Inside a black car, Liang Wei held a dagger in one hand, pressing it against Su Xiaoxiao’s neck, while the other hand gripped the steering wheel.

The engine roared as the car sped through the streets. He didn’t kill Su Xiaoxiao immediately because, according to the mission requirements of this episode, he still had to find out the whereabouts of Liu Liang’s body.

So, the best way for him was to control Su Xiaoxiao first, then, use her to threaten Chen Shu!

“You… who are you? What do you want to do to me?” Su Xiaoxiao trembled, her voice full of fear.

“Don’t play dumb with me! My son was killed because of you! You and your brother covered up the crime, making it impossible for the police to do anything. Since the law won’t help me, I’ll take revenge my own way!” Liang Wei roared, his expression twisted with rage.

The dagger in his hand pressed closer to Su Xiaoxiao’s neck, making her burst into tears.

“It… it wasn’t me!” Su Xiaoxiao desperately waved her hands, trying to make the terrifying man stop.

“Not you? Still lying?” Liang Wei pushed the dagger against her skin. The cold blade made her face turn pale with fear. “I’ll ask you one more time. Was it you or not?”

“Yes, yes, yes!” Su Xiaoxiao didn’t dare to deny it anymore.

“Hmph, your confession means nothing. Your brother has to admit it too.” Liang Wei knew Su Xiaoxiao had turned herself in before, but without evidence, Chen Shu managed to clear her name. But this time, he wouldn’t make that mistake!

“Call your brother.” Liang Wei shoved a phone into her hands. “Tell him to meet me tonight.”

Su Xiaoxiao shivered as she dialed Chen Shu’s number, but after a long wait, no one answered.

“What’s going on?” Liang Wei snapped.

“He didn’t pick up… he’s probably busy…”

“Busy? I saw him drop you off at school with my own eyes! What the hell is he doing? Call again! If he doesn’t answer, I’ll chop your hand off first!”

Liang Wei was the perfect image of a grieving father, deranged, furious, and terrifying.

“I have to say, the actor is incredible. If I were kidnapped by him, I’d be scared to death.”

“Chen Shu is in big trouble. The show didn’t assign him a crime, so he has no reason to commit one. But if Liang Wei forces him to confess, he’ll get arrested.”

“Wait, where the hell is Zeng Zhiwei? He was supposed to protect Su Xiaoxiao! I bet he was too busy thinking of ways to take advantage of her. It’s only the first day, and she’s already about to get killed.”

“If Su Xiaoxiao dies and Liang Wei finds the body, even if he gets caught, he still wins this crime battle.”

In Liang Wei’s live stream, viewers were discussing heatedly, but suddenly, a flood of new viewers rushed in, shouting.

“Stop watching here! Go to Chen Shu’s livestream, he’s planning to rescue Su Xiaoxiao alone!”

“I thought he’d go home and find Zeng Zhiwei first. This whole thing technically has nothing to do with him, so he could just give up, and no one would blame him. But he’s actually making a move!”

“Hurry! Holy crap, I can’t believe what I’m seeing!”

Dozens of messages filled the chat. Curious, a large number of viewers left Liang Wei’s stream to watch Chen Shu’s first-person perspective.

At the school gate, Chen Shu watched as the black car disappeared into the distance. But he didn’t just stand there. He knew that the man in the cap was Liu Liang’s father.

And he realized something important. As long as Su Xiaoxiao was in Liu Liang’s father’s hands, he could use her to threaten him.

According to the show’s storyline, Chen Shu’s character was an overprotective brother who couldn’t bear to see his sister suffer. That meant if Liu Liang’s father threatened to kill her unless he confessed… it would be over for him!

Chen Shu knew the director had given him a minor role this season. They wanted to use Liu Liang’s father to undo the impact of his perfect crime from last episode. If Su Xiaoxiao remained a hostage, it would mean the end of his game!

Damn it!

Chen Shu cursed director Zhang Sheng in his heart. These bastards would do anything to get him caught! First, they sidelined him, and now they pulled this stunt?

No way. He couldn’t leave the show like this. He had to keep playing his perfect crime for the full fifteen days. “Su Xiaoxiao can’t fall into Liu Liang’s father’s hands.” Chen Shu made his decision!

Without hesitation, he ran to a parked Volkswagen by the street. He tried the door handle, it’s locked. Instantly, memories of car theft techniques flooded his mind.

As millions of viewers watched curiously, he pulled a thin metal strip from his belt. Sliding it into the rubber seal at the base of the window, he moved it slowly, carefully, feeling for the lock mechanism.

His movements were precise, like performing delicate surgery. Soon, he felt the lock, without hesitation, he pressed the strip against the end of the lock rod and pushed down hard.

Click.

The door opened! Viewers in the live stream were completely stunned.

“Wait, what the hell is he doing?!”

“What do you think? He’s obviously stealing the car to chase Liang Wei. But damn, he’s way too good at this!”

“This guy isn’t acting! I swear, check his background, this is way too real!”

“Okay, but how does he plan to drive? He doesn’t have the car keys!”

“Yeah, what kind of idiot leaves their keys inside the car?”

The show’s main broadcast room was split into four screens. Most viewers preferred watching the whole picture. So, the main broadcast room usually had ten times the audience of the individual first-person streams.

But now, with Chen Shu’s unexpected move, viewers started leaving the main room, flooding into his live stream instead. They wanted to see his car theft skills firsthand!

Very quickly, Chen Shu’s stream hit 50 million viewers.

Inside the director’s control room, Zhang Sheng was in shock. He had expected Liang Wei to kidnap Su Xiaoxiao, that was all part of the script. But Chen Shu’s actions were completely out of control!

“What the hell is he doing?!” Zhang Sheng swallowed hard, eyes wide. According to the script, Liang Wei would use Su Xiaoxiao’s life to force Chen Shu to confess and turn himself in. This was supposed to undo his perfect crime from the last episode!

Of course, Zhang Sheng hadn’t told Chen Shu about this in advance. He thought if he assigned Chen Shu a minor role, he would quietly accept getting caught. But he didn’t expect him to fight back?!

Now he was stealing a car to chase Liang Wei, trying to take Su Xiaoxiao back!

What kind of joke was this?!

Even if he got the door open, without a key, how could he start the car?!
