He looked at Xu Turan walking beside him, his feelings quite complicated at the moment.

By now, they had been wandering in this domain for about 40 minutes, and half an hour ago, they had successfully found the location of the little girl’s room—Teacher Yu had drawn the first marker on her door panel and charged it, truly beginning the construction of the VIP parent-child passage.

The subsequent actions were just as Xu Turan had arranged. They used the little girl’s room as a starting point and began a new round of searching. They didn’t close any doors along the way, and every certain distance, Teacher Yu would draw a new marker on a door panel and complete the charging to ensure it was in a state that could be triggered at any time.

Not only that, Xu Turan also had him draw one on a wooden door panel, then directly remove it to carry along—in her words, this was the “emergency switch”. If anything happened, they could directly trigger this marker, saving them from running around breathlessly like a bunch of little chicks.

To be honest, this method was quite effective. Just 5 minutes ago, that terrifying sense of pressure appeared again. They managed to trigger the marker they were carrying before “it” appeared, connecting all the traces already drawn to urgently construct an independent space—that thing actually didn’t discover anything and just walked past them unknowingly.

The success of this attempt undoubtedly gave them great confidence and further proved the feasibility of Xu Turan’s plan. The Renxin Institute group was naturally overjoyed, but when they turned to look at Xu Turan, the younger ones were so frightened they fell silent on the spot.

Xu Turan’s eyes were terribly bloodshot, from the pupils to the whites, all turned a bright red, as if blood might drip out at any moment—even Su Sui’er, who was quite close to Xu Turan, was stunned. It took a while before she tremblingly asked what was going on.

Xu Turan smiled awkwardly without saying anything. Yang Buqi beside her spoke coldly: “What else could it be? This girl tried to look at that thing’s face just now, lucky she didn’t go blind—come here, open your eyes wide.”

White light welled up in his palm, gently covering Xu Turan’s eyes. Teacher Yu watched from the side, not knowing what expression to make.

What a strange girl—he thought silently. You can’t say she doesn’t value her life, she can come up with all sorts of weird ideas to stay alive; but you can’t say she values it either…

What normal person with any sense of crisis would do such a thing?

Returning to his senses, Teacher Yu glanced at Xu Turan who was talking with Su Sui’er beside him, and shook his head secretly. At this moment, Yang Buqi, who was walking at the front, suddenly stopped.

“Found it,” he said in a low voice, maintaining the posture of opening the door, his gaze falling on another door at the end of the room, “That locked room is right here.”

Before their eyes was indeed the room they had hidden in before. The smell of blood left by “it” had not yet dissipated, but for now, “it” didn’t seem to be nearby.

Everyone’s expression became solemn. The second step of the plan was also completed, and next came the most important and dangerous part—

Releasing the attendant in the room and leading it into Teacher Yu’s “independent space”.

Teacher Yu took a deep breath and walked forward first. He touched the door panel opposite and turned back to say: “We don’t need to draw a marker here. We can directly use the one we’re carrying. But this door… how should we open it?”

Yang Buqi responded and walked over. Xu Turan followed curiously and saw Yang Buqi lowering his head to study the lock for a while, then pursing his lips.

“This seal, I’ve seen it… in some documents,” he said in a low voice. “It needs blood to open.”

Seeing Xu Turan move closer, he pointed it out to her: “Look here, there’s an indentation… when blood flows down, it forms a complete circle, and that’s it.”

Xu Turan nodded in sudden realization, remembering the smell of blood she had smelled earlier, and understood: “No wonder I heard the sound of something being poured at that time.”

Thinking about it now, it must have been “it” pouring blood onto the doorknob.

Yang Buqi nodded, pushed Xu Turan aside a bit, then pulled out a small knife from somewhere and aimed it at his own wrist.

Xu Turan was stunned for a moment: “Hey, what are you doing?”

“Drawing blood, of course,” Yang Buqi looked at her strangely, “Didn’t I just tell you this needs blood to open?”

“But there’s no need to use your blood,” Xu Turan frowned and snatched the small knife from his hand.

… Then whose? Yours?

Yang Buqi opened his mouth slightly, then thought again that this was indeed something Xu Turan would do, and immediately tried to stop her. But before he could speak, he saw Xu Turan open her messenger bag and pour out a bunch of red pens.

“This is a seal made by ‘it’, why do we need to use your blood to open it?” Xu Turan said righteously, “Let’s try these red pens first, if they don’t work then we’ll go outside and catch something alive… One shouldn’t be so rash in life…”

Yang Buqi: …

I’m rash… fine.

He controlled himself and closed his eyes, ultimately saying nothing. On the other side, Xu Turan had already taken a red pen and was trying to apply it to the doorknob.

Logically, it should be difficult for a water-based writing pen to leave marks on metal. However, these were not ordinary red pens—those blood vessel-like pen cores always gave people the illusion that they might burst open if pressed too hard.

The ink fell onto the doorknob, flowing like a thick liquid. Xu Turan pursed her lips, carefully applying a circle along the indentation Yang Buqi had pointed out, then tried touching the doorknob, clearly feeling the lock loosen.

“This method works. Apply a bit more and it should open,” Yang Buqi nodded thoughtfully. The boss behind them came up carrying the door panel, placing the panel with the drawn marker beside them.

“In a moment, except for a few Lamp levels and the boss, everyone else step back,” Teacher Yu swallowed and said, “Unless you want to be locked in the same space with this attendant…”

“An attendant is still easier to deal with than ‘it’,” Xu Turan said, “When we release ‘mom’, ‘it’ will definitely notice. If it chases over then, the people left outside the space would be in more danger.”

… That’s true.

Teacher Yu wiped his forehead and corrected: “Alright, then remember, you must hide near the marker, the marker can provide you with some cover…”

Most of those present were from Renxin Institute and were very familiar with his abilities. Yang Buqi had also come into contact with the independent space of Plum Blossom Apartment before. These words were actually meant for Xu Turan.

Xu Turan nodded, lowered her head and applied another layer to the doorknob indentation. Then she placed her hand on the doorknob.

The crisis premonition in her mind began to beep.

Teacher Yu had already started triggering the marker. Xu Turan didn’t fully press down on the doorknob until he nodded—

With a “click”, the lock turned and the door opened.

A pungent smell wafted out from the room. The crisis premonition in Xu Turan’s mind rang out in a series of harsh alarms, accompanied by the notification sound of a huge amount of Courting Death Value being credited.
