Chapter 80: Immense Luck! Disciple Pays Homage to the Venerable Immortal Master!

After confirming that no one else was nearby, Li Yan approached the stone coffin for a closer look.

The moment he neared it, a familiar aura emanated from the coffin. He was certain: Obscured Moon’s body lay within.

But how to open the coffin? That was the question.

The old foxes of the Blood Core Realm had struggled for hours without success. Even with his superior skills, Li Yan figured it would take him a considerable amount of time.

“This coffin is sealed tight. How am I supposed to—”

Just as he stood before it, pondering how to open it quickly, the coffin seemed to sense his presence. The massive lid began to slowly creak open on its own!

With a deep, grinding sound of stone against stone, the heavy coffin opened of its own accord.

Li Yan was taken aback. Could it be that the Fairy had imbued the coffin with an Immortal Art that automatically opened when he, Li Yan, approached?

Meanwhile, the Cinder Annihilation Fairy’s thoughts echoed through the Demonic Eye at his waist:

Strange… why would Obscured Moon’s coffin open for this brat?

What connection does he have to Obscured Moon?

Clearly, the coffin’s opening wasn’t random. Obscured Moon must have set it up long ago to open only when Li Yan arrived.

Forcing down his astonishment, Li Yan hurried to the stone coffin and peered inside.

A woman lay motionless within, clad in a simple white feather robe, as if merely asleep. Her raven hair cascaded like a waterfall beside her, and her skin shone like fresh snow. Her lips were a delicate vermilion, and a faint wisp of melancholy clung to the corners of her mouth. Her beauty remained untouched by time, her immortal body uncorrupted, bearing no trace of the ages.

For tens of thousands of years, she had rested undisturbed in the coffin, her physical form perfectly preserved. Though she appeared unharmed and at peace, her Dantian was shattered, and less than a tenth of her three souls and seven spirits remained intact. Yet compared to their previous encounter, when she had transformed into a white-haired Blood Corpse, she had at least retained her original form this time.

As Li Yan drew closer, the corpse’s right hand slowly rose, reaching out from the coffin as if grasping for something. After a moment’s hesitation, Li Yan took Obscured Moon’s small hand.

Instantly, the world spun violently around him!

– Host has been pulled into the Obscured Moon Fairy’s Dream Realm. Side Effect Reversal activated. Commencing entry into the Battle of the God’s Tomb, over thirty thousand years in the past.

– Side Effect Reversal initiated. Host activating Undying Immortal Body.

– Host’s second entry into the Obscured Moon Fairy’s Dream Realm. Side Effect Enhancement activated. 1% probability of triggering [Great Luck].

Great Luck?

Li Yan had never encountered this before and had no idea what it meant.

Still, it sounded like something beneficial. “Great Luck”… could it mean he’d start getting incredibly lucky?

As Li Yan pondered this, the distorted scenery before him gradually sharpened into focus.

A chorus of gasps rose from the surrounding crowd.

“An Immortal Clan member!”

The respectful address from an elder snapped Li Yan back to reality. His vision cleared, revealing the Battle of the God’s Tomb from thirty thousand years in the past.

He glanced around, surrounded by unfamiliar faces. Not a single person he recognized.

Strange… where are Obscured Moon Fairy and Cinder Annihilation Fairy?

Instead, Li Yan found himself the center of attention, surrounded by a throng of Immortal Cultivators.

“Immortal Clan member! This humble one is Xiao Wu, Sect Master of the Swordless Sect. I had the honor of witnessing your prowess at the Demon Shadow Sect.”

“Immortal Clan member! With a single strike, you shattered that Shadow Old Demon! You are a true paragon for our generation!”

Xiao Wu of the Swordless Sect? Li Yan suddenly remembered—he had seen this man’s tombstone.

Staring at the spirited middle-aged cultivator before him, Li Yan felt an indescribable mix of emotions.

In the real world, the dried bones in the God’s Tomb were easily dismissed as strangers, evoking little emotional response.

But now, transported thirty thousand years into the past, standing face-to-face with the Immortal Cultivators whose names were etched on those tombstones…

And recalling the God’s Tomb itself—a veritable mass grave littered with their remains, many without even a name left behind—Li Yan couldn’t help but feel a profound sense of melancholy.

On the other side, a fairy carrying a zither approached Li Yan to greet him.

“This humble lute player greets the Immortal Clan,” she said. “This is my Dao Companion, Daoist Sword Heart.”

Li Yan recognized them from the tombstone: the lute fairy and her Dao Companion, a sword cultivator with his eyes covered. They bowed respectfully to Li Yan, who nodded slightly in acknowledgment.

The surrounding Immortals, those at the Body Integration and Great Ascension Stages, all recognized him.

It seemed the earlier and later segments of the Dream Realm were connected. By altering a portion of history, Li Yan had become known to these Ancient Immortals.

News of Li Yan’s arrival had spread far and wide. Even curious onlookers who hadn’t seen him before inquired about him.

Those nearby would sternly warn them, “Show proper respect to the Immortal Clan! He’s an Immortal from below the White Jade Capital, here to help us eradicate the Demonic Path and the Ancient Gods.”

A skeptic pointed at Li Yan and scoffed, “He’s just a loose cultivator at the first layer of the Golden Core Stage. How could he possibly be from the White Jade Capital?”

Before Li Yan could react, a white-bearded old Immortal stepped forward, muttering curses as he scolded the doubter.

“Show proper respect to the Immortal Clan!”

“The Dragon-Tiger Immortal Venerable? Even Senior is so deferential to that young man—could he truly be an Immortal descended from the White Jade Capital?”

Clearly.

Li Yan’s fame had soared after the battle with the Demon Shadow Sect. Every Immortal Cultivator who witnessed the spectacle that day remembered him.

As a result, Li Yan could now move freely among them, undisturbed by anyone foolish enough to bother him.

This was undeniably ideal.

It spared him endless trivial annoyances, and the surrounding cultivators—men and women alike—went to extraordinary lengths to curry favor with him.

“Immortal, if this humble one ascends to the White Jade Capital one day, might I seek refuge under your esteemed patronage?”

The white-bearded Dragon-Tiger Immortal Venerable bowed before Li Yan with the humility of a junior Dao Child.

The Sect Master of the Swordless Sect, the Lute Fairy, and others also lowered their heads in reverence.

They had all heard tales of Li Yan’s exploits. During the battle with the Demon Shadow Sect, he had guided both the Obscured Moon Sword Immortal and the Cinder Annihilation Fairy.

The Obscured Moon Sword Immortal had achieved enlightenment, breaking through her cultivation bottleneck and vastly improving her strength.

Under Li Yan’s guidance, Cinder Annihilation had deepened her understanding of the Asura Path, wielding her Cinder Annihilation Slash with unparalleled mastery.

Countless cultivators yearned for Li Yan’s guidance.

Even a fleeting word from an Immortal Clan member’s golden tongue held immeasurable value for them.

Watching the crowd’s obsequious demeanor, Li Yan maintained a serene facade while secretly suppressing laughter. These millennia-old beings revered him, a mere Golden Core cultivator, as an Immortal descended from the White Jade Capital. Even if he revealed the truth, they likely wouldn’t believe him. This situation suited his purposes perfectly.

He continued to project an air of immortal detachment, radiating the aloofness expected of a celestial being.

“Clear the path. Disperse.”

The white-bearded elder immediately erupted, “What are you still gawking at? Make way for the Immortal!”

“You blind fools! Disturbing the Immortal’s peace!”

As the crowd parted, Li Yan spotted two familiar figures ahead: the Obscured Moon Sword Immortal and the Cinder Annihilation Fairy.

The white-robed Obscured Moon and purple-clad Cinder Annihilation teleported before Li Yan. Gathering their skirts, they knelt in unison.

“Disciple greets Master!”
