At the city police department, in the criminal investigation office, the Iron Trio carefully reconstructed the details of Liang Wei’s death.

Suddenly, the entire livestream chat exploded.

“This is insane! Even though the Iron Trio mistakenly thinks Chen Shu is the killer, their reasoning is spot on. They figured out everything we couldn’t see!”

“If we’re talking about impressive minds, Zeng Zhiwei takes the crown! The way he pulled this off is absolutely next level!”

“No wonder he’s a veteran actor known for playing criminals in Hong Kong films. He’s got some real skills!”

“Liang Wei, you didn’t die in vain!”

“I was here for Chen Shu, but he barely did anything. I was about to drop this show, but now, Zeng Zhiwei has completely reignited my interest!”

As the details of the crime were reconstructed, the internet was buzzing with admiration for Zeng Zhiwei’s execution. A dedicated fan of the show, known as “Inescapable Justice,” even created an animated simulation of Zeng Zhiwei’s crime, drawing mass attention online.

In the animation, viewers could see Zeng Zhiwei making a phone call to Liang Wei. Using his son’s corpse as bait, he lured Liang Wei to a remote location. In reality, Zeng Zhiwei had hidden himself inside a suitcase, pretending to be the corpse. Since no surveillance cameras captured this, Liang Wei unknowingly brought him under a bridge.

The moment Liang Wei opened the suitcase, Zeng Zhiwei struck, stabbing him fatally. Afterward, he jumped into the river and swam along an unmonitored path to the western outskirts, avoiding all surveillance cameras.

“He’s a genius! The Iron Trio’s explanation was good, but this animation makes it crystal clear!”

“That was a huge risk. If Liang Wei had noticed something was off, Zeng Zhiwei could have been the one to die!”

“Unbelievable! He created a perfect alibi under surveillance!”

“In the last episode, Chen Shu manipulated time to create an alibi because his neighborhood lacked cameras. But Zeng Zhiwei? He committed murder while under surveillance and still disappeared without a trace!”

As discussions raged online, topics related to the show quickly hit the trending list.

In the director’s room, Zhang Sheng gave a thumbs-up. “Zeng Zhiwei, I knew bringing you on was the right choice! You’re leagues ahead of that boastful Liang Wei!”

Zhang Sheng was thrilled. Liang Wei’s death had initially made him nervous, worrying it would hurt the show’s appeal. After all, his role was to kill Su Xiaoxiao and locate the body, plot points that kept audiences hooked.

But now, Zeng Zhiwei has stepped in. His execution of the crime captivated viewers, shifting all attention back to the show. Now, the focus would be on how the Iron Trio unraveled the mystery and caught Zeng Zhiwei.

Of course, their main problem was that they still suspected Chen Shu. But Zhang Sheng was confident. With their investigative skills, it wouldn’t take long for them to realize their mistake.

After all, Chen Shu was only meant to draw in viewers for the premiere. He had nothing to do with this case. He wasn’t involved in Liang Wei’s murder at all. Even if the detectives wrongly accused him at first, it wouldn’t take long for them to clear him and shift their attention to Zeng Zhiwei.

The battle between the criminal and the Iron Trio had officially begun!

At that moment, back in the criminal investigation office, the Iron Trio continued their analysis.

“You’re right. Only the corpse of Liang Wei’s son could have made him rush to the western outskirts without hesitation.”

“But…” Qin Min was shocked by the murder method but couldn’t wrap his head around one key detail. “Why would Chen Shu kill Liang Wei?”

Silence fell over the group. Suddenly, Su Haoran spoke up. “Captain Wang, are we suspecting the wrong person? Chen Shu had no reason to kill Liang Wei. He had to know that doing so would make him the prime suspect, which would only bring trouble for himself.”

Su Haoran’s logic was solid. They had no clear motive for Chen Shu to commit the murder. Which meant… The real killer might be someone else!

“Looks like they finally realized they got the wrong guy!”

“The Iron Trio is sharp! Now that they know Chen Shu had no motive, they should be able to shift their suspicion to Zeng Zhiwei!”

“Let’s see how Zeng Zhiwei counters this!”

“Damn, too bad for Chen Shu. Zeng Zhiwei is completely stealing the show!”

Captain Wang nodded. “You’re right. Chen Shu doesn’t have a clear motive in this case.”

But then he added, “However, he was the only one who knew where the body was. He was also the only person who could have lured Liang Wei to the outskirts.”

“In other words, if someone else had randomly called Liang Wei about the body, he wouldn’t have believed them. So, even if Chen Shu didn’t do it, the real killer must have had some connection to him, otherwise, Liang Wei wouldn’t have trusted them.”

His eyes suddenly lit up. “Wait! Liang Wei spoke to the killer over the phone last night!”

“Qin Min, did you find Liang Wei’s phone at the crime scene?”

Qin Min shook his head. “No, the killer took it.”

“That’s fine,” Wang said. “Even though the phone is gone, we still know Liang Wei’s number. Let’s head to the tech department and pull up his call records from last night. Once we find out who he spoke to, we’ll know who the real killer is!”

They had found the weak link. In this day and age, phone numbers are all registered under real identities. Since the killer made the call, their identity would soon be revealed!
