Dear Readers,

Due to a temporary website issue, starting around April 3, all novels started before January 2025 will be temporarily moved to the drafts folder for approximately 3–4 weeks. Unfortunately, this novel is included in that list.

In the meantime, I will be uploading the latest advance chapters to my Ko-fi account for my supporters. Regular updates will resume as soon as the site allows.

Thank you for your patience and support!

As the sales method becomes a concern, we seize the opportunity to revisit the sales methods we envision.

First, when we consider the demand for Guardian Shoes among adventurers, they are recognized as the footwear of the Sword Fangs Legion, which leads requests for them to come directly to Jilboa. While Guardian Shoes are still considered a luxury item for ordinary adventurers, they are often purchased in bulk by large, first-class adventurer clans.

On the other hand, the export of these shoes to adventurers outside the city is handled by inter-city merchants. They manage the transportation to other cities and sell them there. The terms of our contracts stipulate that they share sales figures with us, so we do have transaction information, but judging by the names of their trading partners, it seems they’re merely wholesaling to other trading companies.

In summary, our company has not engaged in retail sales of Guardian Shoes; instead, we have developed a business model that encompasses everything from manufacturing to wholesale.

For the Pioneers’ Shoes, I use the same approach when dealing with the church, aiming for widespread distribution throughout the kingdom by contacting the church and directly wholesaling to it, as it has an organization across the entire country, thereby avoiding the need for branch networks.

However, I miscalculated. The plan to have the Cardinal wear the shoes as a promotional stunt backfires, as it encourages other priests to do the same, drawing me into a political struggle within the church that jeopardizes my life. While I navigate these challenges, I realize that the Pioneers’ Shoes have inadvertently become recognized as a luxury brand.

Unfortunately, the company lacks a system for selling luxury goods.

Herein lies the conflict between the company structure that has focused on manufacturing to wholesale and the fact that we’ve inadvertently created luxury brand goods.

◇ ◇ ◇ ◇ ◇

I explain this situation to Sara, Anne, Kiriku, and Gorgoro.

“Man, you really have a complicated way of thinking,” is Kiriku’s reaction.

“Well, I’ll leave the selling to Kenji,” Gorgoro replies before rushing off to the workshop.

Sara crosses her arms, trying hard to understand, but it seems she struggles to grasp the lives of those who use luxury goods.

Well, I’m a commoner myself, so I can’t blame her for not getting it.

Amidst all this, only Anne seems lively.

“Hey, do you actually get it?” Kiriku asks her.

“Of course! It’s only natural to sell expensive things at high prices to wealthy people. Kenji’s the strange one for trying to sell something that could fetch a high price for cheap. And you know, a true beauty like me needs to look good with makeup, a nice dress, and proper hair, escorted in a lavish carriage by a noble husband to really stand out. If I’m seen with a rough guy like you, it’ll only diminish a woman’s worth, right? Selling luxury goods is all about that!”

“Who are you calling rough?!”

The two of them start bickering, but Anne’s point is valid. To sell luxury goods, a suitable sales route is necessary.

Since the church has not yet granted permission to sell, we have time to think about how to handle sales operations.

“First, I should inquire whether I can outsource sales, even just to see if it’s possible.”

For my personal safety, it’s best that I avoid making direct visits myself. I have no choice but to write a letter on parchment and send someone from the workshop to deliver it.

This seems like a decent business opportunity; if they believe there’s profit to be made, they will come to me.

However, after a while, the response I receive indicates that if I have business, I should come to them.

I see, that’s the angle they’re taking.

As I read the letter that has been sent back, I can’t help but smirk.
