Jiang Zhi was still in a daze, but Cheng Huai had already gotten into character, sitting comfortably on the sofa.

She quickly skimmed through the script, noting that there weren’t many lines and that the focus was on the rape scene.

Since the female lead had already attempted several assassinations, this close contact required her to conceal her identity. She glanced around, but there were no specific props available, so she grabbed a silk scarf and secured it with a hairpin.

Swaying her hips as she walked over to him, she knelt down in front of him and poured him a glass of whiskey. She said, “Greetings to Commander Lu. Manager Liu sent me in to serve you while you watch the opera.”

The TV behind them was indeed playing an opera, and she admired this person’s dedication to acting.

“And who might you be?”

Lu Yan narrowed his eyes, leaning in closer as he lifted her chin to study her features.

According to the script, he had already recognized her by now.

“Why cover your face?”

“This humble servant’s appearance is not worthy of Commander Lu’s eyes. How about letting Ruan Lin serve you a drink?”

She turned her face to avoid his hand that tried to pull off the silk scarf, her delicate and charming demeanour was conveyed entirely through her eyes.

With a contemptuous curl of his lips, Lu Yan took the glass she offered.

“Did Manager Liu only instruct you to serve wine with no other duties?”

He pulled her up, letting his hand slip deep into the slit on the side of her qipao, caressing her smooth, delicate thigh.

The unfamiliar touch, combined with the slight roughness of his hand, sent a shiver through Jiang Zhi, making her involuntarily let out a soft moan.

She noticed Cheng Huai’s eyes froze for a moment, so she quickly resumed the scene to avoid any awkwardness.

“Manager Liu instructed me to ensure the Commander enjoys himself. This humble servant… will do whatever the Commander wants.”

Leaning closer to him, she picked up the glass he had just set down and offered it again. “Please, enjoy yourself, Commander.”

Two seconds later, Lu Yan suddenly laughed loudly, and his voice rose startling her with the abrupt rise in his voice.

“Then let me see what makes the wine poured by this beauty so special.”

With that, he downed the drink in one gulp and pulled her to sit on his lap.

“Commander has quite a way with drinks.”

Pressed so closely against him, Jiang Zhi couldn’t help twisting her waist and sliding against his chest, using her limited experience to seduce him.
