“Doesn’t Yang Buqi have a sealing box?” Xu Turan gestured to him. “What I was thinking earlier was, doesn’t that sealing box need the assistance of several Pyre level powers? So if we bring the sealing box in here, absorb the one inside—and if possible, get a few more. Then lure the adult version outside into these time fragments, and use the enhanced sealing box to deal with it…”

Wouldn’t that put everything to good use?

“This is an evil god we summoned with our own abilities,” Xu Turan argued. “Why can’t we make full use of it?”

Pu Han: ……

Alright, this train of thought he really hadn’t guessed.

What’s more terrifying was that after pondering for a while, Pu Han realized—this method might actually be feasible.

However, soon, a new problem surfaced.

Now they were all in the time fragment, and the only one who could go get the sealing box was Yang Buqi, who was still outside.

And Yang Buqi, this landlubber, might not be able to enter this “deep water area.”

“Be confident, remove the ‘might’,” Pu Han wrote and drew on the rules paper, sighing. “I’ve asked, he’s been wandering around outside since just now… He can’t even see the interface point.”

Xu Turan: “But I remember he could see some time projections?”

“He can only see the very surface layer,” Pu Han sighed. “This guy, in a sense, is also abnormally strong.”

In other domains, this kind of strength would be very useful, but now, it only made Pu Han want to beat him up.

“Calm down, calm down, calm down, think about it carefully…”

Xu Turan pondered for a while and came up with a new idea:

“If he can’t come in, can we go find him?”

Pu Han: …?

“But the time fragments here are in random order, and they’re all moving around like duckweed, with entrances appearing and disappearing,” Pu Han said. “Once we leave here, we might not be able to come back in.”

And after coming in, time in this fragment would start cycling from the beginning again, the people and objects inside would refresh. They might not have the chance to summon No. 71 again.

“I know. So what I’m thinking is, we don’t leave the time fragment, but go find Yang Buqi at the same time…” Xu Turan knocked on her own skull, trying to make her description more understandable.

“You said earlier that these time fragments are like water. You’re in deep water, I’m in shallow water, and Yang Buqi is on the shore. But the shore and the water are ultimately very close… Maybe we can let him get infinitely close to that interface…”

…!

Pu Han understood, and spoke instinctively, his voice overlapping with Xu Turan’s:

“I get it, then we’ll bring the young No. 71 over to rendezvous with him!”

“Then see if we can make a wave to directly slap him down, forcibly drag him into the water…”

Their voices rang out together and ended together. After a few seconds of silence, Xu Turan nodded nonchalantly:

“Mm, right, exactly, that’s what I was just thinking. Rendezvous, sounds good, let’s go with that.”

Pu Han: …

Come on, I heard what you just said.

Xu Turan coughed, pretending not to see Pu Han’s subtle gaze:

“Alright, so we have a general idea. The next thing to consider is where to have Yang Buqi wait, and how we should rendezvous with him…”

This kind of thing was beyond her understanding. Pu Han, however, nodded.

“That’s not difficult,” he said. “These time fragments, although they’re in a state of disordered drift now, some are still connected to each other, like those sea otters that hold hands while sleeping… Yang Buqi, just have him wait in the game room. That’s one of the places most likely to connect with the space-time fragments.”

And as an omniscient being, when in a relatively good state, he could directly “read” the connections between fragments and fragments, fragments and reality. It wouldn’t be difficult to plan a rendezvous route based on this.

“However, how to lure No. 71 over there is a problem,” Pu Han said, looking into the room by the firelight—the room had completely darkened by now, with several corpses faintly visible floating in the air. The young No. 71 itself seemed to have fallen into some strange agitation, constantly swimming back and forth in the room, its tail hitting the walls, making a harsh noise.

The current Haunted House No. 71 was very averse to open flames. If they wanted to lure it, they definitely couldn’t carry fire—and this also meant that with one careless move, they would be devoured by it.

“…Then you’d better not go later,” Xu Turan pondered briefly and made a decision. “You hide nearby, I’ll lure it away myself.”

She had the speed bonus provided by the Mad Rabbit quality, giving her an advantage in running away. If things really got bad, she could still use her skills to buy time and gain a chance to catch her breath—if she brought along the sickly Pu Han, she would be less secure.

Pu Han nodded in agreement, showing self-awareness, then immediately frowned: “But in that case, how should I give you path hints?”

If Xu Turan relied solely on her own memory to navigate, it would be easy to make mistakes in a hurry; using the rules paper for guidance wasn’t very convenient either…

“Indeed,” Xu Turan nodded pensively. “The rules papers are all pasted on the doors, and you’d have to turn your head to read them, which could easily lead to missing information while running. If there was a way to display the information directly in front, and update it in real-time, that would…”

Before she finished speaking, she seemed to think of something, her gaze turning to her diagonal front.

The Planchette Pen had slipped out of her pocket at some point and was floating while spacing out. Noticing her gaze, it instinctively capped itself tightly.

What do you want to do?

Seemingly unaware of its defensiveness, Xu Turan just quietly looked at it. After a moment, she suddenly smiled gently.

“You once said you were more useful than I thought,” she said to the Planchette Pen, her face showing rare friendliness. “Come on, now is the time to prove you’re more useful.”

Planchette Pen: …

??!!!

Five minutes later.

【Turn right at the intersection ahead.】

【Along the current road, run 50 steps then enter the door on the right.】

【Right side, right side… Ah, you ran past it again!】

【Didn’t I write 50 steps?!! Are you blind?!】

The red characters in front kept changing, making Xu Turan’s brow twitch.

In front of her were constantly updating red characters, behind her was a tsunami-like pursuit of black silk threads and yellow eyeballs—she really wanted to ask the omniscience Planchette Pen, in this situation, if it were you, could you count clearly how many steps you’ve run??

Unfortunately, now was not the time to berate others, maintaining breathing rhythm was important. Xu Turan closed her eyes briefly, only squeezing out a sentence through gritted teeth: “Recalculate the route.”

Planchette Pen: …

【The problem is this is a one-way street???】

The consecutive messy question marks at the end of the sentence showed its inner collapse.

Xu Turan: …

Alright then.

With a sudden stop, she turned and kicked at the layers of black silk rushing towards her. Taking advantage of their momentary stiffness, she quickly lit the lighter in her hand and swagger through the gaps in the black threads behind her—as the light approached, the black silk threads that were originally bundled together even actively scattered outwards.

The not-yet-fully-formed liquid ray shrank within the encirclement of black threads, its turbid yellow eyes fixed on Xu Turan passing in front, full of agitation and malice.
