That night, I was too excited to sleep. I kept tossing and turning like a pancake on the bed.

Si Jingnian said it felt like a dream. For me, it was even more than that. It was a dream come true.

“Close your eyes.” She obediently shut them. I felt her eyelashes brush against my palm and removed my hand.

She kept her eyes shut, and I pouted as I finished eating.

“I’m done. You can open your eyes now.” I wiped my hands and told her.

She opened her eyes like I said.

It was Saturday, so she did not have work. As I packed up to leave, she stood nearby watching me.

Her gaze made my heart race. Being watched all the time felt eerie and nerve-wracking.

And she was someone I liked.

It made me so nervous I could not do anything properly. I kept messing up.

Finally, I finished packing and was about to leave.
