Helping with Adventurer Party Management - Chapter 393
Dear Readers,
Due to a temporary website issue, starting around April 3, all novels started before January 2025 will be temporarily moved to the drafts folder for approximately 3–4 weeks. Unfortunately, this novel is included in that list.
In the meantime, I will be uploading the latest advance chapters to my Ko-fi account for my supporters. Regular updates will resume as soon as the site allows.
Thank you for your patience and support!
After several days of checking estimates with experienced workers, the accuracy of the plan steadily improved.
Still, even among the experienced, there were plenty of questionable estimates—either due to differing conditions or simple misjudgment. These entries were marked with warnings, and the numbers were revised. Each time a task was completed, the corresponding board was turned over.
“If you flip the board after verifying its accuracy, you can understand the whole situation at a glance. Honestly, this method is incredibly useful. I’m going to request that the church adopt it as well.”
“What about the military? I could definitely see it helping with expedition planning and logistics…”
“I wonder about artisans, too. For someone in charge of a workshop—like the Governor—it might be an essential skill.”
The new officials were gathered in front of the boards, deep in discussion, so I called out to them.
“What’s wrong, Shion? Don’t you want your own workshop?”
“G-Governor! W-what do you mean, my own workshop?”
“Just what I said. Don’t you want to have your own?”
“W-Well… I don’t know? Seeing how hard things have been for you, Governor… to be honest, I’m not sure.”
Oh no—I had always assumed that every craftsman dreamed of running their own workshop.
But maybe not. After all, the craftsmen here have seen what I’ve gone through to get mine off the ground.
If you’re a person of sound mind, hesitation is perfectly reasonable.
“Well, either way is fine. But I’d really like it if you learned this method. I get busy, and there are times I can’t personally oversee the workshop. When that happens, it’d be a huge help to have a craftsman who can manage the production plan for the shoe business. I think I can even offer a proper salary.”
“Really? Then I’ll do my best!”
I plan to have Sara manage the shoe business overall, but it’ll be too much for her to handle alone.
I need someone who can act as a peer and sounding board. That was one of the reasons I selected Shion from among the craftsmen.
“By the way, how’s the plan coming along?”
When I asked, the new officials replied with confidence.
“It’s going well. We should be able to finish it today.”
“I see…”
Since they said it was nearly complete, I decided to review it.
There were a few small flaws, but that was to be expected.
Making mistakes—and learning how to recover from them—is part of the process.
Rather than aiming for perfection on paper, it might be better to start the work and make improvements along the way.
For now, I decided to have them present the overall plan the next day.

“Now, allow me to explain the plan.” Claudio was the one to step forward.
Among the clergy, he was the most articulate and logical speaker.
However, like many intelligent people, he could be a bit impatient with those who didn’t follow quickly.
Holding a thin baton-like stick, Claudio began his presentation, pointing to the wooden boards laid out across the floor.
Behind him stood the five new officials, each holding pieces of parchment that appeared to be supporting documents.
It was clear they’d put a lot of effort into preparing for this day.
I wonder what kind of presentation they’ll give?
I’m genuinely looking forward to it.
