☼ The Little Alien’s Infinite-Stream Mukbang“Oh?” Ju Yan crossed her arms, the corners of her lips slightly raised.
“Yan-Yan, think about it. We all know what kind of child Xiao Fei is. She’s a good kid, just a bit delicate. She needs to be spoiled, pampered, and cared for. Could we really feel at ease leaving her in someone else’s care?”
Seeing that Ju Yan didn’t say anything, Gu Hupo continued, “Sigh, besides, if they could be together, then in the future neither Qing-Qing nor Zai-Zai would have to deal with in-laws, avoiding any weird situations.”
Ju Yan smiled and changed the subject, “Hupo, didn’t you say a few days ago that Xiao Fei is an Alpha and won’t like anyone other than an Omega?”
“Haven’t I been taught by you…” Gu Hupo blinked in grievance, “You even called me a straight-A cancer. Of course I have to change my old ideas.”
Ju Yan chuckled.
She spoke softly again, “It’s still too early to tell anything. It’s fine that the two kids get along well, but Hupo, don’t talk nonsense in front of them. They’re in the midst of their youth, who they like, who they want to be with, they should experience that on their own. We don’t need to interfere too much. At most, just keep an occasional eye on them, that’s enough.”
“Of course!” Gu Hupo nodded, “I’m only talking to you about this.”
Ju Yan smiled and nodded, then took Gu Hupo’s hand.
She knew Gu Hupo’s personality. Although she was now saying she hoped the two kids would be together, if they actually ended up together, this old father might be the first to jump up and try to break Gu Fei’s legs…of course, it was just talk, Gu Hupo would never be able to do it.
The two of them looked back at the bench. Gu Fei was pointing at the roller coaster, chattering something with a bright smile. Gu Qingqing tilted her head to look at her profile, her eyes bright and her smile gentle and shallow.
“Let’s go! Next stop!” Gu Hupo called out. Gu Fei immediately grabbed Gu Qingqing, jumped up from the bench, and cheerfully followed them.
…
…
…
In the evening, on the way home from the amusement park, Gu Fei was so tired that she lay limply on Gu Qingqing and was about to fall asleep.
In the front, Gu Hupo focused on driving, with upbeat music playing from the speakers, while Ju Yan sat in the passenger seat with her eyes closed, resting. When they arrived home, Ju Yan’s phone suddenly rang, and she answered the call in the garden with a serious expression. Gu Hupo and Gu Qingqing went to the kitchen to bring out the late-night snacks the nanny had prepared earlier, while Gu Fei, exhausted, lay motionless on the dining table.
“Ah——?” Gu Qingqing scooped a spoonful of white fungus porridge and brought it to Gu Fei’s mouth.
Gu Fei closed her eyes, tilted her head back, and opened her mouth.
Gu Qingqing gently guided the spoon to her mouth. Seeing her lazily close her lips and swallow, she didn’t immediately pull the spoon away; instead, she mischievously wiggled it a little.
Gu Fei finally lazily opened her eyes and gave Gu Qingqing a disgruntled glare, looking adorably fierce.
Ju Yan came in after finishing the phone call and happened to see the scene, shaking her head with a light laugh.
“Yan-Yan, who called?” Gu Hupo asked immediately.
“Old Master Wan,” Ju Yan said softly, “He’s about to celebrate his 80thbirthday, and the banquet is on the twenty-ninth of the Spring Festival. He asked if our family would like to attend. I figured we’d be at home doing nothing over the holiday anyway, so I agreed.”
Old Master Wan had personally founded Changgui Entertainment, a major powerhouse in the industry, and it was also Ju Yan’s former company. Over the years, Ju Yan had long since stepped away from show business, but she still kept in touch with the Wan family during festivals and holidays, especially since Old Master Wan had once personally brought her into the industry, treating her like a granddaughter. She had never forgotten that.
“Eh——?” Gu Hupo paused in surprise. “Aren’t you the one who hates banquets the most? How many people would Old Master Wan invite to his dinner? It’d be all noisy and chaotic. Why not just pay a private visit on New Year’s Eve?”
Ju Yan looked at Gu Fei and the others and chuckled, “It’s nice to take the two kids out for some fun.”
“That’s right.” Gu Hupo nodded.
Over the past six months, everyone in the Haicheng business district had heard that the Gu family had brought back a daughter from the countryside, yet no one had actually seen Gu Qingqing. This time, the main purpose was to take her out to meet people, so that she wouldn’t be bullied later on.
Gu Fei quietly listened from the side. She vaguely remembered that on the day Gu Qingqing arrived at their home, she had had a dream that included the scene of this very dinner. In the dream, she first ostracized Gu Qingqing in front of her mothers, forcing her to wear a simple little dress, and then at the banquet, she deliberately splashed water on Gu Qingqing, leaving her utterly embarrassed.
Fortunately, her “villainess” value had already maxed out at a hundred, or else the system would probably have made her act out the dream exactly as it happened. Gu Fei let out a sigh of relief.
The news that the Gu family would bring their two daughters to the dinner party quickly spread throughout the Haicheng business district.
On the night of the banquet.
When the families gathered together to chat, they inevitably talked about this matter.
Over the past six months, the Gu family hadn’t hidden Gu Qingqing away, and many people had seen her photos. Her appearance was almost an exact replica of Ju Yan’s: coldly beautiful like a pristine snow lotus, untouchable and elegant. Her bone structure clearly inherited traits from Gu Hupo, tall and slender, yet unlike an Alpha, she wasn’t bulky; instead, she appeared delicate and graceful.
As for Gu Fei…whether it was her slightly curled long hair, the cute dimples on her face, or her petite frame, there wasn’t a single feature that matched the Gu family. She bore absolutely no resemblance to Gu Qingqing.
Although the Gu family publicly claimed that Gu Qingqing was their daughter raised in the countryside, and Gu Fei’s twin sister, people in the circle had already noticed the truth. Talk of “twins” was really just a cover, like a real-and-fake heiress situation, said only for appearances.
Someone looked around and asked, “The banquet is about to officially start, why hasn’t the Gu family arrived yet?”
“The Gu family got themselves into this mess, who knows how chaotic it must be at home? Maybe the two kids are fighting like crazy. Of course they’d be late.” Muttered the eldest son of the Bai family during the day.
Bai Tian was over 30 years old and had not yet inherited the Bai family’s property. This was because he suffered some losses in business from the Gu family and was scolded several times by the old man. He still held a grudge against them.
His friend snickered along, saying, “I heard that Xiao Fei from the Gu family has always been spoiled rotten. How’s she going to handle the real heiress coming home? There’s going to be quite a show later.”
“This real heiress is really doomed, and she’s just an ordinary person, right? Even if she gets brought home, Xiao Fei from the Gu family won’t welcome her, and Sister Gu and Siter Ju would probably wish she didn’t exist at all,” Bai Tian said carelessly, whistling, “Sure, the real heiress is the biological daughter, but who the hell would hand over the inheritance to an ordinary person? Only someone crazy would. I’m actually kind of looking forward to seeing her pitiful expression later.”
Bai Tian spoke loudly, and everyone nearby could hear him clearly. Not far off, the Yi family’s gaze swept over, sharp and unfriendly.
Everyone in the circle knew that although Yi Junkun, the son of the Yi family, was just an ordinary person, the Yi family had always trained him as the heir. Bai Tian’s words not only insulted the Gu family but dragged the Yi family into it as well.
The Yi family’s parents didn’t take offense at a young man, but Yi Jun Kun raised his glass from a distance and toasted Bai Tian, “Uncle Bai Tian, Xiao Fei and Qing Qing actually get along very well at school, it’s not like what you said.”
Bai Tian snorted sharply, “Jun Kun, you’re still too young. No matter how good they seem to get along at school, it’s all an act. Tonight at this banquet, they’ll be competing for social standing and interests. How long do you think they can keep up the pretense of harmony? Let’s make a bet: if Gu Fei doesn’t bully the real heiress to tears today, I’ll finish this entire bottle of whiskey in one go! If she does, you drink, deal or not?”
Yi Junkun smiled gently, “…that’s not necessary.”
“Scared.” Bai Tian snapped his fingers. “Anyway, I think the Gu family will either show up with sour faces, or they’ll be in such a mess at home that they won’t be able to come.”
As if in response to Bai Tian’s words, the moment his voice fell, the background music in the banquet hall began to play. Old Master Wan slowly walked out from the upstairs private room, yet the Gu family still hadn’t arrived.
“The Gu family really isn’t coming, huh.” Bai Tian glanced smugly at Yi Junkun, then turned back toward Old Master Wan, who was coming down on the lift. His eyes suddenly widened in shock, filled with disbelief.
Old Master Wan’s hair was already completely white, his body slightly stooped, yet his eyes remained sharp and full of spirit. Just a faint glance from him was enough to make everyone in the hall instinctively feel respect. But at this moment, his gaze was filled with affection as he spoke softly to the person beside him. From time to time, he smiled kindly, wrinkles gathering on his face.
At Old Master Wan’s left side, Ju Yan supported him with a gentle smile, while Gu Hupo also stood beside her with a smile. On his other side, Old Master Wan was holding a young girl’s hand, speaking to her softly at that moment.
The young girl stood a little over 1.7 meters tall, dressed in an off-shoulder silver-white gown. Her smooth black hair cascaded down her back, adorned with tiny jeweled ornaments that sparkled like starlight under the hall’s lights. Beneath the dark hair, her skin was fair as jade, her features delicate and beautiful, carrying an ethereal, cool elegance, so strikingly similar to Ju Yan in her youth, perhaps even surpassing her in beauty.
It was obvious, the young girl was none other than the so-called “unfavored,” “shunned by her family,” and “bullied to tears by Gu Fei” real daughter, Gu Qingqing.
Gu Fei held Gu Qingqing tightly by the shoulders. She was dressed in a pale pink evening gown, though the color and style were different from Gu Qingqing’s, the details clearly showed they were a matching pair. A bright smile lit up Gu Fei’s face, and she occasionally chimed in with a playful remark that made Old Master Wan burst into hearty laughter. Gu Qingqing, too, would glance back from time to time, smiling as her eyes met hers.
The group looked every bit like a warm and harmonious family, there wasn’t the slightest trace of discord.
Bai Tian was dumbfounded and stood there, his face dark as hell, “How is it possible…?”
Yi Junkun’s gaze had been fixed on Gu Qingqing the entire time, paying Bai Tian no mind. A few of the idle young heirs who had overheard their conversation earlier, however, grinned as they uncorked a bottle of whiskey. Since they weren’t afraid of stirring up trouble, they cheerfully shoved it toward Bai Tian and winked, “Brother Tian, didn’t you say you’d down the whole bottle? Come on, come on, everyone’s watching.”
…
…
…
Time goes back to half an hour ago.
In the past, the Gu family always paid a private visit to the Wan family on New Year’s Eve and never attended the banquet. This time, however, they had set out a little earlier than usual, bringing gifts along to pay a visit to Old Master Wan.
In the spacious lounge, Old Master Wan sat alone with his eyes closed, resting. When he heard the sound of the Gu family’s visit, his eyes snapped half-open, his brows knitted tightly, and an overwhelming aura burst forth from him.
Old Master Wan had several Alphas and Omegas, but all of them were boys, he never had a daughter. He had always regarded Ju Yan as his own. In fact, he was one of the very first in their circle to know the truth: Gu Fei was the fake heiress, and the girl raised in the countryside, Gu Qingqing, was the real one. The matter of true and false daughters aside, with the Gu family’s vast wealth, how could those two children not end up turning against each other for the inheritance?
In the past six months, Ju Yan had sent Old Master Wan several photos of the two children, but he never looked at them. The reason was simple: Old Master Wan cared deeply for Xiao Fei. After all, he had once treated Gu Fei as his own granddaughter! But he also cherished Ju Yan’s biological daughter, Gu Qingqing. Both of them were precious to him, darlings of his heart, how could he possibly bear to choose one over the other?
Every time he thought of the two children, it felt as though the two halves of his heart were at war with each other, leaving Old Master Wan so frustrated that he could hardly bear it.
So he simply chose not to concern himself with the two children of the Gu family. Even today, he kept a stern face, having already decided that no matter which child the Gu family favored, he would give Gu Hupo and Ju Yan a fierce scolding, for the sake of venting his anger on behalf of his granddaughters!
Old Master Wan’s face was clearly full of anger, yet he still couldn’t help but glance toward the crack of the door.
At this time the door opened.
Old Master Wan gave a cough and sat up straight.
Gu Hupo came in carrying a pile of gifts and casually stacked them in front of Old Master Wan, introducing each one, “This is good for the elderly,” “That helps with health,” “And this one has such-and-such benefits”…
Although Old Master Wan didn’t lack any of these things, just listening to Gu Hupo’s cheerful voice made the anger on his face unconsciously ease a little.
Ju Yan also walked in slowly and gave him a smile, “Uncle Wan, Happy New Year.”
Old Master Wan gave a light snort, his gaze once again drifting toward the doorway.
Gu Fei’s little head popped in from the doorway, smiling like a sunflower, “Happy New Year, Grandpa Wan!”
“Happy New Year, Xiao Fei.” Old Master Wan couldn’t help but purse his lips into a smile, the wrinkles on his face bunching together. But the very next second, he straightened his expression again, “And your family Qing-…”
As expected, they hadn’t brought Qing-Qing along, clearly showing favoritism toward Gu Fei!
Before Old Master Wan could finish his words, Gu Fei came rushing in from outside, holding a young girl’s hand. She ran straight to sit beside him and said brightly, “Grandpa Wan, let me introduce you, this is my family Qing-Qing!”
The young girl also gave him a gentle smile and greeted, “Grandpa Wan.”
Gu Qingqing’s smile was gentle and soft, like the blossoms of spring.
Looking again, both children were dressed in evening gowns, carefully adorned to look beautiful, their temperaments bright and graceful.
At this, only a smile remained on Old Master Wan’s face.
“Your family’s Qing-Qing?” He looked at Gu Fei with a hearty smile.
Gu Fei proudly lifted her chin and tightened her arm around Gu Qinqing’s waist, “Of course she is!”
“Hahaha…yes, yes, yes.” Old Master Wan laughed, slapping his leg.
The few of them chatted for a while in the lounge, and only when the banquet officially began did they walk into the hall together, so the guests inside happened to witness this scene.
Gu Fei chatted with the old master for a bit more, then pulled Gu Qingqing along into the banquet hall to eat, drink, and have fun.
Yi Junkun’s gaze remained fixed on Gu Qingqing. He had always held a slight fondness for her before, but it had only ever been that, just a faint affection. Yet now, seeing her in a gown, standing beneath the dazzling lights of the banquet hall, she seemed as radiant as a goddess. Every subtle movement, every smile she made, captured all of his attention.
Father Yi followed his son’s gaze, instantly understanding. He patted Yi Junkun’s shoulder with a knowing smile and said, “If you like her, why not invite her for a dance?”
Yi Junkun gripped the wine glass nervously and nodded.
…
…
…
Gu Fei dragged Gu Qingqing over to the snacks section of the banquet hall. Her eyes sparkled at the sight of all the pastries, treats, and drinks, “Gu Qingqing,” She asked eagerly, “what do you want to eat?”
“Anything’s fine,” Gu Qingqing replied softly, her tone gentle and obedient.
Gu Fei asked, “Want some cupcakes?” Seeing Gu Qingqing nod, she immediately picked up two cream cupcakes, one she stuffed into her own mouth, and the other she lifted up to Gu Qingqing’s lips.
Gu Fei had thought Gu Qingqing would reach out to take the cupcake with her hand, but to her surprise, she obediently opened her mouth and bit into it, naturally accepting her feeding.
Gu Fei’s eyes curved into a bright smile. She really liked Gu Qingqing’s obedient and well-behaved appearance. Yet, as time went on and they grew more familiar with each other, Gu Qingqing had become less and less docile in front of her, sometimes even showing a bit of mischievousness.
“Ice cream?” Taking advantage of the rare moment when Gu Qingqing was being obedient, Gu Fei picked up a small piece of ice cream to feed her again.
Strawberry, blueberry, cilantro, chocolate…Gu Fei tried each flavor of ice cream ball, and fed each one to Gu Qingqing as well. She discovered that no matter what she fed her, Gu Qingqing would gladly accept it. But when she ate the strawberry one, Gu Qingqing’s eyes curved up involuntarily, clearly showing she liked it very much.
So Gu Fei picked up another small scoop of strawberry ice cream and brought it to Gu Qingqing’s lips.
Gu Qingqing opened her mouth obediently.
The next second, she watched as the ice cream swayed right in front of her eyes, only to be sent into Gu Fei’s mouth instead.
Gu Qingqing froze for a moment, tilted her head, and blinked her eyes.
Gu Fei burst into laughter, then reached out to rub her hair, making the tiny diamonds in her locks sparkle brilliantly.
Only then did Gu Fei pick up another small strawberry ice cream ball, Gu Qingqing ate half, and she ate the other half.
After finishing the little snacks, Gu Fei turned her attention to the nearby drinks area, “What do you want to drink?”
Gu Qingqing didn’t answer, but glanced at the cocktail beside her.
Gu Fei shook her head vigorously, “No alcohol! What if we both get drunk?”
She didn’t mind getting drunk herself, after all, it wouldn’t always happen that she hit her susceptible period every time. But if Gu Qingqing got drunk, she would end up crying, and that thought made her heart ache.
Without waiting for a response, Gu Fei grabbed two cups of strawberry milk foam, handing one straight to Gu Qingqing, “Just drink this one!”
“Alright, I’ll listen to you, Baby Fei,” Gu Qingqing said with a soft laugh.
“That’s more like it,” Gu Fei felt a little light-headed, coaxed by Gu Qingqing’s obedient voice. She looped an arm through Gu Qingqing’s and asked, “Shall we go watch the others dance?”
Just as Gu Fei finished speaking, a shy male voice rang out, “Classmate Qing-Qing, Classmate Xiao Fei, we meet again.”
Yi Junkun walked up to the two of them, raised his glass and clinked it with them.
“You’re that..Yi Junkun?” Gu Fei frowned, tilting her head for a while before she finally remembered the boy’s name. She didn’t have much fondness for the Rocket Class students and instinctively took a step back.
“Classmate Yi, long time no see.” Gu Qingqing said in a calm voice.
When Gu Fei tilted her head, she saw that Gu Qingqing’s previously obedient expression had completely vanished. Now she stood upright, exuding a cool and composed aura, her tone polite but distant.
Even those eyes that were usually as clear as a deer were filled with a cold light.
Yi Junkun awkwardly raised his glass and clinked it gently against Gu Qingqing’s.
…
…
…
Meanwhile, on the other side.
After Old Master Wan made a brief appearance and then retired, Gu Hupo was holding Ju Yan, intending to head to the dance floor, when the head of the Yi family approached.
“Ms. Gu, Ms. Ju, long time no see,” Yi Bo’an greeted them politely with a smile, though his gaze drifted off into the distance.
Following his gaze, one could see in the corner of the hall the three children from the Gu and Yi families standing together. From a distance, it appeared that Yi Junkun was clinking glasses with Gu Qingqing, and the two were chatting happily.
Yi Bo’an smiled warmly and said, “I heard that among all the students in both the International and Regular classes, only Xiao Jun and Qing-Qing are ordinary people.”
Yi Bo’an’s intention was clear. Although his son Yi Junkun was an ordinary person, he was the only child and thus the sole heir. From Yi Bo’an’s perspective, even though Gu Qingqing was the biological child of the Gu family, they would never hand over their inheritance to an ordinary person. By contrast, Gu Fei, being an Alpha and personally raised by them, was the optimal choice to inherit the family fortune.
As for Gu Qingqing, an ordinary person, marrying into the Yi family would be the best thing for the two families to join forces.
Ju Yan, however, seemed not to grasp his implication, smiling politely as she replied, “Yes, in modern society, ordinary people have always been few in number.”
Yi Bo’an was momentarily taken aback, then decided to speak bluntly, “It seems those two kids get along quite well. I think they’d make a good match…”
Before Yi Bo’an could finish the rest of his sentence about “a marriage between our two families”, Gu Hupo laughed loudly and said, “A good match? How come I didn’t notice?”
In the distance, Yi Junkun just put down his wine glass, bowed gently to Gu Qingqing, and invited her to the dance floor to dance with him.
A burst of cheering went up around them.
Yi Junkun wore a black suit, his features delicate and expression gentle. Stray strands of hair fell over his forehead, highlighting his fair skin. At this moment, he looked just like a prince from a fairy tale.
And Gu Qingqing, dressed in her sparkling gown, looked every bit like a princess.
From a distance, Yi Bo’an was still watching, but before he could even show a pleased smile, his expression froze.
Gu Qingqing smiled faintly and shook her head, politely refusing Yi Junkun. Even from such a distance, Yi Bo’an could sense the aloofness and cool detachment hidden in her smile. Yi Junkun awkwardly scratched his head, embarrassment nearly spilling over, which made Yi Bo’an sigh in exasperation, lamenting his inability to instill more confidence in the boy.
Then the next second, Gu Fei took Gu Qingqing’s hand.
Under everyone’s gaze, the two princesses held hands and walked together into the center of the dance floor, waltzing gracefully under the dazzling lights.
…
…
…
On the dance floor, neither Gu Fei nor Gu Qingqing really knew how to dance. They simply struck poses and clumsily moved along, mimicking the people around them.
Gu Fei looked into Gu Qingqing’s eyes and asked curiously, “Gu Qingqing, why are you so cold to that classmate Yi?”
Gu Qingqing treated her and Yi Junkun like two completely different people.
Gu Qingqing, the two-faced little liar.
Heh.
Gu Fei hummed softly in her heart, yet couldn’t explain why, a vague sense of pride quietly swelled within her.
“Because you said none of the Rocket Class are good people, I have to listen to you,” Gu Qingqing lowered her head slightly, leaning close to her ear and whispering, “Gu Xiao Fei, I’ll only be good to you.”
Gu Qingqing’s voice was very soft, and her breath was as fragrant as an orchid, softly falling on the tip of Gu Fei’s ear.
Gu Fei froze for a moment, her steps faltering slightly. Gu Qingqing gently steadied her by the waist. When she turned her head a little, she met Gu Qingqing’s eyes, dark as the night sky, and suddenly, all she felt inside was a warmth that left her heart soft and tender.
How strange, she hadn’t even had any alcohol, so why did she still feel a little tipsy?
