Chapter 58: Long Time No See

Yunxi is really resurrected? Then why hasn’t he come to the Sky Casino?

It’s fine, it’s fine, no need to worry. Wherever Yunxi goes, he causes huge commotions. As long as the Sky Casino keeps investigating, we’ll eventually find Yunxi.

Sigma quickly comforted himself. After we bring Yunxi back, we’ll contact Gogol-kun!

Soon enough, Sigma realized he had been too naive.

Yunxi seemed to be born with some innate talent for tunnel warfare – not only could he run faster than a rabbit, skillfully employing the cunning rabbit has three burrows tactic, retreating immediately after gaining advantages, but he also attacked randomly from all directions, leaving the Sky Casino’s personnel completely unable to predict his movements.

After chasing around in circles without making any contact with Yunxi, the Sky Casino’s people had to settle for second best – compiling reports of Yunxi’s daily activities.

When Sigma opened them, he saw that on Monday Yunxi committed robbery, on Tuesday he enjoyed life, on Wednesday he took revenge, on Thursday he simultaneously provoked two enemy factions, and on Friday he sat back and watched others fight.

On Saturday Yunxi stayed home seemingly doing nothing, but by Sunday news spread that Yunxi had enrolled everyone who had ever criticized him online in Zhonghua’s social security system.

Yes, though the Sky Casino couldn’t figure out how Yunxi managed to enroll foreigners in Zhonghua’s social security, he had indeed done it.

After enrolling them, Yunxi even called their workplaces or schools, claiming they were Party members and spies from Zhonghua who needed to be immediately expelled.

Yunxi’s evidence was quite compelling, but in many places everyone from the boss to the employees were Party members. There was even a Party member spy in Western Sahara, making the situation rather ridiculous.

Those wrongly accused naturally cried injustice. But Zhonghua netizens began frantically claiming online that yes, we indeed have undercover agents numbering comparable to the entire population of Japan spread across the world; actual undercover agents also fully muddied the waters, hoping to make their covert operations smoother…

And so, the entire world descended into chaos again.

Some clever individuals realized something and posted online that the Armed Detective Agency had been wrongly accused of wrongdoing, that Fukuchi Ochi was half-dead and too busy to cause trouble, and that while Yunxi was reported dead, no body was ever found – meaning he might not be dead at all. Now it appeared certain Yunxi was alive, meaning all the recent troubles were Yunxi’s doing.

They concluded that Yunxi was the real demon pill.

Then, these people also became labeled as Zhonghua undercover agents.

After reading all this, Sigma froze for two seconds before realizing what had just entered his brain.

No way! How did Yunxi manage to cause this much trouble in just over a week?!

Sigma began deploying additional personnel, and the Sky Casino publicly issued a wanted notice targeting Yunxi.

Meanwhile, Gogol finally found two diamonds perfectly suited for Yunxi.

After setting the two sparkling cyan gems into the silver earrings he had prepared earlier, Gogol shook them gently, humming a tune as he walked cheerfully out of the auction house.

BOOM!!! A massive explosion suddenly erupted. Though Gogol wasn’t close to the epicenter, the blast still lifted the edge of his cloak.

Gogol looked puzzled: There are mafia shootouts here too?

This isn’t some ungoverned wasteland—with such high-end auction houses nearby, can’t this country even provide basic security?

Driven by curiosity, Gogol took a few steps forward to see what the commotion was about.

Then, a familiar figure abruptly caught his eye.

Thick smoke from explosions filled the air, sirens wailed in the distance accompanied by crowd shouts, and the wind of freedom swept through—scenes Gogol would have once adored, but now he paid them no mind.

He stood silently, gaze locked intensely on the boy standing atop the rooftop.

The boy still had the familiar long black hair, though it had grown longer, flowing smoothly down his back with just the ends slightly curled.

Gogol could even guess it was from the boy accidentally pressing on it while sleeping last night. But the boy was too lazy to fix it, stubbornly insisting it was a deliberate styling choice.

Of course, that alone wouldn’t have made Gogol so dazed.

But the resemblance was uncanny—even the lively, amused expression as he watched the distant chaos was identical.

A high-level mental-type Esper?

Gogol’s expression grew increasingly fervent, yet his mind cooled with clarity.

After a moment’s thought, Gogol decided to eliminate this impostor.

Since the Savior was already dead, this world had no right to create a new one imitating Yunxi.

With his [Overcoat] Special ability fully activated, Gogol teleported directly beside the boy.

The black-haired boy first showed astonishment at the sudden attack, then instinctively counterattacked.

The boy seemed to possess a powerful Special ability—Gogol felt the spatial channels he created being constantly dispersed and torn apart by ability-generated hurricanes, his cheeks and wrists stinging as if scraped by fine blades… but everything stopped abruptly when the boy clearly saw Gogol’s face.

Korya?!

Gogol’s blade continued descending without hesitation, halting just before touching the boy.

Someone completely unafraid of death… Could it really be Yunxi?

Gogol had gone to the auction alone but returned to his hideout with Yunxi.

Yunxi clung to Gogol the entire way, nuzzling against his hair while whining, Korya, you’re so mean—I really thought you were going to kill me.

Feeling the familiar warmth on his back, Gogol forced a light tone:

Oh? Does little Yunxi think Clown is mean?

Yunxi just stared at Gogol’s profile.

He finally understood why Gogol showed hostility toward players in the official Sims: Yokohama diagnostics—it was because Gogol believed the player was dead, refused to accept substitutes, and wanted to eliminate all resembling existences.

So Gogol liked the player that much… Well then!

Yunxi’s anger instantly vanished. He tightened his embrace around Gogol’s arm and cheerfully replied, But I didn’t die, did I?

Gogol didn’t respond immediately.

Yunxi continued, By the way Korya, did you find the refurbished bird I left? Do you like it?

Gogol seemed to snap back to attention, Hmm, I like it. It’s just a bit too flashy. Shouldn’t Korya be a little white bird?

Yunxi nuzzled against Gogol’s head, Hehe, I know, but I wanted to save all those beautiful gems for you.

Gogol fell silent again.

Yunxi didn’t mind. He continued rubbing against Gogol, asking who had been bold enough to target him during this time, whether Gogol had taken the opportunity to offer incense for him when visiting the Imperial Ancestral Temple, and why Gogol suddenly decided to dig up the little bird…

Of course, these weren’t Yunxi’s main focus. His real intentions were the occasional deep embraces where he’d inhale Gogol’s scent, interspersed with periodic declarations of obsessive longing for Gogol.

Gogol remained exceptionally quiet and composed throughout, not even behaving like the Clown anymore.

But when Yunxi said, Korya, can I take off your mask? and immediately acted on it by storing the mask in his backpack, Gogol finally showed additional movement.

He turned his head with a smile, opened his mouth, and roughly bit Yunxi’s tongue.

Yunxi: ???

Feeling hands beginning to creep under his clothes, Yunxi spoke bluntly as soon as his tongue was released, Korya, when you say you missed me, it’s not this kind of missing, is it?

Gogol blinked his heterochromatic eyes, Hmm… is that not allowed?

Yunxi wanted to say definitely not – Korya could be a white or colorful little bird, but not a yellow one.

But Gogol’s eyes suddenly grew misty.

Yunxi was struck by how much this adult Korya’s expression resembled his childhood self. He even forgot to explain his earlier mental turmoil – how his phone had initially run out of power, and later how he’d been afraid Gogol disliked him and didn’t dare to visit. Thus, he silently accepted Gogol shifting all the blame onto him.

Then, soft-hearted Yunxi encountered an evil clown who understood nothing about sparing his tenderness.

Not only did he show no restraint in strength, frequently biting Yunxi here and there, but he also kept pushing forward regardless of what Yunxi said.

When Yunxi tried to resist, Gogol promptly produced a pair of earrings.

This is the Clown’s return gift for little Yunxi. The Clown searched for a very, very long time to find these…

Yunxi’s heart softened again.

Looking at the cyan earrings even more beautiful than the previous pair, Yunxi obediently let Gogol use his space-based special ability to pierce new ear holes and thread them through.

What followed was quite straightforward.

The pale-skinned clown rubbed his cheeks against the earrings, then naturally kissed Yunxi himself when Yunxi turned his head in discomfort.

Two fluffy heads pressed together, white and black hair intertwining and separating, with only occasional slivers of light filtering through, refracted by diamonds into scattered, brilliant sparkles.

…

When it finally ended, Yunxi couldn’t even muster the energy to be angry.

With one hand resting on Gogol’s back covered by long silver hair, his other hand unconsciously traced the scar he’d left on Gogol’s left eye. The more he touched it, the more his heart softened, and the more he found himself able to forgive the clown.

Even though the other party had been acting excessively just moments before, and even now Yunxi still had the illusion that the other was still inside, occasionally moving…

No.

Yunxi grew cautious.

It wasn’t an illusion!

You’re using your [Overcoat]?! Yunxi’s special ability began to stir, but just as Yunxi raised a hand, it was pressed back down by another hand belonging to Gogol that abruptly appeared.

Then, Gogol slightly rose, stretching his back.

The previously still white hair seemed to gradually come alive, spreading, sliding, and falling like fine, dense seaweed, once again dividing the scenery before Yunxi’s eyes.

Watching this scene, Yunxi’s brain gradually stopped functioning.

Gogol finally revealed a smile.

He reached out, his fingers gradually threading through the black hair Yunxi was pressing beneath her, then lifted his palm, letting the strands slip through his fingers.

His voice was almost a sigh: Little Yunxi, it’s been a long time since we last met.

Seeing those eyes, unusually filled with tranquility and sorrow, Yunxi’s heart completely melted into a puddle.

The next second.

Yunxi: Mmph!

Yunxi desperately wanted to travel back in time and give her forgetful self a good beating, but what was even more infuriating was that Gogol laughed right in front of her.

Yunxi: .

Damn Korya, just wait! She’d make sure Korya waited forever!
