Sunnyshies: This chapter is equivalent of three chapters…man, its so long (T▽T). I think the author when all out in this first locked chapter in the raws. Anyway, heads up! Beginning with this three-chapter long chapter, each upcoming chapters will be the length of two normal chapters. (つ﹏⊂)

At dawn, when Gu Qingqing opened her eyes, she saw the entire room bathed in sunlight. The wood grain on the floor was clearly visible, delicate like the texture of a chiffon cake.

The air conditioner was still on, and the air was a little cold, but the bed was warm. She sniffed and immediately smelled the warm fragrance of shower gel, which was sweet and not like the sea salt shower gel that Gu Qingqing usually used.

Gu Qingqing suddenly realized something and immediately looked down, only to see Gu Fei sprawled beside her like an octopus, her fingers tightly wrapped around Gu Qingqing’s neck. A few strands of Gu Fei’s slightly curled long hair had slipped into Gu Qingqing’s pajamas, bringing a faint ticklish sensation.

Gu Fei was sleeping soundly, and from time to time her long and even breath sprayed on her shoulders.

Gu Qingqing’s body tensed slightly. She had no idea how they ended up sleeping like this last night, her pajama top had slipped off one shoulder, and if she moved even just a little, she’d brush against Gu Fei’s nose, cheek…or the corner of her lips.

Gu Fei’s long hair had fallen aside, revealing the slightly reddened gland at the nape of her neck, a clear sign of her susceptibility period. Though the color had faded significantly since last night, it still drew the eye irresistibly. At the same time, her body temperature seemed just a bit higher than usual.

Gu Qingqing was an ordinary person, so she couldn’t smell or sense the presence of an Alpha’s pheromones. However, whether it was just her imagination or not, she couldn’t tell. All she knew was that Gu Fei’s presence felt overwhelmingly strong, impossible to ignore.

Gu Qingqing had slept with Gu Yuan before, but the feeling of sleeping with Gu Fei was completely different. It felt like her own body temperature had risen as well, her whole body was warm, soft, and tingling, making her too nervous to move.

But last night……how did Gu Fei end up sleeping in her room? Was it because they stayed up too late playing games and accidentally fell asleep? Or……was it for some other reason?

Gu Qingqing tried hard to recall, and suddenly she caught a glimpse of the turned-off desk lamp out of the corner of her eye. She blinked in surprise…she never turned off the lights.

Gu Qingqing probably guessed what was going on.

After she was stunned for a few seconds, she felt her face burning red. She no longer cared about the discomfort of her body being in contact with Gu Fei, and instinctively buried her head in Gu Fei’s arms.

A soft, embarrassed “ngh” escaped her throat.

…

…

When Gu Fei woke up, the sun was shining brightly.

Gu Qingqing’s thin body shrank in her arms. Gu Fei was stunned for a few seconds before she remembered that Gu Qingqing had cried for no reason last night and she stayed to accompany her. Looking at Gu Qingqing curled up like a kitten, Gu Fei breathed a sigh of relief.

Now the two of them were very close, but Gu Fei could no longer smell the scent of Gu Qingqing’s shower gel. Instead, it was all the scent of her pheromones…Gu Fei was stunned, and the corners of her mouth twitched slightly.

She almost forgot, she was currently in her rut! Although she could control the release of her pheromones while awake, once asleep, it was completely out of her hands. Especially since she’d gotten too caught up playing games last night…and had even torn off her barrier patch.

Now Gu Qingqing’s body and the entire room are filled with the smell of her pheromones!

“Hmm…” At this moment, Gu Qingqing in her arms moved a little, raised her head and looked at her, with mist in her eyes, “Good morning, Gu Fei.”

Gu Qingqing’s voice was no different from usual, and her expression was as calm as usual, with a faint smile on her lips, as if she didn’t feel embarrassed at all about them sleeping together.

Gu Fei’s head suddenly exploded.

“Go-good morning!” Gu Fei guiltily turned her head away. Not waiting for Gu Qingqing to say anything else, she quickly scrambled out of bed, snatched up her phone to check the time, and dashed toward her own room, “It’s already nine-thirty! We’re late, Gu Qingqing, hurry up and wash up and change, we have to get to school, wu——”

Gu Qingqing slowly sat up, looked at the open door, tilted her head and smiled gently.

…

…

Before leaving, Gu Fei picked up the strawberry-flavored blocking agent and sprayed it all over Gu Qingqing.

Gu Qingqing blinked in confusion.

“Y-you… you’re covered in my pheromones right now. If our classmates smell it, it’ll be really weird!” Gu Fei muttered under her breath, turning her head away. Then she quickly changed the subject, blurting, “Don’t worry about those little things! What matters is getting to school. If we hurry, we’ll make it just in time for the big recess!”

Gu Fei ran forward a few steps, and seeing that Gu Qingqing didn’t catch up, she subconsciously turned back and grabbed her wrist.

At ten in the morning, sunlight filtered through the dense canopy of trees, casting dappled patches of light onto the flagstone path below.

Two young girls ran hand in hand along the shaded path, carefree and laughing, their long hair fluttering in the wind. Gu Fei wasn’t running fast, and Gu Qingqing followed just behind her. Suddenly, Gu Qingqing looked up at the sky, the clear blue expanse was partially hidden by the lush canopy overhead. Sunlight filtered through the gaps between the leaves, shining down in dazzling streaks that made her squint.

Gu Qingqing looked up at the sky, then looked down at Gu Fei who was pulling her to run. As if infected by her, a bright smile that had never appeared before appeared on her cheeks.

Seeing that Gu Fei could no longer run, Gu Qingqing quickened her pace and held onto Gu Fei’s fingers.

Light and shadow danced across their interlaced fingers.

A few minutes later, they stopped at the school gate. Gu Fei bent down and gasped loudly. Looking at the closed school gate, the corners of her eyes twitched involuntarily.

…she actually forgot that today was Saturday and there was no school.

It was all Gu Qingqing’s fault! It was bad enough she clung to her to play games, but then she curled up in her arms and slept there all night too, leaving her brain all foggy...ugh! Gu Fei turned around with a pout of blame, shooting Gu Qingqing a fierce glare.

Gu Qingqing tilted her head innocently and smiled faintly at her.

Gu Fei:“……”

Gu Fei panted for a while, snorted in her heart, stood up and walked back, “Let’s go home!”

Gu Qingqing immediately followed her, walking beside her not too close but not too far.

Gu Fei’s fingers curled slightly to the side, seemingly unintentionally. Gu Qingqing’s eyes curved with a faint smile as she reached out to hook her fingers around hers. There was still a small distance between them, yet their fingers swayed gently, loosely linked together.

After walking quietly for a while, Gu Qingqing turned her head to look at Gu Fei’s side profile. Her softly curled long hair draped over her shoulders, her delicate and petite cheeks accentuating a slender, high-bridged nose……no matter how she looked at her, she was undeniably adorable, like a porcelain doll.

Gu Qingqing suddenly spoke softly, “BabyFei?”

When Gu Qingqing first heard Gu Hupo call Gu Fei by the nickname “Zai-Zai“, she thought Gu Fei wouldn’t like it. After all, even Gu Yuan had only called her Bao-Bao when she was a child. Once she grew older and felt embarrassed, Gu Yuan stopped. Gu Qingqing assumed Gu Fei would be the same. But to her surprise, last night she saw that Gu Fei’s game ID was actually “BabyFei.”

Does she like this nickname?

As soon as Gu Qingqing spoke, Gu Fei’s little finger curled up.

The next second, Gu Fei quietly slipped her fingers away from Gu Qingqing’s hand and lowered her head, quickening her pace. Gu Qingqing blinked and hurriedly followed her, wondering if she was a little too much, calling her by her nickname so affectionately when they had only known each other for less than a month.

Gu Qingqing was still carefully thinking about how to apologize when she turned her head slightly, and caught sight of Gu Fei’s ear, half-hidden by her hair, glowing bright red under the dappled sunlight. Even the gland at the back of her neck seemed noticeably redder.

Gu Qingqing was stunned for a moment.

“Baby…Fei?” She moved closer and called out softly again tentatively.

Sure enough, Gu Fei’s petite body trembled. She covered her face and shook her head vigorously, then turned her head and glared at her fiercely, saying in a fierce voice, “Gu! Qing! Qing! No, don’t call me that!”

“Then…” Gu Qingqing stood up straight, paused, and raised the last word, “Sister Fei?”

Gu Fei was completely stunned, her whole face turning as red as a tomato. She thought that after acting so fierce, at the very least, Gu Qingqing would tone it down a bit! Grinding her teeth with her head down, Gu Fei then looked up again and reached out to fiercely pinch both of Gu Qingqing’s cheeks.

A soft, kitten-like growl came from her throat, adorably fierce.

Gu Qingqing stood perfectly still, eyes half-lidded, letting Gu Fei pinch her cheeks to her heart’s content.

“Gu Qingqing, you are not allowed to call me BabyFei, and you are certainly not allowed to call me Sister Fei!” Gu Fei said fiercely.

“But if I call you by your name…wouldn’t that feel a bit…mm, too distant?” Gu Qingqing mumbled, her voice slightly muffled as her cheeks were being pinched.

“Maybe it is…pei, pei, pei!” Gu Fei suddenly shook her head hard. “We’re not even that close!”

“We’re…not close?” Gu Qingqing’s voice dropped, and her eyes fell sadly downward, a hint of disappointment in her gaze.

Gu Fei paused for a moment, then corrected herself, “Well… I guess we’re not that unfamiliar either.”

“That……?”

“You’re still not allowed to call me Baby Fei!” Gu Fei thought for a moment, then hesitated and added, “When we’re at home and no one’s around, maybe…maybe you can call me that, but only twice a week! Not three—just two times, okay? But not in public, never! Absolutely not! Got it?”

Gu Qingqing nodded, drawing out her voice sweetly, “Okaaaay——”

Gu Fei then let go of her cheek, turned around and walked forward with her head raised. After a few steps, she once again stretched out her little finger to the side, and Gu Qingqing immediately reached out and hooked it.

After returning home to rest for a while and having lunch, Gu Qingqing’s tutor arrived. The teacher, Luo Xiaoyang, was a gentle-tempered omega with glasses and a petite frame.  She was also the daughter of Ju Yan’s friend and had met Gu Fei a few times before. So Gu Fei only stayed in the study with Gu Qingqing for a short while. Once they finished their introductions, she felt at ease and went back to her own room.

Just as she stepped out the door, Gu Fei’s phone lit up, Xi Wan had sent several messages in a row;

[Gu Fei! Gu Xiao Fei! The weather is nice today, how about going out to play? ]

[A new cat café just opened in the city! I know you love cuddling cats, so I already reserved us a spot! You can bring Gu Qingqing too if you want! Address: xxx.]

[I even asked out the class monitor, hehehe ovvvvo!!! No matter what, Gu Fei, you have to come and be my wingman aaaaahhhhh!]

Class monitor Liu Xiaoxiao was a delicate and gentle omega, with looks that particularly appealed to alphas, she was the class belle. Xi Wan, on the other hand, was often teased as the class hunk because of her handsome appearance. She frequently told Gu Fei that she and Liu Xiaoxiao were simply a match made in heaven.

Unfortunately, while many omegas in the class liked Xi Wan, Liu Xiaoxiao wasn’t one of them. The reason was simple, they had known each other since kindergarten, and Liu Xiaoxiao was well aware that despite Xi Wan’s handsome appearance, her brain didn’t quite keep up. And so, for all these years, Xi Wan’s relentless pursuit of Liu Xiaoxiao had always ended in vain.

Gu Fei thought she had nothing to do that afternoon anyway, so she agreed to Xi Wan’s invitation: [I’ll be there in half an hour.]

“Um, Sister Luo…I’m going out for a bit.” Gu Fei gently knocked on the study door, then looked at Gu Qingqing and continued, “Qing-Qing, I’ll be back before dinner. Just focus on your classes, don’t worry about me.”

Gu Qingqing nodded, but the tip of the pen that was writing on the paper paused for a moment.

The study door had been closed again, and the tutor smiled gently, “Then let’s continue…”

“Yeah.” Gu Qingqing lowered her eyes and looked back at the textbook, hiding the absent-mindedness in her eyes.

…

…

When Gu Fei rushed to the cat cafe, Xi Wan was already sitting inside and waved at her exaggeratedly through the glass.

Gu Fei sat next to her and looked around, “Where’s Liu Xiaoxiao?”

“Wuu…she didn’t come. I got stood up again.” Xi Wan’s expression instantly fell, “What about Gu Qingqing? She still doesn’t want to come out and see me? Wuwuwu, getting stood up by my Xiao-Xiao is bad enough, but now even your little beauty stood me up. No Xiaoxiao, no little beauty—I’m heartbroken to death.”

“Gu Qingqing has tutoring and can’t come.” Gu Fei picked up a fluffy ragdoll cat and put it in Xi Wan’s arms, “Here, it will keep you company.”

Xi Wan hugged her cat and cried her heart out, burying her face in the cat’s belly and taking several deep sniffs, like a total pervert.

Gu Fei also picked up a kitten and chatted with Xi Wan while petting the cat.

“Gu Fei, do you know that the movie that was released a few days ago is pretty good? It’s about the forbidden love between two Alphas…”

Gu Fei’s attention was suddenly drawn to a little yellow cat outside the glass window. The stray kitten had patchy, dirty-looking fur and a thin, frail body, forming a stark contrast to the pampered, sleek-furred cats inside the café.

Gu Fei suddenly remembered the little cat in Gu Qingqing’s circle of friends, it had the same fur color. For some reason, her thoughts drifted back to Gu Qingqing, to the way she had curled up into a ball and whimpered pitifully the night before. Gu Fei’s brows gradually furrowed.

“Gu Fei? Gu Xiao Fei? What are you daydreaming about?” Xi Wan stretched out her hand and waved it in front of Gu Fei’s eyes.

Gu Fei was still in her susceptibility period, and her thoughts were a little scattered. At that moment, she hadn’t fully come to her senses and almost subconsciously murmured, “I was just thinking…why is my Qing-Qing afraid of the dark?”

“What?” Xi Wan’s voice was a little loud, “You said Gu Qingqing is afraid of the dark? She looks so cool and sassy, this shouldn’t be the case.”

Gu Fei realized what she had said and covered her cheeks with her fingers in confusion. After a while, she continued, “Maybe she was recuperating in the countryside before, and the lighting conditions there were not very good.”

“That’s true…” Xi Wan nodded. “Most horror movies do take place in the countryside. Like that one…uh, The Dead in the Deep Mountains?”

The two recalled the horror movie and shuddered at the same time.

Gu Fei poked at her own cheek gloomily and said, “Gu Qingqing is afraid of the dark, so I noticed…she never sleeps with the lights off. Except last night…I—I stayed with her the whole night, and only then did she turn the lights off. But sleeping with the lights on isn’t good for the body, and I don’t know what to do about it.”

“That’s easy. Why don’t you sleep with her from now on?” Xi Wan suggested.

“No—no way!” Gu Fei immediately shook her head hard. “I’m an Alpha, and she’s just an ordinary person. We’re not even the same gender, how can we sleep together often? This morning when I woke up, the whole room smelled like my pheromones, and she was covered in them too. It just feels kind of weird.”

“What’s the big deal? I sleep with my sister all the time, and she’s an omega,” Xi Wan said casually. “It’s totally normal for family members to get each other’s scent on them. It’s not like she’s a stranger. As long as everyone can control their instincts, what’s wrong with just sleeping together? After you differentiated, didn’t you always cling to Aunt Ju for hugs? I saw it several times during parent-teacher meetings.”

Gu Fei thought about it and felt that what Xi Wan said made sense. Then she thought again, Gu Qingqing would also differentiate into an Alpha in the future, so what’s wrong with two alphas sleeping together?

“Mm…then I’ll go back and talk it over with Gu Qingqing, see what she thinks,” Gu Fei said softly.

Xi Wan suddenly poked Gu Fei and made a gesture to ask her to look out the window.

A seventeen- or eighteen-year-old boy was gently feeding a stray yellow cat outside with a can of cat food. His side profile was handsome and spirited, and he wore a black-and-white apron, looking like a staff member at the cat café.

After the boy finished feeding the cats and returned to the cat cafe, Xi Wan whispered, “Gu Fei, do you think he looks familiar?”

Gu Fei thought seriously for a moment. “…he does seem a bit familiar. Is he from our school too?”

“Maybe,” Xi Wan said. “He is quite handsome, probably really popular with omegas. It’s just a shame he’s an ordinary person.”

Gu Fei rolled her eyes at her, but still went along with her words, “Not as handsome as you.”

Xi Wan smiled happily.

Neither of them took this little episode to heart. They sat in the cat cafe for a while and went home on time at five in the afternoon.

It was Saturday today, so Gu Fei didn’t have to tutor Gu Qingqing in the evening. After nightfall, as usual, Gu Fei brought a bowl of pear soup into Gu Qingqing’s room. Gu Qingqing was sitting at the desk doing self-study, with practice exercises left by the tutoring teacher spread out in front of her.

“Gu Fei, did you go out to play with Xi Wan today?” Gu Qingqing whispered.

“Well, we chatted in the cat cafe for the whole afternoon.” Gu Fei recalled, “She recommended a movie to me. It seems to be about two Alphas getting together. I heard it’s very touching.”

Gu Qingqing was holding the bowl of soup, and the scene of Xi Wan helping Gu Fei put on the barrier patch suddenly flashed before her eyes. Her eyelashes trembled slightly, “Two Alphas can be together?”

“Yes, not only Alphas, but Omegas can also be together. Although homosexuals account for a small proportion of the population, they have been increasingly accepted by the public in recent years.” Gu Fei explained while chewing a pear.

Gu Qingqing lowered her head to hide her twinkling eyes, “I rarely heard of such things in the countryside before.”

Don’t even mention same-sex relationships, even single omega mothers were subjected to discrimination from those around them. Gu Yuan had raised her alone all the way, and who knows how much hardship she had endured.

Gu Fei couldn’t see Gu Qingqing’s expression at the moment, but she could feel that she seemed to be in a low mood.

Gu Fei blinked, leaned forward, and looked up with a smile, “Gu Qingqing, don’t you have the day off tomorrow? Want to go watch a movie with me?”

The girl has curved eyebrows, two cute dimples on her cheeks, and a very contagious smile.

Gu Qingqing’s thoughts were disrupted by Gu Fei’s smile. She was stunned for a moment, then smiled and nodded, “Yeah.”

“Then tomorrow morning…no, see you in a bit!” Before Gu Qingqing could react to the meaning behind her words, Gu Fei quickly stood up and dashed back to her room. A few minutes later, Gu Fei returned, holding her pillow and blanket, and knocked on Gu Qingqing’s door again.

After Gu Qingqing opened the door, she tilted her head in confusion at first, then realized something, and the tip of her tongue pressed against her palate inexplicably nervously.

Gu Fei averted her gaze and pretended to casually stare at the ceiling. Her toes tapped lightly against the floor as she drawled nonchalantly, “Gu Qingqing, your bed’s a bit softer than mine, so I thought I’d sleep over here tonight.”

Gu Fei didn’t know how to tell Gu Qingqing about this matter——

Um, Gu Qingqing, aren’t you afraid of the dark? So…I came to sleep with you, how about it?

No, no, no, if she said that, not only would Gu Qingqing feel awkward, Gu Fei herself would die of embarrassment! There’s no way she’d admit that she came over just because she found out Gu Qingqing was afraid of the dark!

So she simply used the excuse that “the bed was softer”.

Gu Qingqing is a smart person, she should understand what Gu Fei really means. If she’s unwilling, then just forget it.

Time seemed to stand still for a moment.

Gu Qingqing licked her lips and cautiously took a step back to make way for Gu Fei.

Gu Fei walked quickly to the bed with the quilt in her arms and raised her eyebrows, “Are you sleeping inside or outside?”

“Anything’s fine,” Gu Qingqing said softly.

“The inside, then?” People who are afraid of the dark usually lack a sense of security, sleeping on the inside should help, right? Seeing Gu Qingqing nod, Gu Fei laid his own blanket on the outer side of the bed.

There was a gap of about ten centimeters between the two quilts. After thinking for a moment, Gu Fei brought over a long cat-shaped plush toy and placed it in the space between them.

“Gu Qingqing, although I came over to keep you company——ugh, I mean, to crash on your bed, we’re still of different genders, so we shouldn’t, y-you know, sleep so close like last night.”

Gu Fei said firmly, “From now on, the cat plushie is the boundary! You can hug the cat while you sleep, but you can’t scoot over and hug me.”

Gu Qingqing still had a faint smile on her face, but Gu Fei felt that there were ripples in her eyes, as if she was sad.

After two seconds of silence, Gu Fei’s voice suddenly softened, “…okay?”

“Okay.” Gu Qingqing nodded obediently, “I’ll listen to you.”

Gu Fei finally felt relieved and went to bed first, leaning against the headboard to play games. Gu Qingqing studied for a while and didn’t go to bed until the early morning.

The lights went out. In the darkness, Gu Qingqing’s body trembled instinctively. She turned to her side and met Gu Fei’s gaze in the dark, and just like that, a sense of calm washed over her. Carefully, she reached past the little cat plushie between them and gently hooked her finger around Gu Fei’s.

“Thank you, Gu Fei.” Gu Qingqing said in a whisper.

Gu Fei let out a soft, awkward “mm” sound, but she didn’t pull her hand away from Gu Qingqing’s.

…

…

On Sunday afternoon, Gu Fei called the driver Xiao Lu and asked him to take them to the cinema.

The AA love movie was indeed as touching as Xi Wan said. It told the story of a tall and handsome female Alpha and another petite and lovely female Alpha, who overcame numerous obstacles, went through hardships, and finally gained the recognition of their families.

Although society has become increasingly open, overall, the living environment for homosexuals was still very difficult.

As Gu Fei kept watching, she would occasionally scrunch her nose, “Ooh… they’re so pitiful.”

Gu Qingqing took a tissue and gently wiped her tears, but she was a little absent-minded about the content of the movie. Since she heard Gu Fei say that two alphas could also fall in love last night, she felt something was strange, but she couldn’t tell what was strange.

Especially…this movie was recommended to Gu Fei by Xi Wan.

At that moment, the movie screen flashed, shifting to a flashback of the two protagonists in high school. The petite female Alpha’s barrier patch had expired, and the other, more handsome female Alpha helped her put on a new one.

It was a delicate slow-motion shot, an utterly ordinary act like applying a scent-blocking patch to the back of the neck was filmed with an unexpected hint of sensuality.

Gu Qingqing’s mind flashed with Xi Wan’s face, and she remembered the scene where she helped Gu Fei put on the barrier patch, and her thoughts exploded.

Xi Wan and Gu Fei…?

The movie scenes and the memories in her mind kept interweaving, and Gu Qingqing finally came to a shocking conclusion; Xi Wan likes Gu Fei!

What about Gu Fei, does she like Xi Wan too?

Gu Qingqing’s fingers that were wiping Gu Fei’s tears suddenly stopped, and her expression froze uncontrollably for a moment.

“What is it?” Gu Fei noticed Gu Qingqing spacing out and turned her attention away from the movie, her voice still choked with emotion.

They were originally sitting on the couple’s sofa. Before, Gu Fei was looking at the screen seriously and Gu Qingqing didn’t feel anything. But now Gu Fei’s eyes were focused on her face, and her black pupils soaked with water droplets were so close to her that it seemed as if she could touch it if she moved a little further forward.

Gu Qingqing opened her mouth slightly, subconsciously wanting to ask Gu Fei what the relationship between her and Xi Wan was.

Is it like in the movies?

But at the same time, it seemed as if something was tickling Gu Qingqing’s heart, telling her not to ask anything, but to move forward and get closer——

The young couple in the front row were kissing, and the subtle sounds reached Gu Qingqing’s ears, arousing her senses.

Gu Qingqing’s body grew increasingly tense. Flustered, she turned her head away. “N-nothing.”

Gu Fei blinked in a daze before it clicked—Gu Qingqing must’ve been touched by the movie as well, but was too embarrassed to cry, so that’s why she acted like that!

“Gu Qingqing…” Gu Fei had originally meant to say, ‘Gu Qingqing, if you feel like crying, just cry, I’ll pretend not to notice.‘ But she had barely whispered the first three words when Gu Qingqing suddenly shrank back in a panic, retreating almost into the corner of the sofa.

Under the dim lights of the cinema, Gu Qingqing’s eyes sparkled like a pitiful little deer.

Gu Fei stretched out her hand as if possessed by a ghost and pinched Gu Qingqing’s cheek.

Soft and a little hot.

Gu Qingqing swallowed nervously, and an uncontrollable, soft “ngh” sound escaped her throat. At that exact moment, the movie’s background music happened to pause, allowing her gentle voice to float clearly into Gu Fei’s ears.

Gu Fei felt the back of her neck inexplicably start to heat up again, and her body grew soft and weak along with it.

……this annoying susceptible period.

“Alright, I won’t tease you anymore. Anyway, if you want to cry, just cry, I won’t laugh at you.” Gu Fei mumbled in a whispery voice, then scooted back and sat at the other end of the loveseat.

After the movie ended, Gu Fei sat clutching the popcorn bucket, quietly sobbing for quite a while before leaving with Gu Qingqing. The film had a powerful emotional punch, several people were still crying in their seats as they walked out.

Gu Fei and Gu Qingqing had just stepped out of the theater when a few guys from the back also happened to stand up. The moment they saw who was ahead of them, they started furiously winking and making exaggerated faces——

They had just seen Gu Qingqing dominating Gu Fei against the wall in the classroom a few days ago, and today they actually met them watching a movie!

Boy 1’s eyelids twitched wildly, “They are sitting in a couple’s seat!”

Boy 2 frowned and said, “It seems like Sister Fei even cried…!”

Boy 3 had a complicated expression, “Although the movie is about an AA relationship, it’s actually not easy for an Alpha to be with an ordinary person. Since we accidentally saw it, we should keep it a secret for Sister Fei!”

Boy 4 thought of the plot of the movie and put himself in Gu Fei and Gu Qingqing’s shoes, and he burst into tears, “Sister Fei’s got it rough, wuwuwu…”

…

…

Meanwhile at the Chen family.

Chen Xiaoxian went to school to harass Gu Fei after being warned of suspension, which made her father very angry. He told her to stay home and reflect on her actions.

Chen Xiaoxian was confined at home. Every time she thought about how Gu Fei had actually defended Gu Qingqing, her head throbbed unbearably. Gu Fei… her Gu Fei had actually taken Gu Qingqing’s side! How could that be possible?!

It must be an act!

Gu Fei must be afraid that Gu Hubo and Ju Yan would kick her out of the house—so she’s just pretending to please Gu Qingqing, trying to get on her good side. She has to be faking it!

But in Gu Fei’s heart, she must hate Gu Qingqing.

Since Gu Fei couldn’t lay a hand on Gu Qingqing herself, and even had to protect her, then she…she should help Gu Fei. A strange laugh slipped from Chen Xiaoxian’s throat. Like someone possessed, she quickly pulled up the academic portal and found the class schedule on the school’s official website.

On Monday, Gu Qingqing had PE at the same time as International Class A, while Gu Fei’s International Class B had music, so they conveniently wouldn’t run into each other!

Chen Xiaoxian’s lips curled into a dark smile as she eagerly sent a message to her Alpha bestie Qi Lizhen: [Zhen-Zhen, keep an eye on that little b*tch for me during PE tomorrow. She’s the reason I got grounded, there’s no way I’m letting her off without a lesson.]

Qi Lizhen quickly replied: [I’d love to help you, but Xiaoxian… I can’t afford to mess with Sister Fei. Isn’t she protecting that little b*tch now?]

Chen Xiaoxian: [Pei! Like she deserves Gu Fei’s protection? She’s totally faking it. Zhen-Zhen, haven’t you been wanting that DIO lipstick for ages? Help me deal with that little b*tch, and I’ll give you a whole set.]

Qi Lizhen: [Alright, alright, Xiaoxian, you’re the best. P.E. class tomorrow, right? I’ll keep an eye out. We’ll find someone to drag her over to the hockey field, strip her, give her a beating, and record the whole thing for you.]

…

…

During the music interest class on Monday, Gu Fei lazily lay by the window.

In the entire high school division, only the international classes had music lessons, and the lecture hall was right next to the sports field, so she could clearly see what was happening on the track just by glancing down. Gu Fei was decent in every subject except music; she was completely tone-deaf. Every music class, she’d sit by the window and slack off.

Today Xi Wan didn’t stick with her, but went to the front row to stick with Lu Xiaoxiao. Gu Fei didn’t even have anyone to talk to, so she just idly farmed in a game while staring blankly at the sports field.

Suddenly, Gu Fei’s eyes lit up.

There were lots of students on the field, swarming around like ants, but even from afar, Gu Qingqing stood among them.

So much so that Gu Fei spotted her at a glance.

At that moment, Gu Qingqing’s long hair was tied high in a ponytail, accentuating the clean lines of her slim, beautiful profile. Her slender figure stood tall and poised, and the ponytail swayed gently in the breeze, adding a touch of youthful energy to her otherwise cool and aloof aura.

“Gu Qingqing……” Gu Fei muttered before remembering that her school had two PE classes a week. She and Gu Qingqing had the same class on Wednesdays, but Monday just happened to avoid that overlap.

Which meant that from now on, she could sit by the window during every music class and quietly watch Gu Qingqing.

The moment that thought popped into Gu Fei’s head, she shook it off hard. Bah! Why—why would she want to look at Gu Qingqing?! Sure, Gu Qingqing was really good-looking, but didn’t she already see enough of her at home every day? What was the point of sneaking glances during class?

Gu Fei sat up straight and pulled the curtains closed.

But what if Gu Qingqing got bullied again during P.E.? The moment Gu Fei thought of those three delinquent students she had run into in Gu Qingqing’s class last time, a surge of anger immediately rose in her eyes.

So in order to protect Gu Qingqing, she still looked! But this was not called peeking at all, she was clearly looking openly!

Gu Fei nodded, and without any psychological burden, she pulled open the curtains again.

This caused the students next to her to look at her strangely.

Gu Fei quickly locked onto Gu Qingqing’s location. Her class had already gathered, and after the teacher spoke a few words, she asked the students to run in circles.

The warm-up for physical education class usually involves running three laps, 1,200 meters. Alphas and Betas must complete the whole process, but if ordinary people and Omegas can’t hold on, they can just run two laps.

After the first lap, the lineup in the regular class had already fallen into disarray, and Gu Qingqing moved from the back row to the middle. After the second lap, she had reached the front row. Quite a few students had already gone to sit on the side and rest, even some alphas and betas had quietly slipped away to slack off. By the third lap, Gu Qingqing’s steps had clearly grown heavy, but she didn’t stop. Instead, she kept up with the group and pushed herself to the very front.

Gu Fei frowned in confusion.

After the run, many students from the ordinary classes greeted Gu Qingqing and seemed to praise her for her performance. After the team disbanded and began to move freely, Gu Qingqing turned around and walked towards the school building.

Gu Qingqing’s steps were light and steady, nothing seemed off from behind. But from above, Gu Fei could clearly see her slightly flushed cheeks and the uneven rise and fall of her chest and abdomen.

She did not run three laps easily. On the contrary, she was obviously very tired, but she still persisted and pretended to be calm in front of everyone.

Gu Fei tried putting herself in Gu Qingqing’s shoes and imagined how she must be feeling right now, her lungs and abdomen probably aching badly, her breath dry and about to crack apart, and her legs sore and heavy.

Wu……

Gu Fei looked at the drink she had bought before class, it was still unopened. After hesitating for two seconds, she quietly ducked under the desk with the drink and slipped out while the teacher wasn’t looking.

Qi Lizhen had already contacted a few friends from the hockey team in advance, all tall, strong athletes, and all Alphas, more than enough to deal with an ordinary person like her. The moment they saw Gu Qingqing leave the sports field, they immediately followed her.

After following her for a while and getting completely out of the PE teacher’s line of sight, they exchanged glances —— take action!

They spread out, circling in from different directions, but after only a few steps, they suddenly froze in place, stunned on the spot.

Not far away, Gu Fei burst out of the music building with a bottle of drink in hand, stopping right in front of Gu Qingqing. Her face was slightly flushed, and she was bent over, catching her breath, but her eyes still carried a bold, carefree smile. She looked up at Gu Qingqing, twisted the cap open, and handed her the drink.

Gu Qingqing did not drink the water immediately, but put it to Gu Fei’s lips and let her drink it first.

Gu Fei, her face completely flushed, shook her head and snapped something at her with mock fierceness. Qi Lizhen and the others couldn’t hear what was said, they only saw Gu Qingqing smile softly and nod, her expression carrying a hint of indulgence.

Only after Gu Qingqing took a few small sips of the water did Gu Fei’s smile return. She nodded with satisfaction and pride, and the two of them instinctively hooked their pinkies together as they walked side by side toward the school building.

Qi Lizhen and her group stared in shock. After a long moment, one of the athletes finally spoke up with a frown, “Sister Li, this doesn’t add up. Didn’t you say Sister Fei hated Gu Qingqing and was only pretending to be nice to her?”

“You seriously gonna tell me that was all an act?!”

“I actually believed your damn lies.” A few of the athletes cursed under their breath as they walked off in frustration.

Qi Lizhen stood frozen in place for a long time before finally pulling out her phone and messaging Chen Xiaoxian: [Xiaoxian, did you get it wrong? I saw it with my own eyes. Sister Fei and Gu Qingqing really are close. I do feel bad for you, but I honestly can’t afford to go against Sister Fei. I really can’t help you with this.]

Chen Xiaoxian quickly called and snapped, “Qi Lizhen, what the hell do you mean by that?! You’re not even willing to help me deal with Gu Qingqing? And you call yourself an Alpha?! What a useless coward!”

“I…” No Alpha could stand being mocked by an Omega like that. Qi Lizhen felt a wave of frustration rise in her chest. Staring at the path Gu Fei and Gu Qingqing had just walked down, her anger surged. Then, in a biting, sarcastic tone, she snapped at Chen Xiaoxian, “Yeah, that’s right, I’m a coward. I’m scared of Sister Fei’s pheromones. Chen Xiaoxian, if you hate Gu Qingqing so much, why don’t you come to school and deal with her yourself? Why should a coward like me do your dirty work?”

“You——!” Chen Xiaoxian was so angry that she hung up the phone.

Chen Xiaoxian stared at her phone with reddened eyes for a long time, gritting her teeth. “Gu Qingqing…just you wait.”

Fine. If the Alphas at school didn’t dare lay a hand on Gu Qingqing, then she’d find a way to lure Gu Fei away, and bring in Alphas from outside the school!
