The three people in the room looked at each other, and finally Pu Han sighed, taking back the paper: “Forget it, give me a pen. I’ll write down what I’ve seen, maybe the rules can be generated faster… But you guys better keep an eye on me, if my state is off, wake me up immediately.”

Xu Turan found a pen for him and casually said: “Doesn’t Feifei usually hit you?”

“It hurts her to hit me too,” Pu Han said righteously as he turned to lie on the desk and began to input content onto the rule paper.

Xu Turan then opened a drawer and took out two bundles of silver-colored paper, unwrapping them one by one.

Noticing Yang Buqi’s puzzled gaze, she volunteered an explanation: “Some supernatural items are more useful, I usually don’t put them outside.”

Like that Mirror of Chaos, and the Ghost-Seeing Polaroid she had kept until now.

However, now they needed to deepen the domain master’s confusion as much as possible. So taking out more abominations was never wrong.

Xu Turan picked up the Polaroid and casually took a photo, surprised to find that the Polaroid, which had almost lost its color, could now take photos with normal colors again.

“…It might have absorbed power from staying in this domain for a long time,” Yang Buqi took it and observed for a while, pursing his lips. “This domain seems to have an enhancing and restorative effect on other non-humans… Fortunately, there aren’t any small monsters in here.”

Otherwise, it would be troublesome when it comes to fighting…

As he was pondering this, he saw Xu Turan take several photos in quick succession, then quickly slip them out under the door.

Yang Buqi: “…”

“That should be about enough,” Xu Turan nodded self-affirmingly, then turned to see Yang Buqi still holding one photo, took it from him, and directly slipped it out.

While slipping it out, she asked: “Oh right, what were you saying just now?”

Yang Buqi: “…Nothing. I was just lamenting that there aren’t many small monsters in this domain…”

“Oh, I noticed that problem too,” Xu Turan nodded in agreement. “That’s why I just added some, right? By the way, can this door be opened? If it can, I’ll throw these supernatural items out too.”

Yang Buqi: …

Fortunately, Pu Han had already explained Xu Turan’s passive ability to him earlier — Yang Buqi thought expressionlessly.

Otherwise, just based on her actions, it would be really hard not to beat her up as an undercover agent.

Unfortunately, the supernatural items Xu Turan purchased this time didn’t seem to be particularly useful.

The Mirror of Chaos needed to meet the gaze of others to make them hallucinate. Besides that, the most formidable was a knife-wielding teddy bear with a beast tendency, reportedly fond of killing small animals and stuffing their innards into its own body, but Xu Turan’s house was too clean, not even a cockroach to be found.

“A fox sculpture that can manipulate people’s emotions, a flashlight that can cause burns and fire illusions, a vitamin bottle that can make people irritable and angry…” Xu Turan counted the supernatural items in the room one by one, feeling more and more that this batch wasn’t bought well.

They all seemed to be of high level, but none were as practical as the previous batch.

She suddenly missed that bald doll very much.

On the other side, as Yang Buqi listened to her count them one by one, he couldn’t help but twitch the corner of his mouth.

“You… sleep in the same room with these things every night?”

“Ah.” Xu Turan responded absentmindedly, taking out the long-silent Planchette Pen from her pocket. Just then, Pu Han turned around with the rule paper, saw the pen, and exclaimed:

“Hey, that’s not bad, where did you get it?”

“From Old Jiang’s shop…” Xu Turan responded instinctively, suddenly realizing something, and glanced at Pu Han with slight surprise.

Pu Han didn’t notice her expression and brought over the rule paper, placing it between everyone — the paper was densely covered with his handwriting.

He had written everything he had “read” about this house on the rule paper. After a moment, the dense handwriting gradually disappeared, and lines of clear and upright red text gradually floated up:

【This notice is generated under emergency conditions, only applicable to the Ghost House No. 71 related environment, and is for reference only. Due to limited reference materials, if you have obtained more complete information, please transcribe it at the bottom of the paper as soon as possible to generate more comprehensive rules.】

【Ability users entering Ghost House No. 71 for the first time, please act according to this notice as much as possible.】

【1. Please be sure to leave the premises of this house within 23 hours.】

【2. Please ensure that there are two or more abominations in an active state in the current house.】

【3. Please try to avoid activities in places with water.】

【4. Please avoid getting any liquid on your body. If accidentally stained, wipe it off quickly and stay dry!】

【5. Please make sure there are no upright black threads at the back of your and your companions’ necks. If there are, please cut them off immediately at all costs!】

【6. If black threads appear in your field of vision, quickly check if there are any eyeball-like objects around. If not, please move your gaze away and exit the current room as gently as possible. If there are, please stop all actions and thinking immediately. If necessary, you can put yourself into a state of shock.】

【7. If you have an anchor, please check its status again. Please ensure it is normal, usable, and reliable.】

【8. If you see people or objects that obviously don’t belong to the current time during your actions, please pretend not to see them. And avoid all unnecessary contact.】

【9. Under no circumstances, do not look up.】

【10. Do. Not. Look. Up.】

…

After that, there was a section requesting ability users to preserve data and records as much as possible.

Xu Turan, after reading the entire rule book: “…”

A rough calculation showed that she had already violated at least three of these rules… Thinking about it this way, it seemed not unjustified that she was plagued by hallucinations earlier.

No wonder it could fetch 1,200 points at once.

Xu Turan mused inwardly, watching Yang Buqi take the rule paper and stick it on the door, her face showing signs of contemplation.

“It doesn’t seem to have explicitly stated how to escape.”

Yang Buqi looked at her deeply: “As you said, it just wasn’t ‘explicitly stated’.”

“Hmm…” Xu Turan nodded, casually twirling the Planchette Pen in her hand, “Judging from the content provided by the rule paper, there might be things appearing in this domain that don’t belong to this time and space.”

“The domain was generated because of a ritual,” Pu Han chimed in. “If we can find traces of the ritual from back then, we might have a way out.”

“Then we still need to go out and take a look,” Yang Buqi nodded. “Fortunately, it’s just this one house. If we search room by room, even at one hour per room, 23 hours should be more than enough.”

“Mm.” Xu Turan nodded casually, putting the Planchette Pen back in her pocket, and added, “So where do we start searching? This house has four floors including the basement.”

Yang Buqi paused: “Which floor has fewer rooms? Let’s start with the one with fewer rooms.”

“Hard to say, let me count,” Xu Turan started counting on her fingers. “The basement has a game room, a billiard room, a wine cellar, and a home theater. The first floor has an entrance hall, dining room, living room, two bathrooms, two side halls… and a kitchen and prep area… The second floor has two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and walk-in closet, plus a sunroom and a sitting room… The third floor has a study, a gym, and two guest rooms, the guest rooms also have their own bathrooms and walk-in closets… Oh right, there’s also a greenhouse outside the first floor. Should we check that too?”

Yang Buqi and Pu Han: “…”

After a moment, Pu Han turned to look at Yang Buqi, with a half-smile: “What did you say just now? One hour per room would be enough?”

Yang Buqi: …

I’m sorry, I was too naive.
