Chapter 56: Don’t Send Things That Sound Like Divorce Papers…

Gogol didn’t understand, nor did he want to understand.

But there was good news – it seemed Gogol’s subconscious had figured something out, as his special ability had grown stronger.

The connection range of his [Overcoat], originally limited to 30 meters, had expanded to 100 meters, and there was no longer any upper limit on how many spaces he could connect at once.

This meant that if Gogol wished, he could plunge all space within a 100-meter radius into complete chaos, directly killing his enemies.

Though he hadn’t reached Transcendent level yet, he absolutely qualified as quasi-Transcendent. With sufficient preparation and precise control, it wasn’t impossible for Gogol to instantly kill even a Transcendent.

But Gogol didn’t want to kill anyone for now, so in the end, he simply took the titanium alloy bird and left Russia, beginning a worldwide search for stones similar to Yunxi’s two earrings.

One had been destroyed when Yunxi protected Little Gogol, while the other had been damaged when the owner of [Rain Imperial] learned the contents of the Book’s page and prevented Yunxi’s revival.

Both were connected to Gogol, who found it impossible to ignore these two earrings like he could ignore the others currently searching for him.

But for now, let’s deal with this thief first.

Gogol looked coldly at the Esper thief begging for mercy at his feet.

Before activating his spatial ability to slice this thief – who dared target the titanium alloy bird – into pieces, Gogol finally said: Little Yunxi would probably want to see the Clown take immediate revenge.

The special ability activated, blood splattered, and the scene fell silent.

In Yunxi’s world, everything proceeded as usual.

Yunxi spent his days idling at home. Fortunately, no one in his family pressured him to work, and the 100,000 yuan his cousin had given him was more than enough for his expenses.

As time passed, Yunxi’s standard of living had actually improved rather than declined. Every morning when he looked in the mirror, his first words became:

Yunxi! You’re living the good life again!

After a week, Yunxi’s father finally returned.

He came directly to Yunxi’s place upon returning, not even bothering to drop off his luggage first.

The man got straight to the point: I heard you’re dating someone. Who is it? Where are they from? What’s their education level? What’s their major? Do they have a job? Can they provide a medical report? And also…

Yunxi first hesitated out of embarrassment to admit it was a lover from a game, then became defensive: Who told you I’m dating someone? Who said that???

The man’s eyes darted around: Well, I can’t tell you that…

The man quickly added: I guessed! I guessed from your recent social media posts!!!

Yunxi: .

But he hadn’t posted anything on social media recently, having been completely absorbed in the game.

His father might be loyal and righteous, but he wasn’t particularly clever.

However, Yunxi didn’t want to admit that the person he liked was a holographic NPC, so he quickly brushed it off. When the time came, he found an excuse and shooed his father away.

The man looked quite reluctant as he was being pushed out, desperately clinging to Yunxi’s door: Xiao Xi, is the person you’re dating really that embarrassing? Can’t you even tell your own father?

Being told your lover is too embarrassing to show off, Yunxi expressionlessly pried the other person’s hand away and mercilessly slammed the door shut with a smack.

Yunxi strode toward the bedroom while muttering to himself, The official version of ‘The Sims: Yokohama’ launches tomorrow, almost there, almost there…

He’d keep dating Clown for now. Once the game released its multiplayer mode, he’d definitely introduce Clown to his family and friends!

With these thoughts, the next day Yunxi encountered the game company’s betrayal.

What do you mean? My account can’t log in? And it’s only my account???

Sitting in the offices of The Sims: Yokohama, Yunxi glared furiously at the staff member assigned to his case: The reason? If you can’t provide one, do I have grounds to suspect your staff stole my account?

The staff member felt guilty but wasn’t lying: It really is a bug, no underhanded operations involved. Not only can’t your Savior account log in, but your Circus Master account also can’t access the game after the reboot.

The technical department found the bug lies with an NPC named Gogol. He’s rejecting your presence, preventing you from entering.

If you’d just started playing, we might quickly fix this bug. But it’s been so long, and with the game being open-world where your save file differs significantly from others’, the company genuinely can’t spare resources to solve this…

Yunxi didn’t want to accept this, but realized continuing to argue was useless.

Thinking about Gogol who rejected players, Yunxi sadly drank the last sip of water from his cup.

Before Yunxi could speak, the staff member offered consolation:

Don’t worry, think about it – that world has become perfect under your influence. Even if you can’t enter, it continues operating smoothly…

Yunxi expressionlessly crumpled the disposable cup into a ball.

Was this supposed to be comfort? This was clearly reminding him his lover might cheat without remorse!!!

That evening, Yunxi’s father had just finished cleaning the table and settled beside his wife to watch TV when he saw a forwarded message from his wife’s cousin on her phone.

The cousin had shared a short video with the caption: [Someone control Yunxi, he’s acting like he’s dying from heartbreak, it’s ridiculous.]

Yunxi’s father curiously reached out to play the video.

You seem like the type of white-haired long-haired man who constantly talks about birds and freedom. At 184cm, you always wear long cloaks, keeping your cane nearby. You love maniacal laughter and many strange pranks, but when in good moods you’ll perform magic for someone you like. You bring them beautiful little birds, then deliberately release them without letting them keep any. One day you finally succeeded in releasing another bird, probably having long forgotten how they once said they’d give up freedom for you. This was Yunxi’s miserable, broken version.

Yunxi’s parents: …

Ahhhh! Damn it! Yunxi seems to have suffered some major setback without their knowledge!!!

Thus Yunxi completed his account creation, without even using The Sims: Yokohama game itself.

There was a reason for this – Yunxi currently harbored endless hatred toward the game’s development company, and he genuinely didn’t want to promote The Sims: Yokohama at all.

Every day he sat in front of the camera with overwhelming sadness, making netizens stifle their laughter while the comment section buzzed with activity.

[Streamer, has your long-haired white-haired guy not returned to the country yet?]

Yunxi replied: [He won’t be coming back.]

[What would happen if you spoke slower?]

Yunxi replied: [I’d choke up.]

[It seemed like the streamer was reminiscing for a moment, then ended up full of hatred again… Perfect, this pure hatred warrior is just right!]

Yunxi replied: [Not reminiscing, just remembering.]

[Streamer, don’t cry after filming, okay? If tears can’t hold anything back, how can they hold onto love?]

Yunxi replied: [Not crying, just my eyeballs leaking.]

Yunxi continued scrolling, finding many probing comments like [What did that white-haired long-haired guy do to hurt you so deeply?], none of which he answered.

But when he spotted a few familiar profile pictures, Yunxi paused again.

There was a comment from his mom: [Who do you even like? Should Mom go snatch him for you? Stop posting things that sound like divorce announcements, Mom’s really scared.]

And a comment from a friend: [Are you talking about that Clown? I’ve seen so many videos of Clown online, all of him solo-killing players. How on earth did you manage to beat him? Can you share some tips?]

Yunxi completely ignored the second half of his friend’s comment. Staring at the words “seen so many videos of Clown online,” he thought about how more and more people would soon learn about Gogol’s story, and reminded himself that this time, he couldn’t just call for his mom whenever things got tough. The thought made him even sadder.

Overcome by sadness, Yunxi inexplicably raised his hand toward the Holographic Pod and murmured, Special ability, [Scales of Fate].

Before the words had fully left his lips, Yunxi heard the familiar sound of the Scales of Fate tilting.

Click……… click…… click…

The intervals between the clicks grew shorter and shorter, as if the scales were tilting faster and faster… Finally, accompanied by a soft sliding sound and a gentle thud, the world fell silent again.

Snapping out of his daze, Yunxi thought of an outrageous possibility.

That sound, like something sliding from one side to the other… Could it be…?!

[Scales of Fate judgment successful!]

[Otherworld loading in progress, establishing connection, adjusting time flow rate… Ratio of time flow between the two worlds has been set to 1:1!]

[You have obtained a permanent pass to the Otherworld! You have regained access to your game interface!]

[(Fireworks)(Fireworks) The official version of The Sims: Yokohama, made just for you, is now open! Welcome back to the Otherworld!]

Meanwhile, Yunxi’s forgotten phone received several messages from the The Sims: Yokohama support team.

[Mr. Yunxi, hello. The login issue you previously reported appears to have been resolved. Would you mind trying to log into the game now?] [10 minutes ago]

[I can see on my end that your game character is currently online, so it looks like the problem is fixed. If you encounter any additional minor bugs, feel free to contact me again.] [Just now]

[The The Sims: Yokohama game company wishes you a pleasant gaming experience! (Hahaha)] [Just now]
