Helping with Adventurer Party Management - Chapter 292
Dear Readers,
Due to a temporary website issue, starting around April 3, all novels started before January 2025 will be temporarily moved to the drafts folder for approximately 3–4 weeks. Unfortunately, this novel is included in that list.
In the meantime, I will be uploading the latest advance chapters to my Ko-fi account for my supporters. Regular updates will resume as soon as the site allows.
Thank you for your patience and support!
“I don’t really want to ask, but I’ll inquire at the church about this too…”
The church has people capable of painting religious artwork, and perhaps some of the clergy are trained in this craft. I can’t quite picture Father Nicolo seriously illustrating anything.
“By the way, there are a lot of beautiful paintings in the cathedral! We should have done that from the start!”
The ceilings and walls of the city’s grand cathedral are adorned with large religious paintings depicting scenes from sacred texts. This indicates that there’s likely an art studio somewhere in the city, sponsored by the church.
I’m not well-versed in painting techniques, but I remember them being realistic and possibly frescoes.
“But can we have that painted on parchment?” When I pose this question, Sara falls silent.
What I’m looking for is the skill of an illustrator who can create our desired images in a small space with simple lines, completing them in a short time while frequently accommodating revision requests.
What I want illustrated are the appearances of monsters like goblins, footprints, and such. Would anyone even be willing to draw subjects like that? It would be even better if they have experience seeing such monsters in person.
As Sara and I stand together with our arms crossed, troubled, a flamboyantly dressed woman unexpectedly bursts into the office of the workshop.
“Why are you looking so gloomy? I can have one of my troupe members paint a picture for you!”
“Anne! It’s been a while!”
“How have you been, Sara?”
It has been some time since I last saw Anne, and she is now dressed very stylishly. Although she has always worn luxurious clothes, they had an old-fashioned, second-hand feel to them. Now, she exudes confidence, donning the latest fashion.
“You seem to be wearing something really nice.”
“Oh, thank you! But you could compliment my substance a bit more, you know?” Saying this, she hands over a bundle of parchment. “Here, this is the order slip. It’s written in detail, so please make it accordingly.”
Anne presents me with an order form for shoes she has received from a nobleman.
I glance over the order form, which includes various details such as the name, family composition, purpose of the order, size, additional decorations, and the material for the wrapping box.
“This is quite something.” I can’t help but exclaim.
Anne proudly hides her mouth with a feathered fan. “Yeah, it is quite the struggle,” she replies simply.
To gather this much information, one must dive deeply into the customers’ pockets. Anne seems to navigate the noble society well, fully grasping their tastes and preferences to secure orders.
“What are you doing again that doesn’t make money? I can provide you with as many artists as you want, so just hurry up and make the shoes!” Anne insists as I reunite with her after so long.
