Dear Readers,

Due to a temporary website issue, starting around April 3, all novels started before January 2025 will be temporarily moved to the drafts folder for approximately 3–4 weeks. Unfortunately, this novel is included in that list.

In the meantime, I will be uploading the latest advance chapters to my Ko-fi account for my supporters. Regular updates will resume as soon as the site allows.

Thank you for your patience and support!

“They’re asking… Yes. The method was so revolutionary, it seems they thought they could do everything on their own.”

Claudio agreed.

“That’s true. When you learn a new method, it’s easy to feel like you can solve anything with it. But in the end, it’s just a tool. You need to be careful not to let the tool control you.”

“Being used by the tool… Yeah, that’s exactly it.”

I warned Claudio, a little smugly—but following through on that idea is harder than it sounds.

That’s because there’s often a trade-off between selecting the right method from a broad array and having true expertise.

Most consultants have their favorite go-to methods, and they often end up shaping the problem to fit those methods instead of the other way around.

While solving the problem is certainly a goal, I personally believe that the best solutions are those that require the least effort. It’s good to be precise, but it’s just as important to maintain a sense of detachment and remember that methods are simply tools.

“First, mark the jobs you think you might be able to ask someone about. It shouldn’t take long.”

“I see. I’ll give it a try.”

Following the instruction, the new officials began marking the boards.

Even if they planned to divide up and inquire about the jobs later, they needed to know the total number in order to balance the workload.

Since the task didn’t require much deliberation, they finished quickly.

“So? How’s it going? Did you notice anything?”

When I asked, Shion responded, looking a little unsure.

“Um… I thought we were supposed to be doing new work, but it seems like more jobs have marks than I expected.”

Just as Shion said, more than half of the boards laid out on the floor had been marked.

In other words, there was someone they could consult for each of those tasks.

“I thought so too. They’re supposed to be doing innovative work, so it’s kind of surprising that so many of the jobs have people with prior experience,” Paperino said, agreeing with Shion.

“That’s true—but also perfectly natural. Real innovation builds on existing work. Without a foundation, there can be no growth or improvement. As long as people understand that, that’s enough.”

Maybe there really are geniuses out there who can achieve greatness entirely on their own, regardless of what came before.

But I’m just an ordinary person. And the method I’m teaching now is a way for a group of ordinary people to accomplish something extraordinary.

So if possible, I’d prefer we keep the exaggerations to a minimum.
