Chapter 93: Viewing Room 23 (Including Extra Chapter 2 Thanks to Ningning’s Long Review)

Kunikida also spoke resentfully: Yunxi-kun was so reluctant to even push Gogol-kun, yet activating Jewel King’s Aberration] to kill the circus members was done so effortlessly. Isn’t this difference a bit too extreme?

Nakajima Atsushi whispered: After all, these people weren’t exactly good individuals.

Kunikida: …Alright.

That was a fair point.

Mori Ōgai overheard this exchange between Nakajima Atsushi and Kunikida. He raised an eyebrow and murmured quietly: I truly never expected that Yunxi-kun’s use of Jewel King’s Aberration] would attract absolutely no hostility.

If ACE – who had desperately concealed his special ability throughout his lifetime – could witness this scene, he would surely be extremely envious.

Unfortunately, the ACE from their world had long been dead. He couldn’t possibly appear in the Viewing Room, let alone witness this scene. Mori Ōgai could only imagine it at most.

Meanwhile, Little Gogol and the Little White Bird he had just captured witnessed the entire event.

Sigma had initially felt a slight pity for the young Gogol, but after seeing the young Gogol’s inner thoughts, even that tiny bit of sympathy completely vanished.

So naive! Haha!

Sigma wanted to endure it, thinking it would pass if he just held on.

But halfway through his attempt to endure, upon seeing the content on the large screen, Sigma could no longer contain himself: Isn’t this all because the movie mostly follows Yunxi’s perspective, and Yunxi genuinely thinks you’re extremely pitiful?!

He had been led astray by Yunxi!

The content on the large screen was indeed as Sigma described.

Yunxi couldn’t bear to harm the pure, innocent, cute, and pitiful Little Gogol. To avoid being logged out of the game, he could only send all the other employees to the guillotine instead.

This segment of Yunxi’s inner thoughts not only shocked the others in the Viewing Room, but even Gogol himself was startled: Huh? Who is this person? Is this the Clown?

Dazai Osamu said ominously: This is Gogol-kun through Yunxi-kun’s eyes.

Haha, but hasn’t the Clown already started deliberately showing himself to Little Yunxi? Gogol’s voice grew progressively quieter. Wouldn’t Little Yunxi realize…

Yunxi devoted all his energy to figuring out how to protect Little Gogol without breaking character.

In the morning, to make Little Gogol eat the fried buns in front of him, Yunxi knocked all the other people’s food onto the ground.

Kunikida: Yunxi-kun is being so wasteful with food… Oh, it turns out those employees would pick it up and eat it themselves.

He was wrong! It was his own mindset that was wasteful with food!

At noon, Yunxi played with Little Gogol’s bird, and when Little Gogol caught him, he kicked the acrobat away.

Sakaguchi Ango wore a pained expression: What did the acrobat do wrong…

In the afternoon, Yunxi heard the bird chirping frantically and went over to find Little Gogol being harassed by a pedophile.

Yosano’s expression turned grim: A pedophile… Indeed, no amount of heavy-handed treatment would be excessive…

Wait, wait, wait! Kunikida on the other side was greatly shocked. What did Yunxi-kun chop off?!

Miyazawa Kenji said dryly: Judging by the subsequent line ‘I have a shemale fetish,’ it should probably be what everyone is thinking.

After all, only by doing that could the person become the kind of shemale that Yunxi could play with.

Compared to this, Yunxi-kun’s previous act of directly taking away important things using the Scales of Fate] actually seems quite gentle. Perhaps this is the special treatment that pedophiles deserve, haha.

Mori Ōgai, who felt like he was also being insulted: .

The other Port Mafia members didn’t dare speak for a moment. They watched the pedophile on the big screen who had been stuffed full and then sliced apart, keeping their mouths firmly shut until the next scene appeared, when they eagerly changed the subject.

Nakahara Chuuya: Just looking at how Yunxi killed that beast, I’d believe he’s a real super-masculine male!

Even though it was Little Gogol who provoked the beast himself, why was Yunxi so angry at a mindless creature?

Ozaki Kouyou: Well… this humble one only thinks it’s completely normal that the audience didn’t dare complain.

After all, seeing this scene, even she would suspect that anyone who dared complain would be targeted and attacked by the super-masculine male!

At night, Yunxi was being peeped on by Little Gogol lying on the roof beam.]

Nakahara Chuuya: Demanding greetings at 3 AM, killing everyone who doesn’t show up… Does he think he’s still living in feudal society?

Mori Ōgai watched the scene where circus members who showed up got slapped hard, while those who didn’t show up got beaten until their noses bled, expressionless: Feudal society wasn’t that simple.

The rules of feudal society could never be as unpredictable as Yunxi’s rules!

After so many days, the circus members finally couldn’t take it anymore.

They decided to gain liberation by hanging themselves.]

Only now they can’t take it? Dazai Osamu’s expression showed some admiration. Although these guys are psychologically perverted, they’re really capable of enduring hardship!

But dying this way is very painful, and there’s a high probability the rope might break or the beam might collapse from too many people, leaving you unable to die…

None of what Dazai mentioned happened.

What happened next was Yunxi rushing in, delivering several consecutive flying kicks, knocking everyone down, and sternly scolding: No swinging on swings indoors!]

Dazai Osamu: …?

Almost everyone else in the Viewing Room: ○口○

Kunikida trembled as he pointed at the screen: H-he drove his subordinates to the point of suicide, then came to scold them about no swinging on swings indoors?

Is this right? Just watching this scene through the screen made him feel like his karma was being depleted!

The others didn’t speak, but it was clear their spirits had also suffered severe shock.

Gogol awkwardly: Haha.

Even a clown would feel guilty being loved by a Savior like Little Yunxi.

In any case, for the circus members during this period, it was like being thrown into the eighteenth level of hell where they got raped by fate every single day.]

Dazai Osamu had just recovered when he saw this description of the circus members’ mental state, becoming half-dead again: What a disgusting way to put it, and what’s worse is that I actually think they’re right…

Nakajima Atsushi was startled by Dazai’s current state and quickly comforted him after recovering: Dazai-san, it’s actually not that bad! Yunxi-kun isn’t planning to continue tormenting these circus members now!

Because Yunxi wants to keep these people to torment slowly.]

Dazai Osamu: .

Nakajima Atsushi: Dazai-san!

The Viewing Room was bustling with activity, and the large screen was no less lively.

Yunxi turned his spearhead toward the circus audience, and thus, the first human performance was born.

Gogol was first shocked, then burst into hysterical laughter: Humans performing! Sigma, look! It’s the human performance pioneered by little Yunxi!

Sigma: .

He didn’t see a human performance—only an audience member who had stolen Gogol’s clown identity.

Yunxi was truly wicked!

And there was even more wickedness.

While the front stage was lively, Yunxi lounged backstage, munching on melon seeds and watching, laughing so hard his whole body shook.

Ookura Teruko remarked gloomily, If Yunxi-kun keeps laughing and shaking like that, he’s going to shake this recliner into driving off on its own!

Teruko’s description was particularly amusing, but Sakaguchi Ango, watching the arrogant Yunxi on the big screen, couldn’t bring himself to laugh.

Sakaguchi Ango groaned in agony, Just who is the one who bought the tickets here…

Also, was the circus ringmaster originally supposed to be evil in this direction? This definitely wasn’t right!

Only after Little Gogol stepped onto the stage to face the audience did Yunxi finally reveal the true direction a circus ringmaster’s evil should take.

Yunxi planned to use Jewel King’s Aberration] to casually kill one of the workers with an easy job and hand their tasks over to Little Gogol.

Nakajima Atsushi instantly grew tense, but when he heard about the daily training routines of the circus members, his eyes widened in shock, and he couldn’t help feeling a sliver of admiration.

However, that admiration quickly vanished as Atsushi recalled the atrocities these people had committed.

Though their misdeeds might not have surpassed those of many present, their sins were no less grave—after all, they were truly capable of killing ordinary people purely for their own amusement!

Yosano’s expression remained cold. So how is it that none of these people ended up permanently disabled during training?

She was being rather gentle—she didn’t wish for them all to die, just to become crippled, abandoned by others in the cruel arena of the circus, and left to perish.

Gogol chuckled softly before continuing, Then they wouldn’t even get the chance for little Yunxi’s imagined ‘3-2-1 jump’—they’d just end up in the belly of a wild beast!

Everyone in the Viewing Room: !!!

So that wild beast drooling over Gogol earlier was because it had already eaten people before?

Yunxi hadn’t wrongfully accused it after all?!

Nakajima Atsushi felt nauseated, but as he glanced at the Gogol of his own world, another thought occurred to him.

Yunxi-kun can’t avoid meeting Gogol-san alone forever, Atsushi murmured, unconsciously clenching his fingers. When that time comes…

How would Yunxi deal with the game’s OOC warning then?

As if on cue…

That evening, when Yunxi returned to his room, Little Gogol showed up again with Little White Bird.

Too lazy to go out and beat someone up today, Yunxi directly acknowledged Little Gogol’s presence for the first time and issued a threat.

Sigma was frantic: When you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes back, but the abyss allows you to look—just not for too long. You can look for a little while each day… Is that even considered a threat?!

This game’s AI is seriously stupid!

Fyodor, however, remained perfectly calm. But after saying that, Yunxi-kun is going to take action.

Just as the Viewing Room occupants tensed up, the scene unfolded right before their eyes.

Although the plot seemed tense, the expressions of the people in the viewing room didn’t tense up along with it. Instead, they gradually grew strange.

Why wasn’t Yunxi punished by the game? Could it be what they were thinking…

Finally, Nakajima Atsushi couldn’t hold back any longer and spoke up: Y-Yunxi-kun, was judged by the game as a pedophile?!

Edogawa Ranpo: Clearly, yes.

Nakajima Atsushi closed his eyes, then reopened them.

Wait, is that right?!

Atsushi had imagined ten thousand ways Yunxi could evade the game’s detection, but he never considered this one. Of course, everyone else in the viewing room felt the same.

However, because of this, many people began looking at Gogol with strange expressions.

Ozaki Kouyou whispered: Since Yunxi-kun’s actions aren’t considered OOC, then what about our world’s Gogol-kun…

That’s not the case at all! Gogol’s smile stiffened as he forcibly interrupted Ozaki Kouyou’s words, then revealed part of his past that he originally hadn’t intended to share with others. The circus master in this clown’s memories died long ago! This clown never had any contact with him!

Edogawa Ranpo: Hmm… Clown-kun isn’t lying.

The viewing room crowd: …

They withdrew their gossipy gazes and turned back to the large screen.

Only Gogol kept muttering to himself: That version of the clown’s combat ability was indeed somewhat lacking, but in a one-on-one close combat situation, this clown still had 100% confidence in securing victory…

The reason the younger Gogol found the animal trainer troublesome was simply because the trainer’s whip was long enough and he had a bunch of ferocious beasts obeying his commands!

Noticing that no one was paying attention to him, Gogol let out a dissatisfied hum and also turned his attention back to the large screen.

Yunxi couldn’t be bothered to deal with any more trouble.

He agreed to Gogol’s request to sleep together, added that the little bird couldn’t come on the bed, and then directly fell asleep.

Gogol’s eyes widened slightly: Eh? Does little Yunxi trust this clown so much?

Nakahara Chuuya’s fists clenched again.

Chuuya felt Yunxi should trust the clown, but also shouldn’t trust the clown.

This clown guy truly has no bottom line and would absolutely do something like sleeping x!!!

Ozaki Kouyou noticed Chuuya’s thoughts and quietly reminded him: Chuuya, this Clown-kun isn’t even 10 years old yet.

Nakahara Chuuya: .

Well, that’s true.

But just as Chuuya relaxed his fists, the little Gogol on the large screen made a new move.

Little Gogol tested for a while, confirming that Yunxi was asleep, then immediately used his special ability on Yunxi’s earring.

Shh.

Don’t get in the way.

Many people in the viewing room were startled by the young Gogol’s murderer-like gaze – which was in no way inferior to his adult version – and began wondering what was wrong with Gogol, whether there was something inherently abnormal in his DNA.

But Nakahara Chuuya’s reaction was simply: I knew he wouldn’t behave!

Today he steals Yunxi’s earring, tomorrow he’ll steal all of Yunxi’s possessions!

Isn’t Yunxi supposed to be cautious? Why not show a little of that when dealing with the clown!

Nakahara Chuuya: If we really want to trace it back to the source, aren’t these earrings also made from Yunxi’s ashes?!

While these two were arguing, Fyodor’s expression gradually took on a hint of curiosity.
This clown who always claimed to be his best friend had never before told him why he pursued freedom or why he loved free little birds.

Moreover, since Gogol was exceptionally intelligent, Fyodor genuinely hadn’t been able to uncover any relevant clues over the years due to Gogol’s deliberate concealment.

Fyodor had speculated that Gogol likely developed his pursuit of freedom after his loved one’s death and his subsequent departure from his original home, projecting this desire onto winged birds.

But now it seemed that, at least during the circus period, Gogol didn’t have such strong attachments to freedom and little birds.

So what exactly happened in the future that could change Gogol so profoundly?

The large screen didn’t immediately provide answers to Fyodor’s questions.

Time moved to the next day.

Yunxi quickly noticed one of his earrings was missing.

But looking at the well-behaved Little Gogol, Yunxi immediately dismissed the correct possibility and concluded: It must have been those thieving bastards!]

Kunikida broke down: How can he pretend to be so blind? There’s only Gogol-kun and a little white bird here!

Yosano murmured: If you say that, Yunxi-kun might target the little white bird.

Kunikida smoothly changed his tune: Then it must have been those light-fingered scoundrels!

The expressions of everyone around instantly became peculiar.

They understood Kunikida meant that the little white bird was just an innocent creature, while the circus members were genuinely wicked. The circus members deserved their misfortune, but the little white bird would suffer unjustly if targeted, so it didn’t matter if Yunxi falsely accused the circus members.

Unfortunately, no matter how much they wanted to comment, no one spoke up.

Not because they feared Kunikida’s embarrassment, but because the subsequent plot on the large screen became increasingly absurd.

First, Yunxi found Little Gogol adorable and agreed to take the actual culprit to harass the false suspects.]

Nakahara Chuuya groaned: What part of that is adorable…?

Little Gogol was thinner than Akutagawa Ryunosuke, had messier hair than Nakajima Atsushi with worse texture, wore worse clothes than Kyusaku Yumeno, didn’t smile innocently enough, and the skin on his hands was covered with frostbite from Russia’s cold climate… He could list a hundred flaws about Little Gogol, so what exactly was adorable?!

Then Yunxi declared while interrogating others with Little Gogol: Setting aside the facts…]

Ookura Teruko immediately exploded: Yunxi-kun says ‘setting aside the facts’ at a time like this? He might as well just beat them up without any reason!

Yunxi didn’t resort to beating, but merely gave each person a couple of light kicks. When accused of favoritism, he patted Little Gogol’s cheek and said: This little one has unique charm, while you peculiar folks look so ordinary. Isn’t it normal for me to prefer him?]

Ozaki Kouyou: Well… now he’s giving reasons.

Nakahara Chuuya collapsed: But how could Yunxi just openly admit he likes Gogol-kun’s face?!

The only one who seemed to grow increasingly delighted while watching was likely Gogol, who cupped his own face with both hands: The clown knows the clown has a handsome face! Little Yunxi has excellent taste!

The others in the Viewing Room: …

Well, that would apply to your current self, right? Why don’t you take a good look at your past self and say that again?

The older Gogol had clearly long accepted the fact that Yunxi liked him and wouldn’t dwell on such matters.

Meanwhile, Little Gogol became troubled.

He initially thought the circus ringleader might be a pedophile, but now he felt something wasn’t quite right.

Unable to figure it out no matter how hard he thought, Little Gogol decided to be direct: Ringleader, what’s your name? Where are you from?

Shakespeare expressed surprise: He actually asked directly?

Agatha said gravely: But Yunxi-kun cannot answer.

Not only because of the circus ringleader persona, but also because crossing time to deliver massive amounts of information to the past would inevitably come with a very, very heavy price.

Agatha didn’t voice this thought aloud, but the others in the Viewing Room could sense the impending storm.

Nakahara Chuuya frowned: But Yunxi wouldn’t lie to Gogol-kun…

Indeed, Yunxi wouldn’t lie, but he intended to take this particular memory from Little Gogol and show it off to the older Gogol.

Nakahara Chuuya: …

Kunikida found it hard to believe: He just made Gogol-kun forget the original question like that?

Yosano corrected: Not forget, just transferred it to the future Gogol-kun.

Kunikida: That’s hardly any different… Wait, this Gogol-kun remembered it again now!

After all, what Yunxi took was only this small fragment of memory. Little Gogol only needed to compare it with his previous thoughts to deduce what had just happened.

Gogol: Don’t look at the clown with such surprised expressions. Little Yunxi’s Scales of Fate] has always worked this way. Little Yunxi just uses it after the other party receives information from his side, so even if they realize something is missing from their memory, it’s difficult to learn the truth…

As he spoke, Gogol’s voice gradually faded, and he showed a surprised expression: Huh? Is the clown supposed to go out now?

Little Gogol brought along his own knife, Yunxi’s handgun, and some spare bullets.

Long time no see. Little Gogol smiled as he stabbed his knife into an adult’s calf. Remember me?

Many in the Viewing Room were startled by Little Gogol’s decisiveness and ruthlessness.

The Russian Transcendent’s reaction stood in stark contrast to those around her.

But I didn’t go.

She didn’t reveal the truth that she had discovered the entire village deserved their fate back then, which was why she never went, making her words sound particularly cold. However, this coldness effectively soothed the nearly agitated clown.

Gogol muttered: That’s why the clown hates these Espers who can keep tracking things down!

Sakaguchi Ango showed some discomfort: Even for revenge, this degree of torture and killing seems excessive…

What followed was even more extreme.

Gogol shot the head of the mastermind responsible for his experiences to pieces, then aimed the gun at the gasoline-soaked ground.Nakajima Atsushi nearly vomited from the刺激 of seeing the mixture of blood and brain matter ignited by flames.

When he saw Little Gogol take out the earring and mimic Yunxi’s eyes, delighting in this scene, Nakajima Atsushi couldn’t help but blurt out: Yunxi-kun wouldn’t want to see such a bloody scene!

Gogol: Hmm? The Clown doesn’t think so~ As long as it’s done by the Clown, Little Yunxi will love it no matter what!

After all, Yunxi still has things he must do in the future.

Ozaki Kouyou suddenly remembered: Ah, that’s right, Yunxi-kun wants to give the memories of the past Gogol to the future Gogol.

But would this actually work? If it succeeded, how would Gogol react upon remembering he already knew Yunxi…

Yunxi didn’t immediately hand over the memories to Gogol. He was still setting the stage.
Ozaki Kouyou and the others waited and waited.

Yunxi was still setting the stage.
They continued waiting.

Yunxi remained in the setup phase.
Nakahara Chuuya couldn’t take it anymore: Is he going to give Gogol-kun the memories or not? What’s the point of all this dawdling?!

Yunxi still hadn’t given the memories to Gogol, but both Gogol and Sigma noticed Yunxi was missing an earring.
Chuuya, who had also been curious about how Yunxi would explain this, was temporarily pacified.

Nothing important, it was stolen. After saying this, Yunxi directly slapped the memories into Gogol’s mind.

Childhood Gogol’s Memories]×1, in you go!
After a brief silence, Chuuya completely lost his temper: Does he actually know we’re all watching his footage and is now performing how to surprise everyone with minimal effort?

When they wanted Yunxi to give the memories to Gogol, he refused. The moment someone asked about the earring, Yunxi immediately complied. Was he deliberately playing with their expectations?!

Mori Ōgai: Hmm, but Gogol-kun doesn’t seem to have received these memories.

Indeed, the Clown merely looked confused, completely unaware of what Yunxi was doing.
Unlike others who were still pondering why the memory transfer succeeded yet Gogol showed no reaction, Chuuya began emitting flickering dark red light around himself.

Chuuya said ominously: Now I’m starting to wonder how this Viewing Room would handle a gravity attack!

Of course, Chuuya was just making empty threats. With so many Transcendents present yet none able to leave freely, Chuuya wasn’t arrogant enough to believe he surpassed them all.

After his outburst, Chuuya reluctantly turned his attention back to the large screen.

While Gogol was still wondering how he had offended Yunxi today, Yunxi – after searching for livestock farms where he could purchase small quantities of various animals – directly jumped off the Sky Casino].
Chuuya startled: Is he using resurrection again? There’s no need to be so urgent…

Yunxi used a previously unused special ability that could briefly negate impact.
Chuuya: .

Never mind then.

Fyodor, however, showed a strange expression: So many types of special abilities concentrated in one person…

Even Shibusawa Tatsuhiko could only utilize special abilities’ original functions when they were in their ruby state. How was Yunxi achieving this?

Could Yunxi truly be of a higher existence…

Fyodor looked up in confusion.

By now, many days had passed since Yunxi first visited the livestock farm.

Though Gogol and Sigma didn’t know Yunxi had taken these supplies to another timeline, they had realized one thing after observing Yunxi for an extended period.
Kunikida: Being so concerned about those animals, it seems Yunxi-kun is keeping some little beast outside… Wait, that’s not the right way to put it, is it!

Shakespeare continued with a smile, That’s quite normal. After all, love usually comes with possessiveness. It’s perfectly understandable that Clown-kun wishes Yunxi-kun could belong to him alone.

Gogol awkwardly laughed, Haha, Clown despises such subordinate relationships the most. Even if Clown likes little Yunxi, he would never force such things upon him. At most, Clown just dislikes seeing little Yunxi playing with others… Fyodor-kun, you understand Clown best—you can surely tell that everything Clown says is true, right!

Fyodor: .

Should he tell the truth? The truth was that he couldn’t discern any of that—all he could see was that the Gogol from another world currently wished he could tear his past self limb from limb.

Moreover, no matter which Gogol it was, whenever facing Yunxi, that overwhelming scent of artifice was practically overflowing!
