Cha Ruoyu had two children at home, and there were two beds in the second bedroom, which made perfect sense.

They had speculated earlier that Cha Ruoyu’s family members had likely become attendants, and the aura after encountering her further proved this point. Xu Turan put one hand on her shoulder bag, contemplating whether to throw out a supernatural item for emergencies, when Yang Buqi’s desperate coughing sound came from behind.

“Don’t do anything rash,” he said in a low voice, “This is their territory.”

Xu Turan thought for a moment, but ultimately let go of her hand.

On the other side, Su Sui’er held up one hand horizontally, seemingly also struggling with whether to take action. The girl, however, misunderstood their silence, and giggled again, turning to open a schoolbag.

“Don’t rush, I’ll find some paper and pens for you… You can sit down first and think about it carefully. Only when you write to my satisfaction will I let you out.”

She seemed completely immersed in her own world.

Xu Turan pressed her lips, quietly moved closer to Yang Buqi, and peeked over to see him holding a red pen, seriously scribbling on the paper, which left her completely confused.

“How did you end up here?” she asked in a low voice.

“I came to find you. But not long after I came in, I ended up in this room,” Yang Buqi replied, paused, noticed Xu Turan’s confused gaze, and added, “I snatched Xiao Zhang’s key to get in.”

He wasn’t stupid after all. After witnessing Xu Turan use his own key to open the door and then disappear, he quickly understood that the problem was with the key, and immediately started looking for Xiao Zhang everywhere — Xu Turan’s own key had always been with her, so if he wanted to follow and rescue her, he could only use Xiao Zhang’s key.

As luck would have it, when he found Xiao Zhang, the latter was about to use the key to open the door. He immediately went to stop him and demanded the key, but unexpectedly, the originally timid and weak Xiao Zhang went crazy upon hearing this —

“You can’t use my key! This is my key, it gave it to me! This is my chance! Go away, go away—”

His tone was so agitated, as if Yang Buqi was trying to take not his key, but his salary card.

Yang Buqi then realized that his condition seemed a bit off.

“I asked Luo Yu later. The restraint on that suit doll had loosened, but not nearly enough for it to run on its own,” Yang Buqi said, “Xiao Zhang was bewitched. He didn’t go up there unintentionally, but was attracted by some kind of force.”

Xiao Zhang’s cognition was affected, and he believed what he said to be true — and in this situation, even with the ability of a prophet, it would be difficult for him to discern.

As Yang Buqi spoke, he looked deeply at Xu Turan. Honestly, when he saw Xu Turan rush up to the 15th floor at that time, he was a bit angry, but now thinking about it, maybe he had wronged her. Perhaps she was also just bewitched—

“Damn it,” Xu Turan couldn’t help but curse after listening, “So he was pulled up there? Why didn’t it pull me? How much effort did I put in to get to the 15th floor? Why did Xiao Zhang get a direct pass? This is unfair!”

Yang Buqi: …

I don’t know, I was just trying to rationalize your behavior.

Yang Buqi fell silent. He finally realized that when he tried to rationalize Xu Turan’s behavior, this line of thinking itself might be extremely irrational.

“Are you talking about Xiao Zhang?” Su Sui’er, who had been nervously watching the girl rummaging through the schoolbag, couldn’t help but interject, “The one who was with Luo Yu? Is he okay now?”

“…” Yang Buqi’s pen didn’t stop, he lowered his head and seriously recalled for a moment.

He remembered that he was in a hurry to get in to find Xu Turan at that time, so he was a little bit rough. If he remembered correctly, he seemed to have knocked out two of the other’s teeth, broke a few of his fingers, and seemed to have twisted his arm…

“Mm, he’s fine,” after recalling, he nodded calmly, “His condition is very stable now.”

“…” Su Sui’er gave him a distrustful look, then turned to continue vigilantly staring at the little girl.

The girl completely ignored their whispering, and continued to rummage through the schoolbag, finding two blank essay papers and a handful of red pens.

“Come, sit down and write,” she said.

She put the paper and pens on the desk, smiling: “Just write ‘My Great Father’. Note, you can’t deviate from the topic, you must fully write about his greatness—”

“What if we can’t write it?” Su Sui’er asked in a deep voice, “What will happen to us?”

“Then I’ll give you model essays to copy,” the girl said, “After copying a few times, you’ll know how great Father is.”

“Don’t copy,” Yang Buqi said quietly, “You’ll be brainwashed.”

Xu Turan looked at him, finally couldn’t help but ask, “What exactly are you doing now?”

She had wanted to ask earlier. Since she came in, Yang Buqi had been scribbling on the paper, completely confusing behavior.

Yang Buqi: …

“When she told me to write an essay, I said I couldn’t read. So she told me to copy the dictionary,” Yang Buqi closed his eyes, “But that dictionary was also full of brainwashing stuff.”

He didn’t dare to look at those things, nor did he dare to put pen to paper, he could only keep scribbling to prevent being taken advantage of.

“Those essays are also all praising ‘it’,” Su Sui’er moved closer to Xu Turan, “No matter what she says, don’t write, don’t copy, don’t look. If you get brainwashed, you’ll become its believer…”

The problem is, if we don’t write, we can’t get out…

Xu Turan thought for a moment, looked at the girl in front of her again, and suddenly spoke up:

“May I ask, what kind of essay would satisfy you?”

“Of course it has to praise it!” the girl immediately answered. She completely ignored the whispers of the others, but when someone talked to her, she always answered — and her body language and expressions were extremely rich.

“You have to praise it! You have to spread its deeds! You have to make people who see the article feel amazed from the bottom of their hearts!” The girl twisted the two blood vessels in front of her body, making a gesture as if praying.

Xu Turan casually picked up a red pen, poked at the essay paper, and said, “But I haven’t had much contact with it, how do I know what deeds it has?”

“It is omnipotent,” the girl lowered her voice, “Whatever you write, it can definitely accomplish.”

“…Okay, I generally understand,” Xu Turan pressed her lips, “Just to confirm, the key point is to make others ‘amazed’, right?”

The girl nodded sweetly.

Xu Turan: “Is there a word count requirement?”

“Follow your heart,” the girl said, “When you truly accept it, you’ll find that even if you use up all the blood in your body, you can’t finish praising it…”

“I see, then I’ll write about 800 words to start with,” Xu Turan nodded, and directly sat down next to Yang Buqi.

Yang Buqi: …?!

“Hey, wait, you can’t!” Su Sui’er widened her eyes, immediately pointing her five fingers at Xu Turan, “You can’t write this kind of thing! You’ll be brainwashed— Mmph!”

Before she could finish speaking, she was suddenly slapped aside by the little girl.

The little girl, who had always ignored their conversations, finally showed a hint of viciousness in her expression.

“You can’t disturb others writing essays,” she said seriously, using a blood vessel to pin Su Sui’er against the wall, “This is a sacred thing.”

“…!” Su Sui’er glared at her angrily, then looked at Xu Turan who had already started writing furiously, her eyes full of undisguised anxiety.

“Stop her—” she struggled to speak, but as soon as the words came out, she felt her throat tighten, and all sounds were forcefully pushed back.

…As for Yang Buqi sitting next to Xu Turan, after glancing at Xu Turan’s essay paper with his peripheral vision, he suddenly showed a subtle expression.

After a moment, he hesitantly spoke up: “Um, you don’t need to mind her.”

Su Sui’er: “…?”

Yang Buqi looked at her deeply, repeating ambiguously: “No need to mind, just let her be.”

Su Sui’er: …?!!

On the other side, Xu Turan wrote fluently, and in the blink of an eye, she had already finished the first paragraph.

【My father is a great father… His greatness is manifested in his omnipotence…】

【So-called omnipotence means that he can do things that ordinary people can’t do. For example, he dares to eat shit…】

【Yes, I’m sure he would dare, after all, he is so omnipotent…】

Yang Buqi: …

Well, how to put it.

Even if Xu Turan was successfully brainwashed, he felt that the other side probably wouldn’t want this believer.

It was quite reassuring.
