“Damn it!” At the hotel, Liang Weiren nearly passed out. He pulled the blanket over himself and punched the pillow repeatedly. “Damn it, damn it, damn it!”

“Su Xiaoxiao, why the hell did you confess? That diary obviously wasn’t written by you! Are you out of your mind?”

“Ahhh, it’s over, it’s over, I’m a joke!”

“Ughhh…”

“Whimper…”

Zhang Sheng was completely dumbfounded by what he just witnessed. What the hell? Why did Su Xiaoxiao confess? Is she insane?

Ring, ring. The phone on the table rang. He didn’t even have to check, no doubt it was Director Wu Hong calling to rant. He didn’t dare ignore it, so he pressed the answer button and held the phone at a distance.

“Hello? Zhang Sheng, what the hell are you guys doing? Why did Su Xiaoxiao confess? This wasn’t in the script you gave me!”

“Goddamn it! Everyone’s dead, and only Chen Shu, the real culprit, is still alive and well? Do you have any idea how much pressure I’m under? The broadcasting bureau even contacted me today, telling me to be mindful of the content!”

“I confidently assured them that this episode wouldn’t have a ‘perfect crime’ and that we’d definitely catch the culprit. And now you show me this? Do you even want to keep your job as a director?”

Wu Hong ranted nonstop until he was out of breath. What had just happened in the live broadcast had seriously spiked his blood pressure. Zhang Sheng felt wronged.

“Director, I know you’re anxious, but please don’t panic yet. Just keep watching. Maybe something unexpected will happen. After all, the investigation team isn’t useless…”

Even as he spoke, his voice lacked confidence.

“Thank god we still have ten days left in the show,” Wu Hong muttered, trying to console himself before hanging up.

Meanwhile, the internet was in chaos. Su Xiaoxiao’s confession hit like a bomb, sending shockwaves across the web. Everyone was baffled.

Why did Su Xiaoxiao confess?

As the person involved, she knew that the diary wasn’t written by her. All she had to do was request a handwriting analysis, and the investigation team would definitely grant it.

That was the key to clearing her name and bringing Chen Shu to justice!

Just as the internet buzzed with speculation, a self-proclaimed psychology expert posted his analysis online.

“Why did Su Xiaoxiao confess? One key reason is that Chen Shu completely manipulated her psychologically. This incident shows that Chen Shu isn’t just a high-IQ criminal, he also has deep knowledge of psychology.

He willingly handed over the diary not just because he knew he couldn’t hide it anymore, but also because he knew his sister wouldn’t betray him. After all, as her brother, he had done so much for her even at the risk of breaking the law and putting his own life in danger!

This is how he controlled Su Xiaoxiao.

When she realized that her brother was abandoning her to save himself, she chose to sacrifice herself for him. Of course, this was only possible because she was too deep into the role. But that’s not surprising, actors often struggle to detach themselves from a role.

So, there’s no need to be shocked. From a psychological perspective, this is completely normal. Think about it, if you knew your son had committed a crime and the police suspected you first, would you personally send him to jail?

Most people wouldn’t. They’d instinctively try to take the blame.

That’s family love. And that’s also Chen Shu’s skill, he made Su Xiaoxiao unconsciously rely on him, trust him, and see him as the most important person in her life.”

The video went viral instantly, netizens overwhelmingly agreed with this explanation. After all, they had seen it. They had seen Su Xiaoxiao standing at the door with an umbrella, waiting for Chen Shu in the rain. They had seen her sitting in her pajamas, eating breakfast in front of him without a care in the world.

In just a short time, during the course of this reality show, Chen Shu had made Su Xiaoxiao more dependent on him than on her real brother, and he used that family bond to fill the final gap and complete the perfect crime.

“Chen Shu’s execution? I’d give it an 8.4 out of 10 because he still has a 1.6 left to go.”

“Damn, Chen Shu’s brainwashing is insane. He made Su Xiaoxiao fully believe she was his real sister.”

“At this moment, I wonder how the director is feeling, haha.”

“I never realized that a ‘perfect crime’ isn’t just about the method, it’s also about psychological manipulation.”

“This is Chen Shu, the ultimate crime genius!”

“Everyone, stand up and salute!”

In the interrogation room, hearing Su Xiaoxiao’s confession, the investigation team finally sighed in relief. Their nerves, which had been on edge, finally settled.

“Su Xiaoxiao, I’ll ask you again. Did you use the diary to lure your father into committing murder?” Wang Zheng closed the diary and repeated the question. It was almost as if he was showing off to the audience. After all, in just five days, they had secured their victory. This achievement was worth remembering.

Su Xiaoxiao nodded. “I confess.”

Then Su Haoran asked, “You hated your father because of his twisted, perverted feelings toward you because he wanted to violate you. That was your motive for framing him, correct?”

Su Xiaoxiao nodded again. “Yes.”

Qin Min followed up, “Su Xiaoxiao, you orchestrated this murder case. You will be sentenced to death. Your father, as an accomplice, will likely receive life in prison. Are you willing to take legal responsibility for your statements?”

Su Xiaoxiao took a deep breath. “In conclusion, I take full responsibi—”

Suddenly, before she could finish speaking…

Bang bang bang! Urgent knocking sounded from outside the interrogation room, interrupting her. Creak. The door opened, and a police officer peeked in. “Captain Wang.”

“What’s so urgent? Can’t it wait? I’m in the middle of sentencing!” Wang Zheng snapped.

The officer hurriedly replied, “Captain Wang, Chen Shu is here.”

“What does he want?” Wang Zheng frowned.

Qin Min guessed, “Maybe he wants to see his sister one last time.”

“Hmm,” Su Haoran nodded. “They are siblings, after all. With something like this happening in their family, it must be hard to accept.”

“No, that’s not it,” the officer shook his head. “He came rushing in and said that although he helped us find the diary… he now suspects that the diary wasn’t written by his sister. He’s demanding a handwriting analysis to prove her innocence.”
