An Ran, holding the baby, watches Tang Siluo endlessly pestering Luo Feifan. She walks over to the truck and relays what Luo Feifan wants Yun Tao to know. Then she looks at Little Mint, who is already asleep, her cheeks flushed but her breathing steady, with no veins bulging on her neck.
An Ran feels relieved and heads to the medical vehicle behind to tell Zhao Ru and Liang Ziyu about Zhan Lian’s plan.
Zhao Ru nods, jumps down from the co-pilot seat, and says to An Ran, “I was just about to tell you the same. We shouldn’t just lift the truck to the front—we should also lift the medical vehicle. It’ll be helpful to have it with us when we head north.”
As they talk, Liang Ziyu and several others get out of the vehicle. A few ability users discuss the matter with Yun Tao and decide to focus on moving the truck to the front first, then come back to lift the medical vehicle. The truck and medical vehicle are both very heavy, and Yun Tao can barely move them on his own. The speed is slow.

Suddenly, a human-shaped, copper-skinned zombie jumps out from the thick smoke. It opens its mouth wide and spits out a long tongue, like a frog’s, which rolls up a survivor some distance away and drags him back into the smoke.
An Ran stares with wide eyes and runs toward the front of the team.
What kind of monster is this? Has the copper-skinned zombie evolved a sense of taste? How else could it have such a long tongue?!
Turning around, a survivor next to her suddenly shoves her. An Ran reflexively spins to avoid the push. Just then, as she rounds a car, two men lunge at her and Doll.
