Chapter 54: Chapter 54 (Including 16k Nutrient Solution Bonus Update) ……

An extended silence fell over the Yokohama airport above ground after Sigma’s verbal misstep.

Underground, Dazai Osamu was silently laughing for quite a while, his entire body shaking with suppressed mirth.

Dazai had originally been watching the Armed Detective Agency’s live stream for amusement, but the broadcast had abruptly cut off. Fortunately, Dazai had prepared for this—he quickly summoned a certain Esper from the Port Mafia to use their Special ability to relay the scenes from above so he could continue his laughter.

How utterly amusing! How utterly amusing!

Indeed! As long as he wasn’t standing against Yunxi, this world became incredibly entertaining!

Nakahara Chuuya: .

Nakahara Chuuya really wanted to release his hand from the soil, letting this mackerel realize that his carefree enjoyment came at the cost of others bearing the weight with gravity manipulation.

But glancing at the serious-faced relay Esper and the seemingly relaxed yet ever-vigilant Sakunosuke Oda, Chuuya decided he could endure a little longer.

At this critical moment, he absolutely couldn’t let everything collapse just because of his personal temper.

Nakahara Chuuya murmured: A crisis that could lead to the world’s destruction… It should be coming soon, right?

It indeed arrived.

Am I a bit late? Fyodor’s voice suddenly rang out. He surveyed the chaotic scene before him, then looked down at the fallen Fukuchi Ochi on the ground as he inquired.

The Yokohama residents present: !!!

[The Demon] Fyodor? How did he appear here?

Yunxi: !

No! Not late at all! Yunxi pushed past the others and rushed to Fyodor’s front. The plan just finished now, quickly tell me… uh.

Yunxi paused, asking: Fyodor, are you wearing the wrong clothes?

Fyodor: .

Was that really the main point here?

Fortunately, Gogol stepped in to refocus for Yunxi: Fyodor-kun, the world-ending catastrophe.

Fyodor collected himself: Hmm… Simply explaining this would likely be difficult for Yunxi-kun to comprehend. Perhaps I need to…

Yunxi transformed into the King of Impatience, directly activating [Scales of Fate] to forcibly extract the information from Fyodor’s mind.

Fyodor froze for half a second. By the time he regained his senses, the [Holy Sword] in his hand had already stabbed into Fukuchi Ochi.

Fyodor: …

Fyodor didn’t feel like anything was missing from his mind. Clearly, Yunxi had failed to successfully obtain this crucial intelligence from him.

Well, that worked too. Though the process was absurd, the result was correct. Now, this was his moment.

A peculiar smile graced Fyodor’s face as he stood in place, waiting for the Tripartite Singularity to form, then revealing the back of his hand used to control it.

This is the catastrophe that could destroy the world, Fyodor declared. The [Kami-Hito: Rain Imperial] from a higher dimension. Yunxi-kun, are you satisfied with this answer?

Yunxi: ???

Not only was Yunxi stunned, but underground, Nakahara Chuuya also grew restless.

Hey, Dazai, aren’t we going up yet?

Not time yet, Dazai Osamu maintained contact with everyone present, ensuring all were covered by his [No Longer Human] to avoid being easily affected by the Special ability storm. The world’s destruction can’t be that simple. Let’s wait a bit longer.

Nakahara Chuuya: Tch!

Hey! That’s just unsportsmanlike! Yunxi hastily retreated several steps, ultimately relying on a recently acquired agility-enhancing special ability to successfully evade the deity’s pursuit.

Fyodor didn’t respond, merely controlling the deity to attack again.

Fyodor: You wish to strip me of my ability to control the deity? Are you certain? A rampaging higher-dimensional being would only be more terrifying than one under my control, wouldn’t it?

Yunxi froze for half a second, during which Fyodor immediately manipulated the deity to create an additional projection at maximum speed.

The new projection materialized some distance away from Yunxi. Taking advantage of the distraction, it swiftly eliminated the newly arrived Ookura Teruko, Kunikida Doppo, and others—one slash per person.

Snapping back to reality, Yunxi: ???

Was Fyodor mimicking his earlier threat to the Russian police officers?

Killing, but killing all the wrong targets—just not touching his own side, right?

Since Yunxi wasn’t familiar with those NPCs, he couldn’t even be bothered to intervene in that part of the battle, choosing instead to remain and continue fighting the deity before him.

Nakajima Atsushi rushed over, but was forcibly pushed away by Fukuzawa Yukichi, directed toward Gogol and Sigma.

Master! Watching his master vanish, Nakajima Atsushi had no time to grieve before turning to see the deity, after a brief pause, launch an attack against Yunxi’s allies.

Nakajima Atsushi didn’t consider these people his comrades, but with the situation critical and the enemy of his enemy being a friend, he moved to block the assault.

The deity’s sword halted one meter away from the White Tiger.

The next moment, the deity circumvented the massive White Tiger and resumed its attack on the group.

Nakajima Atsushi: !

The deity seemed to be deliberately avoiding him. Though he didn’t know why, it appeared he could genuinely save these people!

While Nakajima Atsushi was engaged in this battle of wits with the deity…

On the other side, Yunxi grew tense upon noticing the conflict beginning to affect his own side. The operation interface for the Scales of Fate flickered open.

But the situation was too perilous; Yunxi didn’t dare place his undying attribute, 200% enhancement, various special abilities, or resurrection items on the scales.

He was certain that if he attempted it, Fyodor would immediately command the deity to strike him down.

Thus, he had to exchange the minimal cost for the most crucial advantage…

Little Yunxi! The Clown has brought the Beast Beneath the Moonlight to assist!

A snowy white figure suddenly appeared, accompanied by… a lot of the White Tiger’s fur.

Yunxi: ?

Gogol: Little Yunxi, I’ve spoken with the White Tiger youth. All of this was voluntarily given. Hurry and use it!

Yunxi: ???

Yunxi turned in shock to see a White Tiger frantically regenerating new fur.

Gogol seemed to misinterpret Yunxi’s glance as dissatisfaction with the quantity, but before he could activate his Overcoat, Lao Chou abruptly surged forward, swinging his blade to harvest the White Tiger’s newly grown fur.

Lao Chou, reaping like a wheat harvester, gestured for Gogol to quickly transport it to Yunxi: Master Yunxi, this too was all voluntarily given by the White Tiger!

Yunxi: …

Yunxi thought to himself that only someone like Nakajima Atsushi would tolerate this—any other cat would have scratched Lao Chou to shreds by now.

Yunxi still felt it was unlikely that the White Tiger had volunteered willingly, given how utterly despairing and suicidal it appeared—especially when Lao Chou crawled under its belly to shave its fur.

But when Yunxi reached out, he discovered that this fur indeed counted as player property.

Yunxi didn’t understand it, but his confidence returned nonetheless.

Two seconds later, [Scales of Fate] was successfully activated.

Yunxi’s expression shifted strangely for a moment before he started dragging the Divine Being toward Nakajima Atsushi’s direction.

Nakajima Atsushi: ???

Hadn’t he been helping Yunxi all along? Why was Yunxi still trying to mess with him???

What followed was a scene that left everyone in the vast airport baffled, even as a world-level crisis unfolded.

Nakajima Atsushi ran ahead while everyone else chased after him, with Gogol occasionally forcibly teleporting him right in front of the Divine Being to act as a human shield for the group.

If not for the formidable power of [Beast Beneath the Moonlight] and Atsushi’s own resilience, the Divine Being would have successfully struck him down long ago.

But after running for a while longer, Atsushi began to sense something was off.

Was he really this strong?

Was he genuinely evading the Divine Being every time, or was the Divine Being deliberately avoiding him each time?

One avoidance might have been Fyodor’s plan to keep him alive for later, but consistent avoidance, combined with Yunxi’s insistence on making him get hit by the Divine Being… could it be…

Atsushi started wrestling with whether he should let the Divine Being strike him to test the theory.

But before he could resolve to take the gamble, a hand suddenly shot out from underground. The next moment, Atsushi was completely enveloped by a strange black-and-red gravity field.

He was still thinking about it!!!

It was too late. Atsushi’s body was already being manipulated, floating upward uncontrollably before crashing toward the [Divine Being: Rain Imperial].

Underground, the arm that had been touching Dazai Osamu’s briefly released its grip as the special ability [Perfect Defense] activated.

In four seconds, the Divine Being will be torn apart, the expressionless voice stated flatly.

Nakahara Chuuya finally breathed a sigh of relief. It seems all that’s left is to deal with [The Demon]. This is simpler than I expected.

[The Demon] appeared to possess the ability to resurrect through others, but it shouldn’t be a major issue—they could simply use [No Longer Human] to nullify his special ability first.

Dazai’s expression, however, turned serious. Something’s wrong…

BOOM!!!

Above them, the Earth that had been maintained intact by Chuuya’s gravity control showed the first signs of collapse.

Chuuya prepared to amplify his special ability output, but Dazai cut in directly, Don’t bother. We need to go up now.

Something must have already gone wrong up there!

Four seconds earlier.

The moment Nakajima Atsushi realized being stabbed by the sword had merely transported him to another dimension, he understood what needed to be done.

He possessed a powerful strength that wouldn’t be lost in higher-dimensional spaces. He would defeat the [Divine Being: Rain Imperial] in this dimension and bring back those it had killed.

Atsushi pressed forward, pushing open the final door to stand before the creator of [Rain Imperial].

Ueda Akinari, both the creator of [Rain Imperial] and a prisoner here, said, Killing me is the only way to stop the Divine Being’s slaughter.

I won’t kill you, Atsushi declared. I’ll save my companions myself.

Ueda Akinari: It’s useless. The precognition of [Rain Imperial] originates from me. Having stayed here for so long, I know everything has long been predetermined. All your actions are merely part of perpetuating this fate…

Nakajima Atsushi had already seized Ueda Akinari and launched an attack against this higher-dimensional space. The claws of [Beast Beneath the Moonlight] successfully tore open a massive rift, their ability to shred special abilities functioning steadily.

Due to the difference in dimensions, when Nakajima Atsushi brought Ueda Akinari back, only four seconds had passed in this world. Things hadn’t yet developed to the worst possible outcome.

Nakajima Atsushi barely managed to relax half a breath, but just as he assumed an offensive stance toward the deity, Ueda Akinari used [Moon Imperial]—the twin blade to [Rain Imperial] that holds absolute power over life and death—to pierce through Yunxi’s chest.

Everyone present froze instantly, even Fyodor showing a flicker of astonishment.

Gogol: Yunxi!

Gogol’s spatial teleportation ability activated immediately, but it had no effect on [Moon Imperial].

Ueda Akinari: Young man, as thanks for freeing me from that prison, this is my gift to you.

Nakajima Atsushi anxiously: I… He never asked for this!

Ueda Akinari continued, turning his gaze to Yunxi: This world should not harbor beings untouched by death. As the origin of all this, the existence that caused everything…

Please, fall into eternal slumber.

Yunxi remained silent. He observed his steadily declining health—irrecoverable by any means—and the [Disabled] status of his Undying Attribute on the panel. Unwilling to accept this, he attempted [Sacrifice] once more.

The next moment, the power of [Moon Imperial] in Ueda Akinari’s hand surged toward Yunxi. Not only did Yunxi fail to activate resurrection, but his right earring—one of the few sacrificial items he had placed externally—shattered instantly.

Damn it! Now both of his only two earrings were destroyed! These were the first gifts Gogol had proactively prepared for the player!

Yunxi was genuinely enraged now. He couldn’t be bothered to try again and simply glared at Nakajima Atsushi: Man-Tiger, did you do this on purpose?

Nakajima Atsushi’s expression, originally anxious and bewildered, instantly shifted to I’m innocent, it really wasn’t me!

Yunxi no longer wanted to waste time with Nakajima Atsushi. As everyone around him erupted into action, figures surged from underground, all focused on his survival, Yunxi lifted his eyes and directly used his special ability on the incomplete deity.

Using all my possessions, including my current life, in exchange for the deity’s full power.

In this critical moment, Yunxi became exceptionally calm: [Scales of Fate], I know you won’t harm me. Now, activate.

To think things had come to this for some lousy Identity Plate mission. This game wasn’t worth continuing anymore.

He’d seize the power of [Deity: Rain Imperial], complete the world salvation directly, then return for revenge when the official version of The Sims: Yokohama launched.

[Selected player’s life #@》… Warning! This counterweight exceeds capacity! Cannot be weighed in low-dimensional world… Warning! Bug detected, repairing bug…]

[Detected that Scales of Fate is a skill awakened by the player themselves, unaffected by dimensions. Bug fixed successfully…]

[Scales of Fate is making a judgment… Judgment successful!]

[Player’s combat power refreshing… Combat power: ???]

[Player has died! Detected that the Undying Attribute was in disabled state at time of death. Your current simulated life has ended!]
