Lin by having an artist paint them while they f🔥cked, and then threatening to publish the images. After much pleading, Ruan Lin convinced him to send the artist away, only for Lu Yan to start painting her himself… she was both the model and the canvas.

Jiang Zhi couldn’t help but marvel at the wild ideas from the Republican era. But besides him, this scene also required an extra, a disposable artist.

An idea popped into her mind. Wasn’t this role tailor-made for Shen Yi?

She glanced over at the man now setting up paper and paints, hesitating on how to bring up her suggestion.
