After all, she had to deal with whoever was at the door, and she couldn’t afford another awkward situation like last night—especially not in front of strangers.

Without checking the camera, she opened the door directly, assuming it was the breakfast delivery Xi Yu had arranged.

However, as soon as she cracked the door open, a force from outside pushed it wide.

But a familiar scent on the person in front of her dispelled her panic in the next second.

“Good morning Jie!”

Meng Yun greeted her with a bright smile, wrapping her in his arms. He lowered his head to kiss her lightly on the lips before burying his face in her neck.

“Why is it you?”

Her panic shifted to an even bigger fear than a burglary as she tried to push him away hard. “How did you know where I live?”

He didn’t answer. Instead, he responded to her struggles by biting her collarbone.

Realizing resistance was futile, she softened her tone, trying to coax him: “This isn’t a place you should be. How about you leave, and I’ll come to you later, okay?”
