I will put on his baseball cap to cover my face after killing him, wipe the blood off his body, disguise him as a drunk who passed out, and hail a taxi with him on my back. Once in the car, I’ll instruct the driver to head to an area without surveillance and dispose of the body.

If the body is discovered, the police will only suspect the residents near the alley. Since the cameras won’t capture me entering the alley, only me leaving with him and getting into a taxi, they’ll assume I live nearby.

The latter part of the diary simulates various ways to escape the crime scene, there are about thirty different plans. The livestream viewers are horrified, only now do they realize how meticulously Chen Shu prepared for this crime. After all, he wasn’t a god, he couldn’t have predicted where Liang Wei would drag the suitcase. So, he accounted for every possible location. He simulated everything and taught it all to Zeng Zhiwei.

“People say crime requires talent. Now I believe it.”

“I thought Chen Shu only taught Zeng Zhiwei how to kill. I didn’t expect he would also instruct him on how to escape.”

“Guys, screenshot this and save it. This is a step-by-step guide, who knows, it might come in handy someday!”

Finally, as Wang Zheng flips the pages, he reaches the last entry. It details the escape plan that netizens have long known and named ‘Fleeing Down the River.’

Lastly, I considered that Liang Wei might take me to a bridge underpass, since those areas lack surveillance. As a fugitive, it’s likely he’d hide there. But with so many bridges in Haicheng, I can’t predict which one.

However, where there’s a bridge, there’s water. Where there’s water, there’s an escape route. I’ll use the suitcase as a flotation device and drift downstream. Since Haicheng’s rivers form a circular loop, as long as I follow the current, I’ll eventually float back to the western outskirts.

Once I return to the western outskirts, I must abandon the suitcase, it’s crucial evidence and must never fall into police hands. I’ll sink it to the riverbed.

In the interrogation room, reading this, the trio exchanges glances. They had already deduced this escape plan the day Liang Wei’s body was found so, they weren’t too surprised.

“Su Xiaoxiao!” Wang Zheng’s voice suddenly echoes in the cramped room, startling Su Xiaoxiao, who is already dazed. “This diary belongs to you, and every word in it was written by your hand. It was you who manipulated your father’s twisted love for you, luring him into killing Liang Wei. It was you who taught him how to kill and how to escape.”

“The evidence is undeniable. What do you have to say for yourself?”

Su Xiaoxiao snaps back to reality, still confused. But she understands one thing, someone is framing her! But who? Who wants to destroy her?

Suddenly… Su Xiaoxiao notices a line at the end of the diary. It seems to have been added later, something she previously overlooked.

Liang Wei’s phone: 152XXXXXXXX

It’s his contact number! Su Xiaoxiao’s eyes widened. To the trio, this detail seems unremarkable. From their perspective, it makes sense for her to have Liang Wei’s number; she was kidnapped by him, after all.

They might assume she memorized it during the kidnapping or that he contacted her first, threatening her. But Su Xiaoxiao knows the truth. She never had the chance to get Liang Wei’s number. Only one person did…

Her brother.

After Liu Liang was accidentally killed by her, it was her brother who handled the body and took his phone. That was when he must have secretly noted Liang Wei’s number. Which means… her brother is the one framing her?!

Su Xiaoxiao’s body goes limp, collapsing onto the chair. The brother who broke the law to clear her name. The brother who risked his life to stop Liang Wei from hurting her…

It was him?!

A sharp pain grips Su Xiaoxiao’s chest. Already deeply immersed in this act, tears shimmer in her eyes. A sadness she can’t escape. Moments later, under the camera’s gaze, two tears rolled down her cheeks.

“She knows now. Su Xiaoxiao knows it was Chen Shu.”

“Ahhh, Xiaoxiao, don’t cry! It’s okay, just prove the handwriting isn’t yours and drag Chen Shu down with you!”

“This is heartbreaking. She just realized her own brother is trying to get rid of her. Anyone would break down. But damn, her acting is top-tier. She’s completely in character.”

“Chen Shu: I just wanted to say goodbye to the past. Is that so wrong? Everyone must die!”

Moments later, Su Xiaoxiao pieces it all together. When Chen Shu first presented the diary, she had doubts but didn’t dwell on them. She never considered that her brother would betray her.

But now, it all makes sense.

Everything he did was to clear himself of all crimes. He wanted to walk away unscathed. They may have dodged trouble in Liu Liang’s case for now, but as long as Liang Wei was alive, the case could be reopened.

So, her brother used their father to kill him, and as long as she was alive, she was also a loose end. So, he decided to abandon her.

Once their father died, once Liang Wei died, once she died… there would be no one left to accuse him.

She understands now, Su Xiaoxiao finally understands!

“Su Xiaoxiao, do you confess?” Wang Zheng stands up, pressing her for an answer.

“Xiaoxiao, hurry! Prove the handwriting isn’t yours, it’s your only way to survive!”

“Drag Chen Shu down with you. I can’t bear to see you cry, sob sob.”

“Chen Shu’s plan was airtight, but handwriting analysis is the only way to expose him! Su Xiaoxiao, act now, he finally made a mistake!”

At the director’s room, Zhang Sheng clenches his fists. “Come on, Su Xiaoxiao! The chance to take Chen Shu down is right in front of you. Make him rot in prison!”

In a hotel room, Liang Wei grips his phone. “Damn it, Su Xiaoxiao, why are you just sitting there?! If Chen Shu doesn’t go down, I’ll be the fool again! Make sure he suffers too!”

“Deny it! Demand a handwriting analysis!”

Su Xiaoxiao wipes her tears, she forces a smile. In the end, this was all her fault. It was her mistake in killing Liu Liang that dragged her brother into this storm. That led to Liang Wei getting involved. Everything happening now, it was all because of her.

Her brother wasn’t wrong. None of this should have involved him in the first place.

“Su Xiaoxiao, do you confess?”

“Stop playing dumb!” Wang Zheng slams the table, pressing her again. At that moment, Su Xiaoxiao lifts her head as if making a major decision.

She opens her mouth and says, “I, Su Xiaoxiao, confess.”
