The young man chuckled softly, adjusted his position, and used his left hand to open the computer in front of him.

“Stop messing around. We have work to do. There’s a newcomer who needs an assessment.”

He seemed to be talking to himself as he skillfully found the newly submitted newcomer’s information in the database, then sat up straight.

…No, rather than sitting up straight, it was more like his body was “straightened” by an invisible force. His sickly thin body trembled slightly, and his eyes completely unfocused, as if looking at the screen, yet also looking through the screen before him into endless void.

At the same time, his left hand raised. It began to type rapidly on the keyboard.

【Name: Xu Turan.】

【Age: 19.】

【Quality: Mad Rabbit, Snow White Queen.】

【Ability tendency: Chaos, Beast, Natural Disaster, Orde…】

Before the last word was completed, the right hand that had been quietly lying on the side suddenly jumped up, acting on its own, bounced to the delete key, and with a few taps, deleted most of what he had just typed.

…?

The young man, who had been in a trance state, suddenly came back to his senses, looked at the computer screen, and revealed an expression between laughter and tears.

“What are you doing? Throwing a tantrum at me?”

He coaxed gently: “Alright, don’t mess around. Do you like that girl opposite? I’ll take you to play with her when I’m free, okay? Now is work time, Yang Buqi is waiting for the results…”

He raised his left hand again, wanting to undo the deletion, but as soon as the content was restored, it was deleted clean by the right hand without a word.

The young man: …

He looked down at his right hand, which simply spread its five fingers and lay flat on the keyboard.

With an air of “if you dare type again, I’ll get mad at you”.

“…” The young man lowered his eyes, pondered for a moment, and his expression became solemn.

“Feifei?” he called softly, “Did you ‘foresee’ something?”

The right hand lying on the keyboard moved again on its own, jumping nimbly a few times, and a line of text appeared on the screen.

The young man stared at that line for a while, then laughed again.

“Alright, let’s do as you wish then,” he said, relaxing back into his chair. “Do whatever makes you happy, I’ll clean up after you.”

Having received his promise, the right hand seemed to become happy all at once, flipping over to give him a heart sign, then lowered its fingers and began to dance nimbly on the keyboard.

A quarter of an hour later.

Yang Buqi, who had been busy revising the report, finally received the assessment results from the high-level Omniscient.

As Xu Turan’s new guide, he clicked on that result without hesitation—and then his brows furrowed.

【Name: Xu Turan.】

【Age: 19.】

【Quality: Invincibly Cute Little Jade Rabbit, Snow White.】

【Ability tendency: Beast, Natural Disaster, Eternal Day】

Yang Buqi: …

He couldn’t continue revising his report and stood up abruptly.

“Teacher Yang?” A colleague nearby looked over in surprise, “Um, that report…”

“I’m sorry, I have an urgent matter,” Yang Buqi said, trying to suppress the irritation in his heart, “I’ll definitely have it ready this afternoon, really sorry…”

As he spoke, he turned and walked out. He quickly rushed to the fifth floor of the opposite building, knocked on the door for a long time but no one answered. Only after asking the security guard did he learn that the person in the room had already gone to the cafeteria for lunch.

That guy actually had the mood to eat… Yang Buqi’s mind went blank when he recalled that assessment result. Without thinking further, he went directly to the cafeteria.

The second floor of the cafeteria was all private rooms. He knew that person always ate in private rooms.

Yang Buqi found his way to the last room on the second floor with familiarity. The door was ajar. He was about to raise his hand to knock when he heard a “Come in” from inside.

Yang Buqi: …

He didn’t stand on ceremony and pushed the door open directly. His first words were: “Pu Han, what are you up to?”

The room was very large, but only one person was sitting at the table. The pale and thin young man slowly raised his teacup with his left hand and asked in return: “What?”

“You know what I’m talking about.” Yang Buqi casually closed the door behind him, walked forward two steps, and lowered his voice, “Xu Turan’s quality assessment results… You’re simply making things up!”

“No, I’m not,” the young man said with a straight face. “This is what I ‘saw’. And why are you frowning like that? Be careful not to scare Feifei.”

Yang Buqi: “…”

He glanced at the young man’s right side and softened his tone: “I’m sorry, sister-in-law.”

Then he turned his gaze back and frowned again: “Don’t try to fool me. You know I can tell. And if you’re going to make things up, at least make it believable. Xu Turan indeed showed some cold-resistant abilities, but look at what you wrote—Jade Rabbit? Snow White? Which one of these has anything to do with Natural Disaster?”

“You can’t say that,” the young man said. “Let me ask you, where does the Jade Rabbit live?”

Yang Buqi: “…”

Don’t answer, don’t answer, don’t answer.

He kept emphasizing to himself in his heart, but still couldn’t help but say: “The moon.”

Young man: “What’s on the moon?”

Yang Buqi: “…Chang’e?”

Young man: “Where does Chang’e live?”

Yang Buqi: “…The Guanghan Palace.”

“See, you said it yourself, Guanghan (Vast Cold)!” The young man slapped the table, “Doesn’t it all make sense now?”

Yang Buqi: “…”

He was sure the other person was talking nonsense. But the terrible thing was, even knowing the other person was talking nonsense, he could no longer refute this point.

“Sophistry”—this was one of the abilities of the high-level Omniscient, Pu Han. Once he managed to round out his own logic in a debate, others would no longer be able to question this logic.

In a sense, this could be said to be the ability Yang Buqi hated the most, bar none.

“Fine, let’s not talk about Natural Disaster then—what about ‘Chaos’?” Yang Buqi took a deep breath, “Xu Turan definitely has a Chaos tendency. I’ve seen it with my own eyes, she can make multiple low-level abominations lose their heads. This tendency is very dangerous and needs special attention, you can’t just erase it like this…”

“First of all, how do you know that her ability definitely comes from ‘Chaos’?” The young man looked over seriously, with an air of importance, “How do you know you’re not being prejudiced?”

Yang Buqi was stunned for a moment: “But I saw…”

“Yes, you said she can make abominations lose their heads. Well, I wrote that too, she has a quality called ‘Snow White’—what’s Snow White’s characteristic? Everyone’s darling. Universally beloved.”

“Did the huntsman kill her when the Queen ordered him to? No. Did the seven dwarfs drive her out when she lived in their house? No. Except for the Queen, no one who saw her would harm her… Think about it, isn’t this trait quite close to the ‘losing their heads’ you mentioned?”

Yang Buqi: …

Wait, is your Snow White fierce enough to take on bosses single-handedly?

Yang Buqi was speechless. If he hadn’t witnessed Xu Turan being chased by an attendant to the point of nearly losing her shoes, he might have actually believed this.
