Helping with Adventurer Party Management - Chapter 169
Dear Readers,
Due to a temporary website issue, starting around April 3, all novels started before January 2025 will be temporarily moved to the drafts folder for approximately 3–4 weeks. Unfortunately, this novel is included in that list.
In the meantime, I will be uploading the latest advance chapters to my Ko-fi account for my supporters. Regular updates will resume as soon as the site allows.
Thank you for your patience and support!
Although I’ve secured Sara’s agreement, that alone doesn’t mean much without action. Establishing a factory requires numerous resources, but there are some bare minimum requirements.
Let’s start by considering the necessary resources: funding, power, and local connections.
You also need a solid establishment plan, equipment, and human resources.
Above all, you need a management team with a unified vision and shared goals.
Since no one can achieve everything alone, I must persuade many people and increase the number of supporters.
For our company, this includes Jilboa from the Sword Fangs Legion, our two major sponsors, and Gooljin, the town merchant. For now, I need to focus on persuading these individuals.

I visit the Sword Fangs Legion’s office for the first time in a while—about two weeks, if I remember correctly. When I was being targeted, I used to stay here, but it feels like a long time ago.
Jilboa waits in the Captain’s office, so I’m guided there by a young assistant. Comparing it to my first visit, the office has become quite sophisticated.
There was a woman at the reception desk who would guide me if asked. The office is clean, with tapestries and paintings decorating the walls. Even small vases with flowers are placed along the corridors.
That said, the brigade hasn’t become soft. The expressions of the brigade members reflect confidence and discipline, and they appear to have grown in stature.
They probably select new recruits based on their physique, provide meat-centered diets, and offer rigorous training, given their current resources. The armor and weapons equipment also seem to have improved further compared to before.
Previously, the equipment was somewhat haphazardly arranged, giving off the feel of a veteran adventurers’ base, but now it is neatly organized by type, and the weapons’ surfaces appear to be lightly oiled and polished.
This is no longer an adventurers’ office; it’s now a military base.
Jilboa continues to operate on a grand scale, as usual.
◇ ◇ ◇ ◇ ◇
When I am shown into the Captain’s office, Jilboa is in the midst of a meeting with a strangely long-armed blacksmith-like man about new weapons. They are discussing mechanisms to enhance the power and firing rate of crossbows.
Looking more closely, the blacksmith turns out to be Galahad from the Kwan Workshop. I remember him strongly from the time I requested mass production design for the shoes.
“Hey, isn’t that Galahad?” I say, almost speaking out loud. The long-armed, peculiar craftsman looks at me with disinterest, then glances at the shoes at my feet, as if trying to trigger his memory.
“Oh, it’s you. The one who ordered those shoes. What are you doing here?”
I am the one who wants to ask why he is here, but he says,
I am the one wondering why he is here, but I respond, “Oh, I came to consult about the shoes. I’m providing the Guardian Shoes to the Sword Fangs Legion.” I vaguely explain.
It’s well-known that the Sword Fangs Legion is behind our background, but there’s no need to reveal the shareholder structure. Galahad might not care about such matters, but if it reaches Anor’s ears, it could become a problem. Anor is someone to be cautious of; I still suspect he might have leaked information about our shoe production when we first started making shoes.
As I listen to the conversation, it expands to include discussions about the shape of the broadhead quarrels used with crossbows. They are considering various factors such as impact force to stop monster momentum, penetration power to pierce thick, tough monster hides, and special tips for injecting poison or inducing bleeding to drain the monster’s stamina.
Remarkably, they are also exploring methods for dealing with flying enemies. For example, firing multiple narrow arrows simultaneously to specifically target and damage wings, similar to scattershot or arrow-shaped flechettes.
I can’t help but think that these guys are truly living out the heroic tales of a fantasy world. Reflecting on my own inability to become a hero, I feel a tinge of envy at the difference.
