Helping with Adventurer Party Management - Chapter 333
Dear Readers,
Due to a temporary website issue, starting around April 3, all novels started before January 2025 will be temporarily moved to the drafts folder for approximately 3–4 weeks. Unfortunately, this novel is included in that list.
In the meantime, I will be uploading the latest advance chapters to my Ko-fi account for my supporters. Regular updates will resume as soon as the site allows.
Thank you for your patience and support!
Author’s Notes: Kenji has become a big star, and his consulting work is shaking up the industry and the world. So, I wanted to write a little consulting story, and decided to make Sarah the main character, with a consulting story as a side chapter.
Chronologically, this takes place quite some time ago.
A total of six sessions are planned.
If it’s well-received, I’d like to continue it as a separate novel.
“I’m never taking adventurer requests again!” I finally told the people who fired Kenji today.
I didn’t like them from the start, just for firing him.
The guy they replaced him with was a jerk who could only swing a sword, and I was fed up with him.
Now, he’s suggesting that we borrow money from the party to pay for the weapons he broke.
“I’m not joking around!”
And so, my adventurer life ended after just a few years.
Originally, I had come from a farming village to support my younger brother and sister, and adventuring was the only way to earn a living other than being skilled with a bow and arrow.
When Kenji was with the party, we didn’t do anything too dangerous, but we earned enough money, and by completing quests, I could even save up for some souvenirs to bring home to my family.
But after Kenji got fired, everything just went downhill.
Now, I help out at Kenji’s place and learn a lot, so I’m busy and can still make a living.
“I’m quitting being an adventurer!”
I’m done with this adventurer business!

“Ah, I think I messed up.”
Sitting in my usual inn, I hold my head in my hands and sip on a lukewarm beer from the afternoon when Kimberly, another archer, calls out to me.
I had introduced him to Kenji on a previous request, and we still talk from time to time.
“What, did Kenji cheat on you or something?”
“It’s not like that,” I reply, not in the mood for her usual teasing.
Even though I’m trying to be upbeat, I’m feeling down.
“Ugh, I promised my younger brother and sister I’d buy them souvenirs…” I let out a bit of a whine before I can stop myself.
“Did you fail a quest or something?” Kimberly’s tone softens slightly.
“No, I quit being an adventurer. I just told my party.”
“Hmm…
“Well, I’m working for Kenji, so it’s not like I’m in immediate trouble. But still, if I don’t do work that makes money, I can’t send anything back to my family.”
And then, I’d have to end up drinking soup with no meat in it.
“So, what kind of work are you doing for Kenji?”
“Well, I remember the prices of things in the market, research new things, add up the numbers, and I also stick close to Kenji and ask the craftsmen about their work, and give advice to adventurers…”
“What’s that? So, you think you can do what Kenji does?”
Maybe I was a bit tipsy, feeling more confident than usual when Kimberly asked that question.
Otherwise, I wouldn’t have said something like this: “Of course I can! Leave it to me!”
