Zhan Lian hurries up the watchtower, takes Doll from An Ran’s arms, and runs downstairs with her.

His strong, thick hands hold the dozing baby tightly as he leads An Ran down the tower. On the flat ground, a group of people is already packed up.

Yun Tao, Little Mint, and Heng Heng are already on the truck. Liang Ziyu has climbed onto the medical car, and Zhao Qianrong is being carried onto a vehicle by Zhao Ru.

Several ability users still enjoying their bath mutter reluctantly, but seeing the number of mutant rats, they have no choice but to get in.

Luo Feifan has found a jeep somewhere.

Only when they near the highway toward Xiangcheng does some movement finally appear.

“Will you die if you don’t keep doing this over and over?” Luo Feifan grits out, driving for his life. Along the way, he throws fireballs to fend off the copper-skinned zombies.

The copper-skinned zombies fear nothing except fire. Once exposed, their copper skin melts.

But not all of them die from the flames. These zombies are different from before—some emerge from the fire, their copper skin quickly solidifying, becoming even tougher and nearly indestructible.
